this is quite creative, but if I did it I would try to stack the tape on the side where it didn't touch until it would. But I guess you could se the tape because it's not black as the plastic
Few weeks ago one fin got loose (one on the far left) that had the least amount of adhesive surfice on it so I had to do what you would...I stacket the adhesive tape on top of each other and so now bigger surfice is holding it. Now it's all good and secure, and tape is not noticable at all

Why not consider puddle lights with the Lexus logo illuminated? Cheap and very cool looking. 🤔
the way you put the tape, the air resistance is bound to make it come loose sooner than later. cool mod tho!
