Vintage Camera Customizing | Olympus Pen EES-2 x Kintsugi

The Japanese art of kintsugi is based around the philosophy that even broken or imperfect objects have use and value, and helps serve as a reminder to remain optimistic in times of struggle, celebrating the flaws as opposed to hiding them.
Often found on the iconic blue and white pottery, I chose to emulate such patterns and colors on a vintage Olympus Pen EES-2 half-frame 35mm camera. I found this camera at a flea market locally after a great bit of searching. While I find cameras to refurbish and sell, this one is for my personal collection. It's compact and pocketable, with the added benefit of double the shots per roll.
Paints used were Createx Autoborne Silver sealer, topped with Createx Wicked Blue & Opaque White, then cleared. Lace used for patterns is early 1900s vintage, from Long Island.
In a world where every camera looks similar, it's nice to have both a tool and a piece of art in one. The works of Japan Camera Hunter/Shueido Camera, Adrian Prada, and other visual artists are where I draw the majority of my inspiration from.
