The python didn't stat the fight after all, it is used to crocs from back home and probably knows they're more trouble than they're worth, on the other hand the alligators have nothing like an python naturally in their environment. It's used to viewing everything as prey.
Surprisingly, this shows just how SOLID a Bermis Python's body is. Over 13 feet & 200 plus lbs of pure, freaking muscle. To take a bit force of 2000 lbs & still back down an alligator is dangerous & scary all together.
Definitely not 200lbs lol, maybe like the world records but not one 13ft long. I saw when they caught the record 18ft burm in the everglades and it wasn't quite 200lbs and it was much heavier than the last 18fter they caught. Like 6" longer but 50lbs more.

My only question is what is it that every gator does when in a fight especially in the water or eating some zebra is they immediately do the death roll. This gator seem to not be that hungry .

If it is now an established breeding population then it may well be very difficult for the authorities to do something about it. Nevertheless efforts must be made to a) raise awareness about the potential threat to native wildlife of releasing non-native snakes into the American wild and b) take every effort to try to remove them from the Everglades.
Maybe someday they'll also consider the millions of feral cats and our other four legged furry friends that have probably displaced more native species than any other introduced animals in the last 100 years.

In any ecosytem animals evolve over generations to have natural adapatations to help them exist, breed, avoid predation and strike a balance with other animals. When a non native species is rapidly introduced, especially an alpha predator it can wreak havoc upon the native wildlife and create an extreme disbalance as much as throwing a fox into a room with kittens. Pythons didn't swim from Asia and arrive in Florida. If that was the case that would simply be natural selection.
Bob Gymlan pythons have known to kill crocodiles and could of easily killed it. You can tell the crocodile was about to die because veins are sticking out of the crocs neck and refrained its bite because it was too weak to hold it

Both new they were out matched. One was not stronger and could overpower the other so they just gave up and whent to find smaller prey

I wish I could go back to Florida again this summer. I had a dream this morning that my family and I were taking a boat ride somewhere and saw two alligators sticking their heads up. I really LOVE alligators and crocodiles.
are you okay? I've lived here all my life and used to gig gators they are so incredibly stupid. I could still do it except I've aged out. just about impossible to catch if you know WTF you're doing (which I did). yeah they're delicious eating and I used to sell the hide. admittedly this was about 50 years ago though. yeah watch "Swamp People" those people are really nasty. But I didn't shoot them like they do.

Incredible footage. Highlights an important global issue too: that of the impact of non-native species on native fauna, in this case the Alligator. If it is now an established breeding population then it may well be very difficult for the authorities to do something about it. Nevertheless efforts must be made to a) raise awareness about the potential threat to native wildlife of releasing non-native snakes into the American wild and b) take every effort to try to remove them from the Everglades.
Maybe someday they'll also consider the millions of feral cats and our other four legged furry friends that have probably displaced more native species than any other introduced animals in the last 100 years.

Well you may have a point with humans but that's another conversation. Non native species are introduced species into an environment by MAN'S INTERFERENCE. In any ecosytem animals evolve over generations to have natural adapatations to help them exist, breed, avoid predation and strike a balance with other animals. When a non native species is rapidly introduced, especially an alpha predator it can wreak havoc upon the native wildlife and create an extreme disbalance as much as throwing a fox into a room with kittens.
Pythons didn't swim from Asia and arrive in Florida. If that was the case that would simply be natural selection.

Bob Gymlan pythons have known to kill crocodiles and could of easily killed it. You can tell the crocodile was about to die because veins are sticking out of the crocs neck and refrained its bite because it was too weak to hold it
