I have that book The Midas Touch by Kenneth Hagin Sr. I have read it twice. I agree on his approach and as a concern on how preachers can either abuse or mishandle the Word. I do encourage people to study the Word themselves and ask God to confirm the truth. However because some preachers may mishandle the Word on prosperity it doesn't mean that God doesn't want His children to prosper. You must understand some denominations equally don't understand tongues & the gifts of the Spirit. They'll say it's of the devil. Other denominations say healing is done away with including no more Apostles. Others say prosperity is of the devil. Well Tongues, healing, gifts of the Spirit, prosperity is all included in God. Their has been charlatans always in the old covenant, new covenant, and all through history until now. That doesn't change God's plan to prosper His people. You can get off course focusing on anything in the bible and get in a ditch and fall into error. My personal life has been blessed tremendous by God's way to prosper and not the world's way to prosper. A person can get critical and judgemental and reject God's benefits for His children. One days God revealed to me out of Gen chapter 2 He created the Gold, onyx, bedillium which is pearls. But also every resource that produces wealth. It's in heaven but God put it in the earth. That's before the fall of Adam and before satan showed up in the garden of eden. When we finish this life on earth then heaven awaits us with the same precious jewels we see on earth. God told me the gates of hell don't have pearls, hell walls aren't jasper or any other stone. The floors in hell aren't gold. No homes in hell. Because satan didn't create none of it in heaven or earth. God created it but at the fall in the garden of eden that's when satan obtained legal right to control it on earth. But Jesus paid the price by His blood to give His children access to the commonwealth of Israel in Eph ch 2. If prosperity was created by the devil then he would have it in his home called hell. Where hell will be cast into the lake of fire. So we do warn the church about abuse of prosperity but then not rejecting it. Then you get into false humility which is a form of pride.

What's mammon? Isn't it written in the Bible, that "above all things I want you to prosper" I emphasize on the word above all things. So above all things, God wants you to prosper. Well he doesn't want you to serve money but he wants money to serve you. Ask yourself a simple question, it's written that God put everything he created under man(you) control. Are you in control?

Study Matthew 6 and you'll see Jesus him self emphatically teaching about not laying up treasure on earth, he goes further to say you cannot love God and Mammon. Jesus also said that beware of covetousness, a man's life does not consist in the abundance of things he possesses. Jesus was pointing to the fact that there are things in Life much more important than material possessions and focus on wealth blinds one to these things.

The problem I have with teaching like yours is it keeps people broke, poor, unable to support their churches financially, and help people with financially needs because you teach a God that wants you broke in order to be humble. Yet when they get enough followers and start getting paid for media videos they post they are hypocritical because they accept the money they claim God don’t want you to have. You call it “prosperity gospel”. So my question is what bible are you reading: Genesis 39:2 the Lord was with Joseph and he prosperous man Psalms 35:27-The Lord is magnified in the prosperity of his servant Job 36:11-If you obey and serve him you will spend your days in prosperity and years in pleasures Joshua 1:8-You shall make your way prosperous and have good success Deut 8:18-I am the Lord who gives your power to get wealth. 3 John 2-Prosper and be in health even as your soul prosper: Mark 10:29-30-Jesus said if leave everything for his sake and the gospel you will have houses and lands with persecution (which by the way your ministry is attempting to persecut those God has blessed) Abraham was rich, Isaac was rich, Jacob was rich, Job was rich, Ester was rich, Ruth and Boaz was rich, Joseph of Arimathea was rich. You can get off course focusing on anything in the bible and get in a ditch and fall into error. My personal life has been blessed tremendous by God's way to prosper and not the world's way to prosper. A person can get critical and judgemental and reject God's benefits for His children. One days God revealed to me out of Gen chapter 2 He created the Gold, onyx, bedillium which is pearls. But also every resource that produces wealth. It's in heaven but God put it in the earth. That's before the fall of Adam and before satan showed up in the garden of eden. When we finish this life on earth then heaven awaits us with the same precious jewels we see on earth. God told me the gates of hell don't have pearls, hell walls aren't jasper or any other stone. The floors in hell aren't gold. No homes in hell. Because satan didn't create none of it in heaven or earth. God created it but at the fall in the garden of eden that's when satan obtained legal right to control it on earth. But Jesus paid the price by His blood to give His children access to the commonwealth of Israel in Eph ch 2. If prosperity was created by the devil then he would have it in his home called hell. Where hell will be cast into the lake of fire. So we do warn the church about abuse of prosperity but then not rejecting it. Then you get into false humility which is a form of pride.

The problem I have with teaching like yours is it keeps people broke, poor, unable to support their churches financially, and help people with financially needs because you teach a God that wants you broke in order to be humble. Yet when they get enough followers and start getting paid for media videos they post they are hypocritical because they accept the money they claim God don’t want you to have.
