- To get these items first you need to have the dark horizon dlc. You will need to obtain the crop sample quest item, for my run I got it from the Astropath's Respite dungeon and I think it can also get it from Detritus Foundry. Once you get it return back to Ward 13 and talk to Duane, he will ask you for an ingredient and then hand him over the crop sample. He will tell you to wait for a few minutes and talk to him again and he will give you the Numbing Agent. Talk to him again after a 1-2 minutes you will know when he is sitting down on his chair, talk to him and he will thank you for helping him on getting the stuff he ask and reward you with the Chef Amulet.

I got the numbing agent before giving him the crop sample, maybe I got it from boss rush..
Same problem. Had no issue with any other concoction but Duane just doesn't want to cook this time. Keeps telling me it's too thick still
im assuming its a bug if you somehow get the Numbing Agent before giving him the Crop Sample. i got one from a chest for example. thankfully i managed to fix it by selling the only Numbing Agent in my inventory to Cass and then quitting out to the menu before logging back in again. after that i was able to speak to Duane again and give him the Crop Sample.

jeez this is now the 4th use I've found for the crop sample, it's gonna be a pain for farm
also Mudtooth is already selling me this concoction even tho I haven't done this but I can't get him to sell me the new snake oil
@@Chestermayfire you probably unlocked when you played with someone that already have it but I'm not sure.
You will be needing it a lot haha, I think you need it 4 times but make sure to turn it in right away since it goes away if you reroll your world.
@@Potatolorian oh I know lol I've used it for the mutator and the corruption growing in the Ward so far, there's so much stuff to get it's getting hard to keep track lol

Great question! I have not tested this one, but I think it depends on which world you rolled first or item you've gotten first and the dialog with Duane may vary with that.

There’s a setting you can use yourself.. you can actually adjust the playback speed… people will complain about anything. How about you thank the guy for taking the time to show you something you didn’t know and stop being so ungrateful.
