I like your strategy of playing. All makes sense and is informative. Also getting paid for two pair is a must. Unless of course your playing with the casinos money and want to go for the bigger pay tables for a bit. Your introductions are pretty cool as well as Becky's.

Hi, Susie. Yes you can “de-select” the cards that are held and make your own choices, but the machine already holds the correct cards “in most cases”. But I believe if the player is dealt a flush (which also contains a 4 to the Royal) it will auto-hold will select the flush (which it “sees” as a win) instead holding the 4 to the Royal, which would be the proper play. So, Yes, I don’t trust the auto-hold feature, plus it totally removes all the challenge & fun from the game.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

Barona has good paytables but is so far out of the way. Somewhat surprising they would turn the auto hold on given those pay tables, which are comparable to Vegas off strip. Hope to see you at Pala or Pechanga again.

You’re right, I would have had nothing to lose!😂 Go figure, perfect play with auto-hold & the 2 worst sessions of my career. Just goes to show you that “perfect play” isn’t necessarily the holy grail of video poker. I’ve always said in video poker, “You can hold the correct cards and hit a Royal, you can hold the incorrect cards and hit a Royal, and you can hold no cards and hit a Royal”. Is there no way to turn off the auto hold? I think I would get lazy and not pay attention. I don't always like to play "perfect poker" and like to pick my own way.
Only the slot tech can turn that feature off when directed to do so by the slot manager (which may have to go through an approval process with the Gaming Control Board before being allowed to do so). I’m with you, I prefer to handle my own card selections.😁🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

Never understand why ppl hold 2 pair when one is a payback pair. I never hold the second pair bc the best you can get is a full boat whereas if you dump the 2nd pair, you can possibly get a 4 of a kind. Holding 2 pair nullifies all chances! I go for best possible hand not 2 pair which pays an extra 5 credits. Who cares? I only keep 2 pair if they are both non paybacks. Same with royals...you can't get a royal if you throw the suited 10 away because it doesn't pay back unless Jacks or better come up. Have had many royals when I hold two SUITED cards to it but never had one fill in when I throw the suited 10 away since it doesn't roll around again in the draw! Boggles my mind how some ppl play with high stakes! I get that 2 pair pays 2x your bet on Jacks or better and bonus poker but it pays the same as 1 pair on dB, ddb and tdb. See tons of vp players keep 2 pair with aces too on the bonus games...seriously?! Yep 40 or 45 credits is so worth the chance instead of going for 4 of a kind! If playing ddb or tdb...u never hold 2 pair with aces as one of the pairs! Otherwise why even play ddb or tdb? The OBJECT is to get the best possible hand and that folks is NEVER the correct strategy regardless of what anyone says! Play jacks or better if you have no idea how or why the bonus games like ddb or tdb work. Please! It's excruciating to watch ppl play this way like SM does.

In doing so, you’ll begging to memorize all the correct long term strategy holds. Each game has a different perfect strategy that differ from each other in many cases. When we stray from perfect strategy, the odds of outlasting the “house edge” increase and we ultimately lose our bankrolls more quickly. Give daily practice on a simulator a try (even just 10 minutes a day) and see if your long term results improve. There are approximately 2.6M hands in video poker…..learning proper strategy will greatly enhance and contribute to your long term success with the games. Great questions and view points!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Hate your double talk advice; "move machines when not playing well, but Ive planted my flag here". 🤦♀️ Can you "un-hold" cards the machine has pre picked for you, or are you forced to keep what machine picks ? Why play something so long if YOU KNOW its crap? Casinos ALWAYS looking for ways to fast play customers to get you to dump money in quicker! YOU should know better! You only need to show your viewers a few hands, if you're just teaching something new. 🙄🤔
If one machine isn’t rolling (then it doesn’t hurt) to move to a different machine that may, in fact, be rolling. As it happened, neither of these 2 machines were rolling (which were the only 2 machines in the room where I was playing)so I had no other option to move to another machine (without traipsing all the way across the casino) not to mention setting-up the tripod on another machine, which happens to be a little bit cumbersome; so I just decided to “stay put” and play it through: win, lose, or draw. I’ve mentored many players (in the short time that I’ve been on RUclips) and they send me photos of their Royals. Their cumulative Royal Flush hits now exceed over $1,000,000 in wins. I’ve only hit 40 Royals myself for a win total of close to $500,000. My personal goal is $1,000,000 in Royal Flush wins. I expect that to happen within the next 2 years. What are your goals?🌎

Barona has a bank of regular machines. But you have to look . Maybe not in high limit.
