A nice comparison to put the cost into perspective. After the second wave of alter came out it definitely helped the costs of these cards. Excited to see what GA has in store next.
Awesome to see how cheap these decks are! Its great that some staples can be used in every single deck like Grand Crusaders Ring and Quicksilver Grail. So if you have those already because you bought another deck the wind allies list would be like $100!
Or you could even buy the full Wind allies deck for $150 And then because you have Ring you could build Jimmy's list and even the Rai list for like $100 each. Building 3 top tier decks for $350 total is insane value compared the to the majority of other card games
Agreed got 6 people in my locals to start playing and for the locals to start hosting locals and championships. I offered tons of free cards from cases I opened to help make it easier for them to get into.
Dan what do you think of including Arondight in the wind allies list to ascension out for a really big sword? Of course then you also need to include a Lorraine level 3, so you might as well include ghosts of pendragon and intangible geist so that you can get back broken arondights. And like maybe throw in a couple spirit’s blessing and like Galahad to get multiple arondight hits off in a turn. Ghosts also lets you reset your tithe proclamation in case you need to loop avarice. Anyway, what do you think, can that work as a way to improve this wind allies list?
You're playing a lot of crux cards so you'll have consistancy issues. Ascension already pulls swords from banishment, so you don't need geist. Arondight isn't terrible, but wind is light on floating memory and doesn't have a lot of ways to freely dump floating memory. You might have a better time with prismatic edge or commiting more to ghosts of pendragon/ ally spam.
I think doing this changes the dynamic of the wind allies list pretty drastically. Things to note is that the wind allies lists that did well have incredibly low numbers of floating memory so your odds of having large amounts in discard to make arondight big are pretty low. The other thing that happens adding a bunch of crux cards to the deck drastically changes your consistency in how aggressive the deck can properly be. Ideally, if you want to be making these changes, you likely want to build your deck in a way that is meant to win at level 3 as opposed to being a backup plan of sorts
I'd like to see some more advertising pushes for the game, certainly, but this is always a silly thing to say about smaller TCGs. If you want to play a game but don't have a local group, you have to start trying to build one. Otherwise, there are tons of online events, including our leagues, official events on the GA discord, and WotS just started another league initiative for added online play through several other TOs. Lots of options to play any small TCG you want, but if the most important thing is that you want to play a game where you always have a group to play with, the big 3 are always there for you.

Enjoyed this style of video. the analysis is pretty spot on and the price comparison really puts things into perspective.

AWESOME work!! You put in the effort and now have a local scene. That's the way to do it! Congrats!!

I'm sorry you guys, @taylorboe1235 is a Maindeck team member and lovingly trolls almost every video I post XD
Small correction: Lime faced Matt Greaves (Fire Merlin) in Top Cut, not Jimmy
Oof, you're right! Totally mixed myself up!
Sorry to hear you bubbled out, sounds like the main deck cru did good though 👍
I'm happy with the team's performance! And Adam from our team avenged me a bit by winning the 64 player Sunday side event with the deck!
a top tier deck for $150? in ygo you get a playset of staples for that 💀
Also first
Affordable? Sure, but no where to play
Tell a friend and start a group.
