Szobo wasn't outstanding by any means, but putting him in the same category of awful as Nunez and Salah doesn't seem fair. I think he lost his flair because he is forced to play the role of a box to box workhorse rather than a creative attacking midfielder with some more freedom. He's always looking to pass the ball even when he's at a good position to shoot, he completely lost his confidence a while ago.
Maybe a new manager can see him for what he really is and what he really can be and then he'll be able to showcase his immense talent next season. But the way this squad plays as a whole and the tactics Klopp refuses to change are the real issues here that need to be addressed.

Too many attacking minded/creative midfielders being asked to do legwork, we usually play with two inside forward goalscorers but Diaz is more of an out and out winger, Gakpo is not a false 9, Nunez is not a false 9/can’t hold the ball up. It's understandable but sad to see so many people so down on the team. All season long in what was meant to be a transitional year going into it, they've played out of their skins to make up for the lack of refinement. At no point in the season has there been the truly commanding sorts of performances we saw from Liverpool at its best in previous seasons and the team have to come back from behind time and again through pure grit, but that effort doesn't come for free and was bound to run out.
The injury crisis was a step too far - they just couldn't keep the intensity to keep it up any more with the lack of form in the guys coming back and their heads have gone.
I think we've all been a bit lost in the fairytale of winning it all in Klopp's final year, but the fact they've been in it at all is kind of mad.

It's been a poor 4-6 weeks, we haven't looked amazing for a large portion of this season. The times we was on a bit of roll we had City, Arsenal, Spurs type of decisions go against us costing us MASSIVELY as well as no luck with injuries the fact Jota is out again kind of says it all. We over achieved for most of the season considering what we expected after that draw vs Chelsea on the opening day but it's caught up with us as well as struggling to cope with games in all comps. Combine that with decisions and injuries that's why our season is now officially over, at least we won one last thing under Klopp it was a nice moment

We also need a world class CB.....not a potential world class CB, an actual top level, ready to go CB and we need a top class DM to allow MacAllister to play his actual role. If we don't get these 4 transfers sorted this summer, we'll be next season's Man Utd. What the hell is with our injuries as well? How are we constantly losing players to injuries? We needed one of Diaz, Nunez or Gakpo to match Salah's output this season and they have all completely failed, Salah still top of our G/A after essentially not doing anything since the turn of the year says it all. This is where we have come up short, the goals could have carried us through this dip, that's how you win games when you play badly.

I had the feeling Klopp had had enough a few months ago? and needed to go as soon as possible? he looks shattered and irritable? its a demanding job and very stressful enjoy your time away from football Jurgen.

We were never in a race, our league position flatters us beyond belief. We haven't been able to control a full game in god knows how long, and our front 3 are all medicore at best. Salah as much of a club legend he is, has to be sold in the summer, Diaz also needs selling. Nunez can just fuck right off, he was never clinical enough, but with 2 other forwards who don't score aswell he just makes you want to pull your hair out. Robbo has lost the plot since his injury, szobo again since his injury looks like a completely different player. I'm done with this season, bring on the next one already. A shame this is how Klopps reign had to end, but some of these players have fallen off a cliff.

I agree with what you said about Diaz,Diaz was the only player who was trying, apart from possibly Arnold, but I disagree with Macalister,I thought he had one of his worst games for us tonight. I also don't buy that Everton beating us cost us the league, if that makes them feel better about themselves, just shows how sad they are really, you could easily say palace cost us the league to. What makes me laugh about the bluenoses is how they celebrate as if they have actually won the league themselves, if I was an Everton supporter I would be asking were was this performance all season?they was in a relegation battle ffs, lost 6-0 against Chelsea! So Everton supporters have definitely more questions than answers.
When was your last trophy 🤔 oh yeah 95😂😂😂😂😂
I saw this coming after the utd game to be honest,we haven't been the same, lots of players out of form, confidence is shot with our players at the moment. I can see quite a few players going, with a new manager coming in, Salah will go, unfortunately I reckon Diaz will go to, I would like to see Nunez and Konate go,they are not good enough, I personally think klopps style of football and the training has caused loads of injuries for us over last few years and it's cost us big time. We have had some great memories under Klopp no doubt about that, and he will go down as one of our best mangers of all time, I still say shanks as number 1,paisley 2 and klopp 3.
We still need 4 points to guarantee top 4, 4 games left, 3 of them are tough games,so I can't believe I am saying this, but top 4 isn't guaranteed yet.
Have to bounce back now and beat West ham on Saturday.

'At 60mn we needed to change the game and with the exception of Elliot'... you didn't finish the sentence but I think you wanted to say (because it was obvious) that we put on defenders and not attackers. Klopp (who I love as well) totally missed a trick to put Danns on in the Derby . His ongoing absence is a shame after his cameos. Gravenbh scored a confidence lifting goal last weeknd. Bench... shame jota was injured. He's the only one atm willing to put it in the net. Thanks for the show. Amazing Klopp era..

The 1st time passing and dynamic movement has evaporated. Whether that's because they're scared of being caught up field or they've just ran out of juice, who knows.
But, for this team to be where it is, after last season is miraculous, so head up for next season, a new mix of youth and experience, shed off the old threads and batter the Bitters home and away.

Allowing Sadio Mane to leave because they didn’t want to increase his salary a bit has come back to hurt Liverpool. Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez are no way near the level of Bobby Firminio and Sadio Mane, unfortunately Diogo Jota is injured all the time. They relied on Mohammed Salah all this time but he can’t do it alone hence why he has gone off the boil completely. FSG allowing the documentary also was a bad idea because Klopp said in a previous interview that he would leave the club if that went ahead and he was true to the word.

Why did he drop gravenberch and elliott after their last performances, and bring in szbo who's been terrible and Jones whos been very average, maybe mitigated by return from injury. And why no Endo. He had no choice with the forwards considering who's available. The midfield I dont understand

Klopp will be known as the nearly man, 3 out of 4 titles races lost, 2 out of 3 CL finals lost, a Europa final lost. Ultimately we only won 2 big trophies. Because of all that I can only look back on Klopp's time with mixed emotions.

Nunez is a left winger like Mane, not a centre forward. Remember at the end of 2022 season when Mane played as a centre forward, with Diaz on the left and Salah on the right, Mane couldn't score goals. The same is with Nunez. Eventhough he has 18 goals and 18 assists this season, he is not a centre forward. He is a left winger who can play as a centre forward sometimes. I think we need to sell Salah and with that £100M, we need to buy a clinical centre forward like Isak. Isak doesn't get many chances but he is super clinical infront of goal. The new manager needs to buy Isak as his number 1 priority because if we can get a young and fresh front 3 of Nunez Isak Diaz next season, that would do us good next season in the Champions League also. Salah can't really dribble past defenders anymore.

The Documentary, then the Bellingham deal not happening then klopps announcement all in a season that has injury galore and won a cup, got to the QF of the Europa and FA cup and was in a title race with 5 games remaining he’s done wonders this season especially losing the leadership loss in hendo and Milner as well
