I found Copshaholm by a happy accident (breaking a car trip to Chicago in South Bend). Magnificent!
I loved touring this house as a kid. I would come as often as my parents would take me.
Your parents were great to expose you to historic architecture, you were lucky, I love touring historic homes.
Our family went thru this mansion. Beautiful!

Wealthy people build homes much bigger than this today. It’s all about showing your wealth. When you have enough servants it’s not too much to manage.
