I have thrifted tons of baskets, too, but I always leave them just as they are. The different rattan earthtone mixtures look beautiful together or apart. I always make a small mini qult for the bottoms of the ones I use every day. I put square ones in bookcases to use as drawers, others for cat toys, napkins, plants, socks, gloves, collections, pencils, knives, doilies, I hang them across windows on hooks and stack them in corners. Their uses are endless. You have some really nice ones!

It's chippy green and rough, the hooks are the old black wire twisted ones, it is awesome. I have a short, high window in my 103 yr old house that looks into the front porch. I hung that board across the top of the window (no curtains) and hung a variety of baskets, with and without handles on them, I also hung an old oak picture frame (just the wood frame, no picture), and a few embroidered pieces. It looks fantastic.

Those baskets are very clean (for Thrift Store finds). Every basket that I see in a Thrift Store is covered with dust, broken and filled with tacky flowers. Amazing results!

I really like how you used cling wrap with the decopauge medium applied to the paper, transferring it to your project piece. I have ruined my decopauge paper before because I had glue on my fingers and it ripped the paper. I’m going to start using your method. Oh…first time viewing your channel. I like them all. I get my baskets for. Thrift stores so they have wear on them but for what I use them for it's fine. I put plants in them and add them to my gardens you can add them in the plastic pots they come in or take them out of the pots and put them in the baskets with the soil. Either way the baskets will break down the roots might grow through the weave of the baskets and grow into your garden. When the seasons our over the basket will eventually break down and can be added to the compost. Environmentally easy and inexpensive.
I want to be brave like you because I have a lot of baskets. Seeing yours I may dip my toe into changing mine because I LOVE the drop cloth additions you made!! Beautiful! Thank you for sharing!

I like the way you put the fabric across on the baskets that just adds to it I've got a big basket that I want to use for a book to put books in and I'm going to put a fabric across that I have a cross-stitch thing that I might just flew on the front of my basket and then paint it it'll be beautiful thank you for the input

I have a ton of baskets. I can't help it, i just love them. I use them all over my house and the rest are piled up nicely and displayed on top of my china cabinet and my fridge. Never considered doing a DIY on them, love them just how they are, but you have inspired me to give it a try.
That was Amazing! I love Baskets...my husband leaves a pile of papers laying around...it's find a basket time...lol. I never saw an 'edger tool' like that ..works great. Take care.
