Every once in a while, some players come back from Japan and have a reawakening. Zomba is a good example, but he is one of them.

Or perhaps the character is and was too undervalued as being anything other than Mid-Tier.
Sounds like a skill issue for me
If someone can solo main a character to win multiple majors and B tiers in a single year against some of the best characters in the game I think that’s a good character, now let’s add a second player with similar but slightly worse results to the mix.
