When I lived in Nara, Japan, I had a friend that worked for the Nara National Museum in the restorations dept. We talked a few times about this tomb, as she had colleagues that had worked on projects in China and a lot of the artifacts in the Shoso-in collection at the museum came from China. She said pretty much the same things mentioned in the video. Before the arrival of Buddhism, ancient Japanese buried their nobility in tombs called kofun that are scattered across the country. The largest ones look like keyhole shaped islands surrounded by a moat on maps and in aerial photos. The Daisen kofun in Sakai, Osaka, while not as elaborate, rivals this one in sheer size. As luck would have it, for better or worse, the museum was doing emergency restoration work on a local tomb that made for a good example. Archaeologists from the Nara National Museum had drilled a small hole in the burial chamber of the Takamatsuzuka kofun in Asuka, Nara and used a small fiber-optic camera to explore it. Mold spores hitched a ride on the camera and damaged the ancient frescoes of the Chinese zodiac that lined the chamber. They ended up unearthing and dismantling the entire burial chamber and moved it piece by piece to one of the museum's facilities to preserve it. Needless to say, it took a lot of time, labor, and money just to stablize it. That's without having to deal with poisons, ancient traps, and structural instability in a much more elaborate structure. She also mentioned how shockingly fast ancient things can oxidize when exposed to the air. She said in some cases you can actually watch things like paint and textiles wither before your eyes.

Such a shame that "instructions, teachers, materials and where to find them" aren't possible. I wonder, too, if there's anyone on this globe today who would have the interest, the patience, the fine motor skills and the PERSONAL HIGH STANDARDS to learn any ancient skill and then possibly attempt to create a work using the same methods, style, creativity and commitment. Unequalled. Unparalleled. And how wonderful that these finds exist. Emperor chin fascinated me. The fact that he conquered in United China was a huge accomplishment. But the truth to this man was. He was a savage to those lands that he took over. Because unfortunately, the royals were forced to work the wall and were actually buried in it as the Marvel of The Great Wall that we can see from space. It's nothing more than a cemetery. The fact of his tomb is astonishing a true Marvel. Something birthtaking and amazing words couldn't describe of what's his tomb? Looks like they should send a drone in. We have little flying drones. We have drones that look like bugs. We could drill a hole and put a drone through and have an outlook without disturbing anything or breaking anything. But the history and artifacts that are in. There is so much history for china that still is unknown

Well, I agree that something doesn’t compute here. If you know what you’re up against then you take the necessary precautions to get it to the two if somebody hasn’t already done, so, which it would be hard to believe if they have any after all these years and go for it otherwise you’re just gonna talk about this for ever in a day and no one will ever know just because you know, a fear

I wish they would go ahead and excavate the tomb because I want to see it. I think the Chinese government doesn’t want to open the tomb because it is the first emperor and he is credited with uniting and organizing china. They were kind of forced to dig up the clay army and they would rather let the emperor sleep, than disturb him and possibly destroy his tomb. I just want to see how correct the history books are when it comes to this period of ancient china and I would love to visit and see the tomb. It’s like that vault in India that is supposed to stay locked or the world will end. It was the richest temple in India and there is a vault that hasn’t been opened. I would like to see it as well.
