Thanks for another fine video. I don't believe I've acquired any collectable clubs yet, all players so far. I've pretty much followed your video on cleaning heads, removing and re epoxying and re pinning the head... I've put new grips on several, removed and reapplied old grips on others . I love playing them have had several people ask me about them on the course. I invite them to hit a ball and tell them about you and time warp golf.
Thank you, Dave! Much appreciated. And I'm happy to hear that the tutorials have been useful for you in getting your clubs back on the course. Showing up at the course with them always sparks good conversations for me, too.
Agreed 100%. I've got a club or 2 I don't dare refurb, but the other 75ish clubs I brought back to life to play. If I Lol! If I were to buy a club for $500 and mess it up repairing it... I don't wonna even think bout it! LoL!
@@TheHickoryHacker I tried a socket head brassie once, and it didn't work out... yeah, I leave those up to you. I think I'll stick with irons and putters. Lol
I've got a few category 3 clubs that have sat on the shelf because I haven't felt like my restoration skills are good enough to work on them yet. I don't care to collect so I avoid purchasing those clubs unless the price makes sense.
Hello! I've recently gotten into hickory golf. After watching a ton of your videos I've bought my first hickory clubs and will be trying my hand in restoring some of them. My question is I just recently watched a round of yours where you played 1940's featherie golf and you mentioned putting some sets together. How would I get in contact with you to see about purchasing some 1800s clubs to play with?
Nice summary.
Thanks, Martin! Glad to hear that from a fellow collector/player.
I like your golf room!
Thank you! I’ve got a lot more space now to get more stuff. 😂

Yeah, I’m not comfortable restoring socket head woods yet. I need a lot more practice before I’d try it on a club I like.

Yeah, I had some like that, too. I wish I’d waited to do a few clubs that I marred looking for the pin. I’ve got much better pin-finding ability now.
