I've been to many different airshows and watched many different planes, but nothing moves quite like the Typhoon. I'm not saying it's more or less agile than other aircraft, but there is just something so smooth and graceful about it, the way it almost "powerslides" into its turns. It's quite unique.
I love how he sends it at the end into the cloud, and you can still hear the jet when it’s disappeared like thunder. Look forward to seeing it at RIAT myself.
@@jongrz I do agree with this. However, it is a very tidy display as always. I know the 2023 routine very well as I perform it at virtual airshows as the Virtual Typhoon Display Team. Its on Instagram. I am practicing the new routine at the moment but the 2023 routine is better and more fluid.
Great capture!! Caught me out on the flight in… and as mentioned in another comment… the exit was legendary!!! So many people looking round smiling and in awe of this demo!! Listening to the rumble above the clouds!☁️
The long awaited RAF Typhoon display in again typical British weather!! The dull weather made the D-Day stripes stand out in this thrilling display filmed on a Sony AX53 a COSFORD AIRSHOW! Elwyn R LOVE LOUIS SHIRLEY
For me sadly my fav WW2 bomber, the Lancaster didn't make it this year. I can remember last year it really was incredible to witness it close the airshow. It's merlin sound from its legendary propellers were just amazing literally in person. This year, some of the aircraft couldn't make it like that of the Rafale. In my opinion, I thought the Cosford Airshow last year was a bit better than this year actually mostly to do with the weather which wasn't a scorcher this year. Who will know might come to the Cosford Airshow in 2025? Hopefully an F22 raptor might one day rule the Shropshire skies and display at Cosford. People will be flabbergasted if they hear this fighter jet confirmed to Cosford
Ive seen many many displays over the years but for some reason the Typhoon always blows me away That transition fron from low speed high alpha to opening the taps and clearing off is so impressive Shame we didnt have a little more sun. The Hurricaine was a great display as well
Best Typhoon display I've ever seen. I constantly comment that I'm underwhelmed by Typhoon displays but this was excellent. Much better than the F35B display I just whinged about on Dafydd's channel :-)
Yeah me too. It's like RAF Typhoon pilots always hold back, whereas the French pilots flying the Rafale or Belgian pilots flying the F16 really give it some welly. But yeah, this guy was much more on point.
Hi Elwyn, Just wish I could have been there with you what a great day you must have had that is a nice bit of flying thanks for bringing it to me to see thanks very much, You take care of yourself and stay safe.🛫🛫⭐️⭐️👍👌
Thank you for all of your various videos they are awesome, as for cosford, I was there and it's nice to be watching the same display from a warm house 😊 I'm sure you will know what I mean 👍🏻
I like the overcast. Clouds give the viewer a better sense of motion and speed. - Nice smooth camera work. IIDSSM. The jet is always in the center of the frame.
Hi Elwyn, fantastic video as always mate!.. love this paint job, and it looks great!👌.....a very good display, luv the glow of the engines against that dark overcast sky!!💥💥👍.....fab job mate!...cheers Paul
I had a girlfriend in the early 1970's whose father had flown a Hawker Typhoon 1B before and after D-Day. I'm certain he'd have loved to fly a modern Typhoon.
I would say the Rafale is a bit more agile at lower altitudes and lower speeds, but that's what it was designed for. The Eurofighter is in its element as a high altitude interceptor.
It's always striking to me how incredibly different the eurocanards fly compared to modern U.S. fighters. I have to imagine that the first DACT between pilots used to training against their own is incredibly eye-opening as to the visual cues regarding the other aircraft's current positioning/energy state/vector etc.
Great stuff elwyn. Shame you missed the best manoeuvre though, the ‘Leaping Salmon’ is what the pilot turbo is calling it apparently. A slow roll into the max alpha slow flyby. It's insane.
You were right: the weather was tricky... As was painting the D-Day stripes on a delta aircraft. 🙂 But the display was flawless. With a big finale too! 👍
I am no professional photographer , but seeing the jet at close rangevis something you can do in a still photo. Showing an airshow in a way that displays the prowess of an aircraft to the viewers ( new and seasoned alike) should be in a frame of distance. At least as much as to let the audience appreciate the fullness and dynamics of the various maneuvers. Pull back a little, because I believe your instinct to capture detail of the aircraft is taking away from the detail of the performances. All respect and thanks for your ear. @ElwynR
I too think that Brightys display was wonderful, but turbo brings a very tight, smooth and elegant performance. I would find it very hard to pick a winner.
Now where else do you get the chance to get into a multi million £ aircraft and just chuck it about the skies? when his day is just a tad more fun than yours.
Y can the french biled buy them selfs buy we can not ? An thay make there on submernes an nuclear missiles ? Can any one tell me ? An air craft careers with cater polts. ? When it's cost to much for us to afford? An thay have better wages an better health care than we do ?
What do think of "MOGGY" 2024 RAF Typhoon display? flat display
Initially I thought the camouflage paint might impair visibility in displays, but these D-day stripes make every movement so easy to follow! Love it!
not a fan of the invasion stripes but certainly easy to see ! her amazing acceleration keeps a tight show .
Love it, fantastic tribute to the 80th anniversary and the original Typhoon!
No matter how many times I see it, I still get goosebumps when the typhoon rolls in. Excellent display, and that ending was legendary.

Sterling capture as always, thank you for the D-day livery; may all those involved RIP.

Howdy Big E! A ballet in the sky! Amazing performance and so smoothly performed! Thanks for the share! Saddle up!

One of my favorite planes putting on a great show!

Stunning. Thanks Elwyn, how you didn't fall over backwards/forwards at 01:10 I'll never understand 😅👊👍
I have a big belly to keep me balanced 🤣

Niiiice to have captured Turbo in action Elwyn, he can certainly flying that typhoon. Ty for the post. 👍😊🥰
Thanks for watching 👌 and the weather can only get better 🙏 🤣
This is pretty magnificent and such a stunning WWII livery in the Eurofighter Typhoon 😊

Many thanks it's my always my pleasure 👌
Amazing display , loved every minute but this takes me back to when my parents lived in Dinas Mawddwy under the Mach loop
Cool, I've had a few pints in the Red Lion over the years 👌
Thank you for all of your various videos they are awesome, as for cosford, I was there and it's nice to be watching the same display from a warm house 😊 I'm sure you will know what I mean 👍🏻
Love the Typhoon’s ❤
Them d-day stripes are epic on it
Elwyn you made MOGGY look amazing, thank you for sharing. Jeff in LA USA

I get dizzy if I get up too quickly from my chair 😂! That pilot is of a special breed ! Awesome ! You captured the flight perfectly...as usual👍❗
Glad you enjoyed it 👌 we were a bit cramped in there! so it was a bit tight to manoeuvre

That has to be the most agile jet I've seen fly.
I would say the Rafale is a bit more agile at lower altitudes and lower speeds, but that's what it was designed for. The Eurofighter is in its element as a high altitude interceptor.
I was there he ripped it up with that display absolutely awesome 👌
Yes it was! Cool 👌
What a truly awesome display of control, Skill & ability. ❤
Great job being able to make such excellent video of it. Well done indeed.

I've only just got home and Elwyn's already uploaded a video 😅
And me but that typhoon display was worth watching again
Great footage. Well filmed.
Thank you Jeff 👌
Thanks for sharing, great capture

Filmed all of it 🤷♂️ but this was a flat display so might have left it out
this was awesome...
great quality as always..
🤓👍
Love the typhoon!
And the way it just goes up at the end spectacular 🎉
Yes 👌 shame the cloud base was so low
0:40 just look at Turbo’s incredible agility on the barrel rolls, we got Maverick here ladies and gents 😄😱👏
You were right: the weather was tricky...
As was painting the D-Day stripes on a delta aircraft. 🙂
But the display was flawless. With a big finale too! 👍
Was there also what an amazing show❤
I was there too, I absolutely love that livery
Yes great show but a bit cramped
@@ElwynR I can agree on that
IMO The best 3 seconds of this vid is the PBY at the start. Any chance you shot its flight?
Just a few passes! It will be on my second channel as highlights
@@ElwynR Thanks, love your stuff!
Thank you
Just bought a Rode video mic pro ready for riat any recommendation for settings ? I need the audio to be right for the videos

I don’t know how to feel about this years display. I think brightys one last year was better. Banging scheme this year though!
I'll was till I get to see the full display 😇 this was a flat display
