They clearly thought I was some kind of influencer, while I’m in fact very opposite to who influencers are. I post maybe once or twice a year and I prefere to not share my personal information. I came to the event as student of fashion school. I just wanted to, sort of, feel the vibe of that particular brand, as I had to make a research and presentation on their branding next week. I guess I dressed up properly and felt confident, that made a deal. Fun experience though.
It's easy if that's the first thing you learned (learnt?). If you grew up and learn a particular type of drag acts and then got exposed to different type of drags, you're gonna have some sort of resistances to it. At least for some who fight on their own definition of drag act, it helps heighten the art. (Only with added conflicts, which is breakfast for them anyway).
My mother's favourite even she ever went to was a drag performance and bingo as a fundraiser for aids she went to a couple years ago. It managed to get her, an avowed goth music and hard rock fan, to not shut up about the song Milkshake for about a month, I'd say drag truly unites people in ways we cannot comprehend.

You could've hit up Novympia! They were at this convention too! I love Novympia. They're so cool and funny and they also do drag. If you ever go to another drag con in the UK, I'd highly recommend checking them out. They seem like really cool and down to earth people too.
