When the brake pedal is released, the Hill Start Assist feature maintains pressure in the braking system temporarily, preventing unintentional rolling back of the car. As you press the accelerator, the brakes will be released. Hill Descent Control can be used when navigating steep inclines, particularly in rough terrain, it slows down your car when your driving through steep slope.
