We have 70's rockers still touring in their 80's. I'm 58 and always amazed at how young some of these people passed, and considered elderly at the time. I'm encouraged outside any events to watch how this whole thing unfolds, another thirty years :)
Ben Hardaway's nickname was "Bugs" and he was also the (alleged) source for Bugs Bunny's name. Hardaway was the animator and people in the office referred to the rabbit as Bugs' Bunny. At least, that's the way the story goes.
George Cleveland was great as Gramps on the old Lassie episodes. Sad when he passed away.Thats when Hugh Reilly, June Lockhart, and Jon Provost replaced Jan Clayton and Tommy Rettig. Oliver Hardy, another great one.
A lot of people seems to me died in their 50s and 60s. I guess medicine and less smoking playing a role. Don't abuse your body folks if you want to live a long healthy life.
...Another one to add (or not) to a future revision: "The Mad Hatter", "The Lord High Executioner", Albert Anastasia, assassinated 25 October 1957, Park Sheraton Hotel Barber Shop, New York City... ...or, depending on how one views his "legacy", maybe he does not deserve to be mentioned in dignified company...
I love how you repost videos if there’s a correction to be made. Thank you for your hard work on these beautiful videos
Thank you too!

1950s died musicians
Excellent presentation. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful music, too-matches the tone so well!
Thank you very much!
I don’t know what changes you made to this video, but adding the fact that Gene Lockhart was June Lockhart’s dad was tremendous!
Mr. Bogart was remarkable!
Its sad to think if they had the medicine then that they have now, a lot of those people would have lived much longer.
Thank you so much for video.
You are most welcome
Just hearing Oliver Hardy in that piano scene made me laugh. Maybe they should have had a radio show.
My first full year of life. I remember most all of these names.

The year I was born. Interesting to see some of the stars I like were gone before I came into the world. R. I. P.
Me too🎉

Thanks for that. There were a few organized crime figures that died in 1957. You will see them in an upcoming video.
Banksy? No thanks .
In memory of 1953 you can add Jorge negrete
