Sam IS Evan Hansen - saw it on 7th December and it was amazing.
Saw the show 9 times in NYC and once on tour. Would kill to see it in the West End.
Tiddlers Saw it on the 3rd preview, it’s amazing!
It's at par with the Broadway Cast that I've seen September last year,I urge you to see this London Cast when you get the chance.
Fun, I saw the show 9 times in West End. Incredible. I do prefer Marcus' (Alternate Evan) Voice over Sams. But Sams Performance is AMAZING.
@@lordsp Controversially I saw Marcus today and we were really disappointed, and there were numerous people that felt that way in the audience - he was really pitchy and it just wasn't the west end performance we had all been waiting for. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that the show just opened and he'd done the night before, too, so there is some growing into the role available, but i've seen 4 different casts on broadway and this just didn't do it for me.
@@rhysgarlick5099 I sadly only have the experience of watching DEH at WestEnd. After these shows (I saw Sam 6 times and Marcus 3, when he had to replace Sam in 4 consecutive nights) and I thought that Sam was a better actor and Marcus a better singer (and boy he could belt). There were a lot of people in the audience that were sadly camparing both to Ben EVERY NIGHT. Both Sam and Marcus are very Junior, and they will definitely get better with time :). I appreciate your comment btw! Which American Cast did you prefer?
This musical shows that people like me are not alone because i feel like Evan alot!
I got super lucky and got the chance to see this the second week it was showing and it blew me away. Always been my favourite musical and it didn’t disappoint, especially Sam. He’s perfect!
I went to the matinée performance when I saw Dear Evan Hansen at the west end so I didn’t see him perform but found audio of him in the show and he was so good
