DUDE YES i did this one yesterday on Extreme and we kept failing cuz they were grabbing all the orbs then bitching when we died cuz we couldn't get 3. Pretty sure no one else needs em till phase 2 also.
My first fight im clueless what to do. 2nd we did better but still dead. 3rd back to square one. I just knew tanks need to eat 3 orbs. But before i knew it, the orbs are all gone thus early death. Oh and i got possessed and walked automatically to my death
That's what I happened when I attempted this. Nobody had a clear understanding about the orb and chaos mechanics and we kept wiping repeatedly. This fight is brutal if you don't know what you're doing. Eventually half the party left and we had no choice but to disband. Was told to try this unsynced at max level so I'll be doing just that once I hit level 90. The rewards for the quest aren't anything too special anyway so I can wait.
I so second this xDD I just started playing and it is time to do the quest for the extremes (and I want the lovely mounts) and OMG... I've never felt so dumb before a fight xD I mean the guide is great, but I don't think I'll do things right 😅😂
Cleared Ramuh EX last night thanks to your video. Been working at it two weeks, knew the fight after the first 1.5 weeks... Finally got that party that just had their stuff together and we owned it. Can't wait until your Shiva EX guide. :)
Yeah, I just traveled from 30 to 70 by watching her guides (late 2019). I watch the other guys also, just to hear both sides of the coin, but hers are the definitive "must watch before" ones.
These guides are the BEST. No jumping around, no confusing order, no irrelevant video in-between, and carefully-edited scripting to avoid all that excess crap we don't care about. Very well done, I've already taken down two extremes to these.
Protip. Chaotic Strike will always choose one random person and whoever is farthest from Ramuh before it starts casting. Can have someone bait it by waiting in the water before he starts casting then moving in to stack for Thunderstorm
Another thing to note, one victim of Chaotic strike will always be the player furthest from Ramuh. Some have taken to the strategy of having one ranged DPS serve as 'bait' for this Chaotic strike by standing on the outer edge of the platform and running in only for chaotic strikes and thunderstorms. Since one of the chaotic strike victims is constant, it helps reduce the RNG of this fight just a touch.
Thanks! Your comment helped me and my fc, make this fight better. We love fighting Ramuh Ex, to improve our coordinated gameplays in different jobs, but we didn’t know this detail about the markers. Ty
this was extremely helpful thank you. last time I discovered this trial one of our tanks dipped and we tried to do it with one, that didn't end well as you could imagine.
I see these videos as TL;DR versions of other videos and love them! Straight to the point, explains what need to be done. Look no further than MTQcapture!
I’ve tried this several times after watching the video, and each time there is a mentor who just goes “you guys don’t know the fight?” And dips after 3 or 4 wipes.
What this guide seems to fail to mention, is that shockstrike is actually an aoe - apparently only the tank with the buff is supposed to stand in front with the rest staying behind, and how to break out of chaotic strike - saying that it works just like ballistic missile means nothing to the many who can't beat twintania.
Decided to give this a go today via DF, we wiped about 12 or so times and abandoned. To make it worse, we got him down to 1% one wipe, and after that it wasn't close. Good luck with this one.
After waiting unsuccessfully 30 + minutes with DF several times I finally got in. We wiped so many times we ran out of time. I tried again and the cowards voted to abandon after the third wipe. I haven’t tried again yet lol
@@Tom-fy2lc I was just about to do this for wondrous tails but is it really this much of a burden to get done? Ugh, sounds like I’ll be using some second chance points

Just mentioning two things that can be beneficial to this guide. Because of how the second and third phase transition functions, it may be beneficial for a tank to get a single overcharge stack to keep orb order under control. The importance of this being that when phase 3 transition occurs, tether and terror will always be the first thunderstorm within the phase. Secondly with tether, priority for getting orbs should be tank with first thunderstorm if applicable, healers, then dps usually prioritizing lowest number to highest number as healers of course should be the two lowest. Reason for doing this is if healers get tether and gain power surge, they will then be immune to tether for the duration of the power surge buff.
I remember the one time I applied to a PF to practice this fight. Nearly every try, we got to the first wave of adds, then wiped until we ran out of time. I still feel like all the mechanics beforehand are ingrained in my memory...

Really ain't easy to just watch any one video once and know the fight. Not until you go do it, then the videos make moar sense. I dig the visuals on Mizz's too. Happy does kinda have a habit of using MS Paint for battle schematics.
I hate this boss, try doing with a full party from duty finder, half of the people will constantly not know how to deal with him, even after you explain it to them they still can't do it. Only primal i've failed so many times.

Saaaaaad, had some tank saying they could solo tank Ramuh… And one of the DPS was saying tanks dying had nothing to do with the mechanics but me the healer not healing them :/
I’m a new 2022 player, and I beat this last night. Today I would add use Party Finder to find vets who know how and want to help you clear it. We still struggled a couple of times, but they were able to adapt fast. I played tank, and I was in voice chat with my friend who also tanked for me. We talked and yelled at each other the whole time. Then we ran it unsyncd a couple of times so I could get drops. I went from frustrated to really enjoying this game with teammates.
Could someone please explain the process of breaking someone out? Just suggesting a priority list for who is responsible and not saying how to do it leaves me wanting.....
Just yolo'd straight in here and had no idea wtf was going on. The water didn't even look like water at first. The chaos/seduction thing always seems to come out after those aoe lightning strikes so anytime I'm ever chao'd its a guaranteed death.
I'm still fuzzy on how you break chaotic strike ? What spell ? What class ? Usually as DPS I generally can't cure anyone, unless its to break someone out of gelatin or rock or what not through attacks while waiting to die and hope the person with the solution or cure does their job. Or is it just random that one marked with Chaotic strike needs to be hit by Thunderstorm to be 'unseduced' ?
i'm not sure why we can't eat 3 orbs as dps? all guides ive read say that 3 gives immunity to lightening for everyone. as long as the tanks have enough why can't we eat the rest - max 3 each?
Werewolf211 ah cheers :D I tried this over the weekend and was really disappointed with my party. I was the only new one and felt like I was the only dps who actually had some sense of position and no one took note of the priority list either, I was #4 and did most of the zapping..
Daniel Lomas I know exactly what you mean. I haven't actually beaten this boss yet because of stupid groups, and my girlfriend and the people she plays with usually doesn't have time to do it with me. Another way you can do it is by having A, B, C, usually with A in the regular spot, and B and C on each side of Ramuh. You then number 1 to 5 as usual, but you every odd number kind of static on one letter, unless they have to do something. This way, you have 2 and 4, plus one with another marker free to move around, and you can easily call out if you need help freeing people. Since one person, usually a black mage can stand at A at pretty much all times, he/she can free unless targeted or not having thunderstorm, but that simply means that person has to call out the need for a thunderstorm, unless the group is good and actually pay attention. It's also much easier with the positioning, and people have a place to go back to, without worrying too much. As for the numbering, if you only have one melee, try to make that person the one without the regular numbers. It's easier to keep track of most of the time. I hope this helps. Just make sure all of the people in your party are on the same page and you'll certainly get further in the fight at least. Oh, and try to focus down one add at a time, if you for example have two melee and two ranged and don't want to focus down one at a time, get the ranged to attack the one in front of the boss while melee take the one behind it, and keep going that way. You want to get rid of them as fast as possible to reduce the amount of attacks people can potentially get hit by, making it easier for the healers to keep up, and making the odds of getting one-shot smaller. Getting one-shot or at least bursted down really shouldn't happen if people keep track of the orbs on the ground though.
Daniel Lomas Sorry for writing such a long text. I just wanted to be as informative as possible. I've gotten to the last phase before, but people probably missed the fact that they die really quickly if they keep using spells and skills when tethered.
