    I have yet to see a design challenge that these guys couldn't overcome with a well thought out plan, incredible install technicians and the proper equipment choices...plus, challenges are a LOT more fun than a plain old rectangular room.

    OK, what am I missing here...? The two rear speakers are literally 6" off the floor...? And the two front subwoofers have acoustic treatments covering them...?

    • @AudioAdvice
      @AudioAdvice  Год назад

      Great point. We should have pointed out a couple of additional things in the video. The first is that we custom cut out the speaker driver locations in the acoustic panels. So when you see the full wall panels both in the front and on the sides, the location where the speakers are have nothing in front of them except acoustically transparent cloth. The rear speakers are slightly lower than we would typically want them for the rear row because they had to be put in the bar walls, however, they are very close to correctly height for the primary listening position which is lower down because of the risers. Both great points that we should have made in the video. Thanks.

    Very interesting, how do you account for the slope in the roof in your gui tool? Celling hight?

    • @AudioAdvice
      @AudioAdvice  10 месяцев назад

      Glad you liked it. There was not a way to have the tool account for angled ceilings, with all of the possible variations, it would be far tool complicated. We just have to do ones like this manually after we start with the basic room dimensions as a rectangle. However the tool still works fantastic for screen size, sight lines, etc. Thanks for watching

    Was there any specific reason of not using the JBL synthesis preamp on this project if your using the JBL synthesis speakers?

    • @AudioAdvice
      @AudioAdvice  Год назад

      The customer specifically wanted an Anthem 1140 and the ARC Genesis software. However, there is a big advantage to using all JBL Synthesis products like you said and is typically what we recommend. So at the end of the day it was just customer preference. Hope that helps!

    The homeowner could have saved himself a big headache if he would have had the builder design a room perfectly rectangle, right from the beginning. Missed opportunity! This could have been a perfect storm in the home theater world. The homeowner either wasn’t thinking or he didn’t care. My friend had a house built and told the builder just what he wanted. If this was an existing house it would be a different story. That’s when you have to make exceptions. Still looks very good though.

      You can make a decent theatre for not a lot of money. Used projector, white wall, find some nice vintage speakers or some new budget ones. Monoprice has good budget speakers in my opinion, you can get new Dolby atmos AV receivers under $400, and use the couch you already have! Applied much of this to my setup and I'm all in less than 2k and have a decent little setup!
