Worked with 50's at the Get Rich or Die Trying movie. He was super humble and quiet. Very generous with background performers, crew members and other actors. He treated everyone with respect. Seemed almost introverted. You could tell he was someone thoughtful.
During that movie a lot of people got paid well. They were making sure the little people were getting roles in the movie to get extra acting credits and get more money. You rarely see that in the industry.
Felt the need to share that when i saw this video about his son.

    • @fd8934
      @fd8934 4 месяца назад +162

Stop being ridiculous, he's laid the situation out clearly. He wants his son to spend time with him for the sake of spending time with him, learning, listening, understanding what made his father so successful etc etc. That's a man that wants to connect with his son, and at the end of the day, if the son doesn't cede control to the father, there will always be conflict, because what sort of father places himself below his sons authority?
A weak one, which will lead to a weak son, which will eventually lead to his line's extinction. It's just natural that the father is the authority in a father son relationship. His son is too materialistic in 50s opinion and seems to focus more on his father's resources than on him as a person to learn and grow from. Money is fleeting, 50 knows that all to well. Strength is what matters.
50 is just upset that his son is so easily led, that's it. If you're going to be an easily led man, at least let your father lead you if he has demonstrated that he cares about your safety and future happiness.

50 is correct and me being a Mom and Grandmom, I never put myself in my Sons or his ex wife children matters! What I will tell both of them is keep that negativity away from the children! Certain issues SHOULD NOT be a issue with the kids or young adults, I bet the Mom knew the Graduation date if anything she could’ve told her Son call your Dad and let him know the Graduation date! It seems like a get back situation, and it’s very petty on the Moms part! He’s 100percent correct if He wanted him there they would’ve gave 50 the date! If this is the game she want to play, when he ask his Mom to buy him a car I hope she dos’nt say call your Father! If his Son is being taught to call your Dad when you WANT or need something is the wrong lesson, if there’s a problem with communication 50 should speak with his son ONE ON ONE, this teen is old enough to know his responsibility’s also. Mom seems like a wounded ex, she KNOWS how 50 feels about his Son! Mom please stop putting hurtful hateful things in this youths head, 50 handle your business and do not buy love!!!

My grandparents are my parents. I know both of my parents and there not far away. But they left me with my grandparents when I was 5 or 6. I was not a bad kid they just didn’t want the responsibility of children me or my little sister. My mom moved far away for quite awhile but my dad didn’t he just never really came by and when he did it was with a new woman to try and show he does go see his kids and they all knew he was full of it. I got my ex pregnant at 17 had a child at 18 but I was working electrical under the table at 17. He was a framer then a building inspector for the county when he got a little older eventually. He made fun of my job said electrical is for sissy’s and such just crap like that. Anything I tried to do to make him proud I never got any recognition from him just made fun of. I knew one day I would never make him proud of me he would never really care then one day I got sick. Very sick I had multiple unrelated cancers simultaneously. I went thru a few types of chemo they call BEP for the maximum and had a few surgeries almost died and he came to see me a couple times when I was really sick. He couldn’t take sitting in that chair for more than an hour at a time and his wife spent more time with me than him. I thought I had at least a mom but she recently changed a lot became another person and dissapeared from my life also. I’ve saved my grandparents lives multiple times both of them because I was here due to there health and I couldn’t leave them alone I felt. I moved back in with them to care for them and I do all there medical stuff handle there meds and all. My grandma has had strokes in her brain from blood clots and I had to change her diapers and get her walking again while my grandpa has had a heart attack and then bladder cancer and now has no bladder just a stoma coming out of him with bags I have to change. Also have to watch there meds and help him with his insulin doses. Also they have both had deadly infections leading to sepsis and I’ve found them both almost dead from that. I had to give them daily infusions thru a picc line each for awhile. I can’t even work now because of all that’s happened to me my state of health my renal system and all I never feel good but I’m here to help them always all day all night. I mostly need to be up at night in case something happens and during the day they kind of watch each other and wake me if needed. It’s really hard and I hate I can’t help them financially anymore even tho they need it with all the costs for the three of us. He’s not my blood grandfather but he’s more than that to me. He’s my Dad my Grandad and my best friend always. She’s my mom and my grandmother always. But none of there kids are ever here or offer much help sometimes and can get his daughter to drive him to an appointment or something but besides that nobody wants to help. It’s a really hard position to be in and I am stretched so thin always. I don’t know how nurses do there jobs and don’t lose it to be honest it’s not my kind of job but I do it. I just know one day it’s probably going to be me that finds one of them or watches one of them pass. My grandpa almost died just weeks ago and I still can’t get the images out of my mind the condition I found him in and how he was acting and what he was doing was all very scary and upsetting I thought it was my last time to ever see him again. I don’t know if I’ll ever be ready for it really but we don’t know who’s going first of the three of us really. Going to find out soon if he still has cancer or not. He couldn’t have chemo his renal system was too bad from diabetes and he had experimental treatment then everything removed after but got a nasty infection. I pray for your grandchildren I hope they can be okay even tho there parents are not active in there lives.

I didn't allow my feelings for my child's father to hinder their relationship. I always kept him informed on everything. My son graduated a year early. He invited his father to his graduation and his party. Not wanting anything from him and he didn't even show up. His paternal grandmother and aunt came. But it's funny that people don't always realize that some men treat their children based on how they feel about their mothers. Be mindful who you have children with is the moral of the story.

My Husband went to his daughters Grade school and High School Graduations only to be spotted by her mother and ripped to shreds in front of everyone there with her screaming how he ruined her day by just being there in the back out of their way, he wanted to see her walk and recieve her diplomas (her Mother never graduated from either, lived vicariously through their daughter and held a death grip onto their daughter) when her mother seen him she grabbed onto their daughter and drug her to her father making a scene and started shoving his daughters face into her fathers chest yelling look what he is doing to you!
Security was called he was removed she refused to let him leave his card for her and demanded he just *give THE MOTHER the money that had BETTER BE IN IT!* He paid 1500 A month every month for 11 years never late gave extra for clothing trips birthdays holidays. That Man tried to do what ever he could. Calling her often to be told she doesn't want to talk to you! Your not my DAD now Mom said new hubby was daddy now.
So don't go on saying MEN do not try, or try hard enough. The Majority of men are there in the back hiding trying to not be seen so not to make a scene. Sure there are bad apples on both sides.
When she got pregnant at 15 her mother wrote and notarized a letter to her 19 yr old boyfriend, that she and her new hubby would not put charges on him, knowing they were responsible adults.
Then turned around and told her father it was his fault she got pregnant for his not being there for her.
Abuse of their Daughter and his and her relationship demand for money if he wanted to see her it was (get this 20$ a minute) but mom had to be right there interjecting yelling over the conversation making them both miserable.
The Mother even took Ex Hubby now Grandpa to court for extra child support for the new grand baby.
Just stop the whole every man is a POS some women have NO self control are selfish nasty creatures when it comes to cake and eating it too.
Their daughter turned out to treat her Babies dad the very same way as her mother treated her father with litterly not one care in the world about how the children felt about their dad.
They were open and clear they wanted to see him spend time with him know his side of their family they were denied. (Unless mother was invited on his weekends holidays family gatherings outings)
Just stop and get some help.

I feel 50 on this. I think he really cares about his son. He said that's his baby. The problem is between him and the mother. My father and I didn't have a relationship because he didn't want one with me. I sought him out and gave him cards on his birthday and Father's Day. But he didn't do the same or even acknowledge my birthday. My mother NEVER tried to divide us or say anything for me to hate him. She let me see him for myself. I invited him to my graduation. We live in the same small city. He didn't come. He said he had to work. My first cousin, his brother's son, graduated the same year as me but a month later. My cousin lives 800 miles from us. My father went to his graduation. Drove 800 miles to be there. That hurt me terribly. I was 17 years old then, graduating high school. Imagine the hurt I felt at that very young age, trying to figure things out. Trying to figure life out. And then hit with the reality that my dad didn't love me, didn't care enough for me to tell his job he was not going to be at work because his son was graduating high school. I remember the song by OutKast, Ms. Jackson, when Andre 3000 said, "I'll be present on the the first day of school and graduation." That line made me cry. I think I was about 24 or 25 then hearing that and still cried. I'm 47 now and it still hurts. But you better believe I was there the first day of school for my two sons and I will be there on the last day of school, when they graduate high school and college.

Sorry you had to go through that. My dad was barely there for me as I was growing up. My mom and dad broke up when I was six, and then he would pick us up every other weekend for about a year and a half, then he just started going ghost for months at a time, up to a year. Later found out he was getting in trouble and having long jail stints. Ended up going to prison for seven years and was not present for my high school graduation bc he was in prison. He wrote me a letter or two when he first went to prison when I was 13. I visited him in prison a couple times around that time too. After that, silence. Never wrote me again. Got paroled a few times but kept going back. Wrote me on jpay when I was 19 and in college but that didn’t last long either. He got out of prison when I was 20 and still just wasn’t around. I met up with him at 22 right before my college graduation and told him how I felt about him not being around for me as I was growing up. Had to clear the air before inviting him to my college graduation. I got an apology that I basically had to force out of him but I accepted it. He came to my graduation and it was great. Me, him, my mom, and brothers went out to dinner afterwards. It was an amazing day. Sadly, I’m 30 now and he still doesn’t try to have a relationship with me. He has a gf with a 10 year old son. He lives with them, takes care of the boy, and has no contact with his kids. Its sad but I’ve learned to deal with it. For 50 and his son, I don’t know their situation but I really hope they can reconcile. As for me, idk if its ever gonna happen. Unfortunately, I think you and I are on the same page there. Praying for you my guy. Hope you can heal in some way.

@@NiqueTheSneak1 thank you! I appreciate your reply and sympathize with what you had to deal with. I think these circumstances made us better men. It made me want to be nothing like my dad. Unfortunately, this neglectful cycle continues from one generation to the next over and over. I decided that the buck was gonna stop with me in my family. My sons no nothing of neglect. Absolutely nothing! The kind of dad I had, I often think it was probably better he were not around. What kind of negative influence would his presence have caused in my life? For his character didn't and still does not line up with the character I have now. He's selfish and often belittles and curses out my half brother. My brother's life is in shambles. Could that have been me? My mother couldn't teach me how to be a man. I watched men in my neighborhood and church that were hardworking and family men and that's what I held on too. I think my dad unwittingly did me a favor by not being there or maybe, just maybe, not a guarantee, I would have taken on some of his selfish and uncaring ways. And like you, I pray 50 and his son can reconcile. They both need that.

@@terrancerobinson20 No problem at all, and thanks for your response. I’m glad to hear that you stopped the cycle. I don’t have kids but my siblings do and they are there for their kids 100% and I will definitely be the same way. I feel the same about my dad, it probably was best that I wasn’t around him. I wouldn’t say he is a bad person but there are a lot of “qualities” about him that I want no part of. My mom met another man not long after her and my dad split and he was amazing, but they broke up when I was 12 and I didn’t see him after that, so I pretty much grew up without a father figure. Good thing is that my mom is such a strong woman that I was able to transfer her stand up woman qualities and translate it into me being a stand up man so I’m forever grateful for her. Like you said, our experiences definitely made us better men, but I wish I had more of a male presence in my earlier years, but its also not something I choose to dwell on. I did good for myself without it. 😊

If his father decided not to see him I let his father explain his reasons but atleast I held up my end for my son. I even sent graduation tickets and he never showed. Now that he’s an adult his father wants to be in his life but our son remembers all the rejection. Remember you can’t have it both ways. No matter how many times I tell my son he may regret this choice to cut out his father completely he says his father made that choice many years ago. We mothers need to remember not to influence the decision process and trust our kids to make the right decision for themselves.

I was constantly in and out of court, being accused of abuse/ neglect, and my son turned into somebody I didn't even know anymore. So angry and so disrespectful. Making the decision to take my hands off the situation was literally the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life. And I remember saying to myself, this is why some dads have to walk away. Everything he was saying to me was word for word stuff I'd heard from his dad. Even crazier, after I lost my very good paying job due to all the missing days and stress for 3 tears-- his dad met a woman that had children, and my son got dropped back off like nothing ever happened. His dad doesn't even visit. For as bad as the situation hurt me, it really hurt my son the most. People putting all this bitterness into their kids is crazy, but it's very real. You can say you have to be proactive and keep pursuing it, but it did nothing but make my situation worse. It was a such helpess feeling because it really was out of my hands. I feel terrible for everybody that's going through it. Sometimes the kids get older and figure it out, but sometimes they don't. I'll never figure out how someone could ever manipulate their child like that.

I went through the same madness and I feel the same way. When a child gets a certain age, you can't blame the mother anymore just because she and I don't get along there is no reason for her to drive a wedge between my child and me. I allow that to be a problem until a certain age and now you have to think for yourself and if you choose to eliminate me from your life it will hurt but the child is the one that is truly missing out

The phrase is very similar to “I don’t mean to be rude or not to cut you off” then the person immediately follows up with a rude statement or cuts you off in conversation. A man works in logic and reason and Ego is a part of that reason. Pride is also very operative for men and necessary in survival of nature vs nurture. Even the very way we as men determine and decipher if you love us is immensely different. Women determine love on how a man makes them feel or treated. Men determine love based on respect and the type of respect you show us. Both based on feelings but they Segway differently via perception and interpretation. This is why as men, we get it and understand you can only do so much and you can’t force your life into your kids life, you can try but women have a higher influence over children than men.

No longer a child? Because he's 18? That's still a teenager. They still have no idea how to make good decisions. Just because they are considered a legal adult doesn't make them grown. Dad should still be leading the way. Not the child. And if dad wasn't in the picture then he has a lot more work to do.

It will be hard for a mother to manipulate a son against the father IF the father makes the EFFORT, no matter how hard it is, to be in the son's life from a young age. If a father truly loves his son and the son is graduating, he would make the effort to find out and turn up there. True love doesn't hold grudges. 50, let the relationship get this bad.

@@BravoShow are you referring to the child? If you are, then you are slightly wrong, as a father I make it MY RESPONSIBILITY to engage my child, I don't leave it solely to the mum. If you engage with your child POSITIVELY and constantly from young, it would be hard for even a mum to break that. Example I've not been able to pick my kid up a few time, but I've called b4 hand to let em know I can't and provided options. Kid gets home, mum goes "dad didn't pick you, he doesn't care about u, he does this every time". Kid goes "that's not true" and starts defending me. Mum tells me at some point "I don't know what u tell or give this kid that's always defending you". I say it's love and being involved.
Imagine if I didn't call or wasn't involved and engaging my kid, it would be easier for the mum to manipulate my child.
Do we know if 50 was close to the kid from young or he was busy travelling, ignoring him and his mum? Who knows, but I know if you bond with your kid, generally they'll bond with u.
