got one for Christmas, dang comments saying the feds are watching me fire. They're also watching me watch youtube from the throne.
Relatively new shooter. Had it about a year. Can't get to the range a lot so I use this at home. Have definitely seen improvement in groupings, plus the muscle memory and familiarization with your gun are a huge plus. I like it, but to each his own.
I used this system before. It is nice that it gives you the stats, lets you do the drills, but the hassle of setting it up with smartphone, etc. made it rare usable. However recently I got another one with the electronic target and really enjoy using it. Takes no time to setup and because of that I use it way more: watching TV, browsing internet or even while eating :). Day and night in my opinion!
What’s it called
I used to practice at my job. Laser scanners were on every truck and every item had a code. Take it out shoot the item and see if you could hit it first shot. It had a trigger on the scanner. A reasonable pistol shape and grip. I’m not an expert shot but when I bought my edc the first 31 rounds were all center body mass. That made me happy.
Hilarious & cool lol
Oh snap I used to work food service and when the boxes of food was unloaded from truck I had a date gun.
No wonder I’m so accurate!
Wait. Nvm 😝
Been using a Laserlyte training cartridge and a B27 target mounted on the wall for years. It's great for draw and fire practice since that is not allowed at my range.
It’s a good product. You need to have the target lit with bright light. Unlimited shooting with the free app, but for how long?
I like the CMMG shirt
Yep
Hell yeah!!!!!!
Where did you get the shirt
I've tried to get one but apparently there is a Gag Order on that information.
I have had and used this system for years before I even heard of Mantis!
The Mantis system I ordered came in last week. It would be better priced about 25% cheaper, considering what you get. Everything works great, and the interaction with the app is perfect, I just wish it were a little cheaper.
While I like the concept of these and others like it, I do have a valid concern.
If you practice with one of these devices, you have to rack the slide after every shot. Doing this over and over again would build muscle memory and if, god forbid, you have to use your handgun, what’s not to say you fumble because of that practice?
Hope that makes sense,
To avoid that, you want to practice double taps, even tho the second shot is not doing anything with the laser cartridge.
You could use a gun that doesn't require racking the slide, e.g. a DA revolver, a hammer-fired gun, or a striker-fired gun with re-strike like a Taurus.
@@jaisonwithani yep, I agree. With one of those, it is totally doable and could be useful.
Look up Dryfire Mag
you could use it with something like a "dry fire mag" im interested in the combo of that and this
I am looking hard at a dry fire system.... this looks like a pretty nice one, espically adding the pro to the mix,
In addition to the concerns with the data collection that is happening here, how is a gun that isn't using a real bullet improving one's accuracy when there's no klick like you get with live ammo? Or is re-creating that kick? We never see you shoot it so I can't tell if it is kicking.
Can this work with that Dry Fire trigger reset mag? If so, that would be a cool combo.
I’ve been trying to find the answer to this as well
Does it also work as a shot timer?
Awesome video thank you for sharing. Sounds like you're holding your breath while you're shooting.
Does this work with the dryfiremag? The dry fire mag doesn’t use your firing pin so I’m not sure how it’ll activate the laser for this system. Please share your knowledge if you know the answer to this, thank you
Question! Would I need to rack the slide after every trigger pull on a hammer fire type of pistol? I understand on a striker fire i would have too.
NO. Just thumb the hammer to single action before each shot
Just stumbled upon the Strikeman. My wife and I would are considering this as a way to practice in our garage. We have a unique layout that is 75 ft deep x 14ft wide. It’s conditioned space too so would be great to practice both the 9mm and the AR15. Is there a distance limit on the Strikeman System?
Seems better/easier if you would use a Hammered Pistol
As opposed to Striker Fired except maybe a Walther P99
Which resets
They have a reload mag that resets the trigger for you. Its pretty dope. Dont have to rerack everytime
Love your shirt, CCMG CRUNCH.
Sweet, you guys are the coolest.
Keep up the great work and "HAPPY HOLIDAYS "!! Be safe.
It's really cool that the Strikeman company, the telecom company, Apple/Google, the NSA, and probably some more people (contractors) can monitor and database all of your dry fire practice in real time.
Good come get sum
Interesting, never thought of that but excellent point
Damn, your comment hella ruined the hype I had... lol 😔
@GideonMagoh errrmerrgurd...They see me shootin!!! 😩😩🫣
Relax, dude. Nobody cares about your dry fire scores. 🙄
This is a really really good find!
Bummer no one makes these in a "bore sight" design, not only could you dial in a scope with it but also train.
88 do you feel this has improved your skills? Side by side testing, lazer to live fire evaluation possible? Would you think this could help zero sights ?
Find something like a taurus g3c that has a multi strike so you don't have to keep racking
That or a used Beretta 92 or CZ 75
Sounds like you have to rack it every shot? Seems like the mantis system is better?
To my knowledge the Mantis is the same as this. But you can get mags by Dry Fire Mag that reseat your trigger. Kind of a must have imo
Ice ordered mine almoat 2 weeks ago and still not even shipped. Does anyone know generally how long it takes to receive??
Same here. Been 2 weeks and I see nothing. About to refund the shit and go with someone else
It shouldn't take long to send a mount, target and cartridge 😅 ffs
@@ItsJustGravy I ordered through the strike fire website. Should have bought it in Amazon so I can at least refund and buy the mantis. Maybe that shit won't take forever. I looked for videos of the strike fire review and no one has mentioned how long it takes to receive but have mentioned many other complaints like the app itself...so maybe a week or more and I'll just order another laser cartridge from somewhere else I'm tired of waiting
@@ItsJustGravy greatttt. Just thought about it....I think you might be ahead of me getting one then if you ordered a full two weeks. I am at 12 days without shipping. Damn you lol
Probably going to ask for a pro version love the basic
This guy is 12 feet away. Can you use at 25-30 feet? Or farther?
I've been looking at these recently, was wondering if any were compatible with something like the TTriger dry fire magazine or something similar?
What is a good none cell phone version that works.
I xan see this being great for hand guns, but for longer rifle shooting it would not account for srop off. Will be getting one myself
I get the impression you like Captain crunch, right lol Eric is still a kid at heart
It's not captain crunch though.. it's CMMG CRUNCH
Thanks, bought one.
Will it help you to calibrate your red dot by chance?
Well I guess just depends on your distance but, line your red dot up exactly where the laser is pointing
@@CMS069 Some say 10, 15, 20, 25yds./meters. Up to you
@@osiris654but the laser only activates when the gun is fired right?
@osiris654 it's not a bore sight.
does it harm your gun?
Nice video, but I have NO IDEA what the promo code was! Rewound several time......
That's awesome I need one
Great video. Thanks!
Does it have the recoil of a real gun. That would be really cool
You use a real gun and a dummy round so no
Son got one for Christmas, the cartridge wouldn't fit in the barrel. Any ideas?
Thanks.
Buy the right cartridge
@@ItsJustGravy 9mm cartridge for 9mm gun.
Another Great Video 💯💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
I ordered one, thought I would give it a try. Update, been 5 days and have not heard anything.
Did you ever get it.? I'm still waiting 2 weeks, and they're yet to even make a label
@@ItsJustGravy It took about a month to get mine.
I'm surprised RUclips didn't copyright-strike that shirt of yours!! hahaha
Cool device, cool system. I don't like that it has to be racked every time after one shot.
D/A S/A.
They make mags that reset your trigger. Look up Dry Fire Mag or something like that
Got one for Christmas love this thing… also catch them on sale the most expensive thing is different lasers
Does anyone know if you can zero these things or are they truly perfectly centered enough?
I ordered a Strikeman 9mm practice laser. I had to return it, due to the fact that it was very inaccurate. No matter how it was loaded in the chamber the laser dot always impacted the target about 2" high & right. This was shooting at a target only 20' away. I think that that is totally unacceptable for any kind of serious training.
Please please put out more LLP Eric!!!!!! Get matt on the line pls!!
What does he have on his Glock 19 that has replaced his backplate?
Looks like I think a Leopold red dot that the emiter sits behind the backplate and uses a prism like system... Google it
Sucks that you won’t get any kickback since they offer an even better deal for Black Friday at 30% off.
Bro where did you get that shirt
Where you get the shirt
Oh, Eric.... Kinda funny that your "hotness" CZ was not up to your Glock.... just sayin'.... 😁😉😅 is there a revolver unit, for .38/.357, .44 or .45 ACP? Or a combat/IPSC type practice, from draw to shot?
I bought one for 9mm and 45ACP. It can't hurt. I'm a terrible shot. lol.
Never call yourself a terrible shot, maybe bad/poor but never terrible. All you need is a little more practice (or training), and you'll get up to good/great and even better. I consider myself high poor to lower decent. I can usually put on target, just not always where I want. I need more practice as well.
do the cartridges come with it or do you have to buy them separately
Nice unit for a good price. Thanks Eric and Chad
Sweet.
That shirt 👕 is fire 🔥 🫡💫💯
With enough use the striker will poke a hole in the plastic button and it will stop working.
Maybe it's much better to get a BB gun to practice at home? You can find exact replica of your firearm to practice👌🏻
Wish I could get someone to invest in mine which is for the ar with full recoil and trigger reset.
You made one?
@@osiris654 I have the full designs for it, but like I said... I need investors for it to be run by engineers to make sure it works right and money for a prototype. But on paper it works.
You teally only save 10 bucks. Shipping is free until you put in the code, then shipping changes to 10 bucks. But saving 10 bucks is better than nothing.
Is there one out there that allows a magazine sim before having to load, the racking back is not got training every shot
3:25….He said tit…ha ha.
To everyone whos worried about the feds watching you do this.... they know how much ammo you buy and how long you spend at the gun range and how often. They are always watching you... the only think you can do is make sure you are better trained then them.
Can we get a range video for a change?
Ya I'm not adding my info to an app that tracks me as a shooter
C02 bb guns and a cardboard box of rags with a target scotch taped to it and a couple magazines in the back of it to stop any that get thru and an extendable $6.00 magnet to pick up the bb's and reuse them. You can thank me later. Wear safety glasses.
Tell me where you can do that indoors? Lol that’s the perk to this whole thing..
@@crazi3whit3boyy in your room
Who is whispering 10 and 9? It sounds like a woman’s voice?
The MantisX laser app is SO SO mucher better. The Strikeman app is garbage compared to it.
No difference
Boo
اول تعليق 😂😂
Nope. Second…
but it still not really good for good target practice because there is 0 blowback and recoil , but than again it don't cost any ammo
It's not meant for target practice, it's meant to practice drills.
Does this work with the dryfire mag???
