Nah, Lydia just does so much for the Trials, 200+ mill on Ultra is my best. If Rumantu's A3 works for the Viper I would consider. My Lydia is on a Toxic set.
You're nuts! Chimera seems to be made with Lydia in mind. She is able to control two forms of the Chimera with fear for the ram, and block active skills for the viper. She also makes it possible to complete some of the trials with those forms. Which is important since the clash chests only give jewels. And the Chimera chests rewards suck.
@MtgJedi I usually use only Lydia's A1 on ram form..I just try to survive trough that..idk why ram attacks on my Senna after he kill my Lydia who has lowest crit damage...Senna is second lowest and it might be that but ram attack Senna when Lydia is revived..and that happens only UNM chimera...I try to raise sennas crit damage more
@juhi7852 could it be a crit damage buff? I was running into that problem when my elva would out run mikage's crit damage buff before lydia so she would have less crit damage than her.
105M on NM with 12 Trials done every week using Siphi / Lydia / Arbais / Gnut / Teox Lydia is openning 4-6 Trials by herself so I couldn't recommend her more !
If you’re using Gnut in your team..you don’t really need anyone with Cruelty blessing…unless they have a 6* cruelty on them…but even then, swapping from a 6* Cruelty to 6* brimstone would do more damage overall.
Even a 6* cruelty can only reduces the boss's defense by up to 20%, whereas Gnut can reduce it by 30% (and the reduction can't stack to exceed this 30%). So using a champion with Cruelty in a team with Gnut is a big waste.
Loved watching this Mtg, great seeing the build process from start to finish to see what works. I am running a similar team to what you ended up with, but I dont have elva. Have Nekmo in relentless as speed lead, Mikage (9 piece protection), Pythion (9 piece protection), Lydia and Gnut. Hit 80m for NM. After watching I might try to sub in ninja for Lydia to get a second DPS.
You know what's funny is I heard the shuffling of cards and I was like "He plays MTG I bet" then you said you were. That's crazy! I loved that sequence of events haha.
Just to draw attention to something, Elva's passive heals each ally on their turn, Scyl's is on her turn. Loki does the same lockout job Lydia does for Viper, and his passive works amusingly well on the Ram as long as his crit damage is kept low - mine only has +38% from the free 5* blessing everyone could get, so it has been quite easy to make sure his is lowest. Also brings some turn meter fill, increase attack, a heal if you manual it, and extends debuffs.
That isn''t how Elva's passive works. The 10% heal occurs at the start of a party members turn, not hers. This doesn't make much of a difference unless you are running a significant disparity in speeds within the team or she is supporting champions with multi turn mechanics.
I was already running Nekmo in my team, also Mikage, Ninja and Pythion, but was using Lydia as well. Very intriguing, and for next week’s reset I am thinking I can either try just throwing Thor in there as an additional DPS and seeing if I survive and if not, was considering throwing Madame Serris in there as another support. I still need a Feral amulet for her to have a 9-piece, but can see what 8-piece Feral does for her.
@ I tried a bunch of stuff this morning and have to head into work now, but so far what I have discovered is that at least for me Block Active Skills is needed to survive the Viper form. I did a full gear cleanse and got rid of about 90% of my gear and am making it a point to obtain better gear this year, but right now as it stands I need either Lydia or another Block Active Skills champ for Chimera. Lydia is just probably one of the best because of affinity and because she’s farmable over time so since I have her sticking with that makes sense right now. I know there are others, and will experiment more later on though. Another note, when I just ran Brutal my team of Mikage, Pythion, Ninja, Nekmo, and Lydia died and did not make it until the end. Those other forms being magic affinity are really messing up my Nekmo since he’s negative affinity, and since the ultimate form is force affinity my Ninja not doing as much damage as previous rotation so looks like I will need to have different teams, even if just slightly, for each a few rotations anyway…
Thanks for the video and I agree with you: I have swapped in ramantu for Lydia (but mainly because the trial rewards are awful, if they were good I think I would put her back in). My team is similar but more max hp hitters: Elva 9p protection Gnut 6* crushing rend, 6p merciless (ideally I would add a 2p instinct) Ramantu: reflex+instinct (ideally reflex+merciless but no good merciless liz accs) Emic: reflex+merciless Marius: 9p slayer I can auto 1key UNM and NM with 4-6 trials done One thing that really underrated and it is super sweet is emic shield!
Lydia is a beast. lydia bring 2 buffs and 5 debuffs and is a free champ. strenghthen and weaken decrease the dmg you take and increase your dmg so for most people she is extremly valuable. ramantus fear and block active skills wont proc on chimera but lydias will 😘

I turn off the A2 for ram form for Gnut. He counter attacks and he brings weaken. The more you lower the defense, the more damage you do, and take at the same time. And Gnut counter attacking is just asking to die.
I use Androc rather than Lydia with my Senna. Androc adds 1-2 cont heal and add buff turn count to assist with Senna's tm boost. He also casts dec defense, weaken, and dec resistence for the trials. My record is 343m in UNM with Senna, Mikage, Androc, Toshiro, and Firrol. Kick-as$ team! Mikage increases buff turns, allowing Androc to transform back and forth to buff and debuff
My only problem with ninja is just keeping him alive same with Varl. They’re just to easy to get rocked. Which is why I love Odin and gnut they just naturally are hard to kill and can do major work. Also love Odin for chimera when the reflection head comes out almost every other turn gnut has block damage up so he can just sling the a3. I also built out Glaciate in 9 piece protection which is great but doesn’t work with no healing gear he can’t sustain and dies. Duchess is still who I use because she’s just so busted good. That little shield does so much work on the a1 even keeps that annoying lion (ram)insta kill 8 hitter attack from working. Just some of my thoughts.
I would not be getting 65m on hard if it wasnt for lydia and I use lydia,he-man,gnut,pythion and elva.The reason I use 2 revivers is because one always gets targeted and same goes for helicath and mithrala ca0use if I use them my whole team gets wiped so that team I use works every time without fail on hard

Altough idk if any other blessing would be better id assume he wont just use it in Chimera and just staying poly would be best to not use 300 diamonds everytime to do chimera and then switch back xD or use Intimidating Presence.

Elva (9 piece protection) and Mikage (Relentless) around 300 speed, would like them to be higher, Ramantu (for now just 6 pieces Feral) at 260 speed, Androc (9 piece protection) 280 speed, Harima 7,2k def, 310% cdmg, 140mil on UNM. Also almost all team aside Mikage are 100% crit or close to take advantage of Androc's passive.
It seems that no matter what changes I make on my team, the final result is always the same, same damage, same trials completed. For my last key I will try Mikage, Ninja, Varl, Gwendolyn and Elva or Duchess. I already tried Geo, Lydia, wixwell,riho same result with 3 different teams

Chimera is wild. I replaced Gnut with Lydia without realizing it and did more damage than with Gnut. Nothing else in the team changed. My Acrizia just ended up benefiting from the defense down so much.

Lydia is not a trap and if you have her, put HER on your team if you can, even better if you have her on 9 piece protection set, also you're not even considering her strengthen buff which helps a lot in terms of survivability, unless you have another team that can fulfill her roles overall, but Lydia is a very safe champ for Chimera
Consistenly she is great in my Chimera team, more damage for my damage dealers, speed, block debuffs, fear, I have a nice build she will survive always. So I not agree;)

lydia helps get 2 trials done on ram, 1 trial on viper and blocks the ultimates increase speed on its a2 to allow a consistant 2:1
I think Lydia is not just needed but is an MvP here for completing trials, which are arguably more important than total damage.

How many trials did that team do on NM? Bc we found that doing 1key with most trials possible is worth more than max damage.

I really think you should use Python instead of Elva and then use nekmo as your speed lead. The team revive is better imo.

@ acrizia has more total hits but lower multipliers. How much is your gnut doing per a3? Mine does 700-750k x3

i struggled to hit brutal 1 key with lydia on auto so i swapped her out for ruella in relentless (fk build) and i instantly dropped 50m on auto
