@@walrusaudioeffectsCan you be more specific about what will port over and what won't? Or point me in the direction of a place that has that information? Thanks!
When I push the bypass button for hold, which means changeded to control the lofi.. And then I turn the rate button, seems it changes the mix of the dry and wet. I cant find exact logic of this feature at manuals you provide. Can you tell me what is the logic and what does it do exaxtly? I use mk1.
Recently I had the chance to play a lot with 3 of your Mako series pedals: delay, reverb and modulation. Well... they are packed with a lot of features but they all lack depth and harmonic content. I own more than 100 pedals and I had the chance to A/B'd your pedals with the analog counterpart of diffent pedal maker. In every scenario your pedal give the impression of lacking depth. They sound digital in a very unpleasant way. There were other guitar nerds with me and we all had the same feeling. You should work harder to improve the overall quality of your sound. The general features are ok but those pedals lack the "Wow" factor. They are expensive but average sounding. I have absolutely nothing against you and your company but what we have experienced is a bunch of pedals with a great potential but with a poor sound in terms of richness.
yea it does have a sort of thinness to it, but try turning up the volume with bypass+depth,... i also coulda sworn i saw the mix is bypass+rate but i don't see it in the manual. I think this does need to be addressed (although they probably know about it and could be the limitations of the technology)
Well given that these are the new versions of the ones you played perhaps you should give them a shot first, because you can’t make a decision based off a compressed RUclips video that’s for sure
@@tompoynton Thank you for the message. Let me say that even if YT videos are compressed the nature of a sound is pretty evident. I recognize in those new pedals the same "root" sound that is present in the older versions. They sounds thin with a lack of richness. I'm not saying that they sound bad but they feel digital and not organic. Maybe it's something that the Walrus wanted to achieve or maybe not. I don't know. But the way that they sound is pretty obvious. It's not a matter of perception it's really objective. Maybe it's Walrus signature sound. I simply don't like it.
Shoutout to the design nerd who decided the underline graphic for each effect title in the video should match the device screen! Cool touch. :)
Thanks for noticing. 🙂
The song selection Walrus does for its demos is unparalleled.
Thanks! Chavez always comes with some good ideas in his pocket!
Absolutely. Everybody Wants to Rule the World. The Tourist. Never thought I'd hear Cherry Colored Funk in a demo.
Nice to hear some Cocteau Twins in a guitar video 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Whats the song on flanger part, can come up with the artist🫣🫣🫣
is the firmware update for the mk1 already available?
soon!
@@walrusaudioeffectsSo you are saying one can update their mk1 pedal to the algorithms on the mk2?
@@jojojiles Yes, there are some features that we were able to port over from the MKII to the MKI.

I had the mk1 which I loved specially for Lo fi tones (and the reverb was also amazing).
Any difference in terms of sound?
Yes, many of the programs have been upgraded/retuned to sound better!

0:33 Cherry-Coloured Funk? Can my attention be grabbed any more quickly?
Nothing against y'all.... but I wanna hear these played by my "go to" channels/players.
More demos are coming. 🙂

@@sonicase Thank you for the kind reply. Really appreciate it. 👍
I have never preferred a digital modulation over an analog counterpart. I’m not anti digital, I just kind of agree broadly.
