Back in the day the Main Event was as much about the stories of people like Kent Senter as it was the cards, I hope the time comes when PokerGo or a network brings it back.
u also gotta remember they had months to film & edit a story together, today it's stream live, no November 9 stuff. WSOP was way better back then but in the age of information today I doubt they ever repeat this.
Never paid attention before but around 47:26 when Hachem gets the river heart for the flush he does the thing and quickly looks at his chips. Like the most common and well known tell of them all.
The guy not shaking Phils hand is hilarious. I love how guys like that will accept unending praise from strangers but a single stranger not liking them results in “do you really know me?”
Thanks Pokergo for uploading all the old Wsop episodes. These are our christmas presents. Keep uploading all the wsop editions please 🥰
I miss this kind of WSOP coverage so much
24:42 this is why i love Hellmuth...every single video and literally every single hand hes so invested in his quest to be the best of all time

Right on. That Kent story was quite touching.

reminds of the ufc of back then. now we got ai generated people
Idk, I could do without the stories, I just fast forward through all that stuff anyway. What I DO miss is the better produced Lon and Norm commentary.
I think it's the worst part of the coverage. There are too many fluff pieces that no one cares about.
Kent Senter is an absolute legend
Those folds by Lisandro were absolutely insane
39:31 Norman Chad is a legend

49:31 great shove there phil x
@33:00...Hardie..... Why did you not go all-in pre-flop or on the flop? Another Poker Player who played like a ROOKIE!!!!
9:19 he sincerely asked
I miss that era, I haven’t watched a main event in the past few years. The players are so boring and take years to make a decision
This has been awesome. Thank you pg
BOOOMMM!! cant wait to watch this
one day ill go to the kumite and make my father proud
The guy not shaking Phils hand is hilarious. I love how guys like that will accept unending praise from strangers but a single stranger not liking them results in “do you really know me?”
you keep it rocking ill keep on watching
Love the ESPN coverage, though the large stacks of lower denominations chips tilt me…just color them up already!! 😂
@1:09:40...Lisandro flopped top pair Tens... He should have went all in on the Flop after Valkenberg checked... or checked with Valkenburg.
Phil trash talking and name calling as usual, and wondered why a couple hours prior the guy refused to shake his hand… lol
on day 3 we still have not seen one hand involving the winner
Why don't Americans understand that 'Aussie 'is pronounced with a 'z' sound? They hear the chant a million times 😅
Oi oi oi
If chess is a sport poker is a sport
hope Patty watches this with a smile
Oh man imagine dirtballing the first pitch id be mortified
Hollywood slowroll. He's never folding that straight.
He's folded much bigger hands.
holy i cringed alot about those amateur poker players and folding such monster hands
Lol guy ripping on helmuth ..Mr no one knows
ozie ozie ozie
You should be ashamed of yourself Elky.
Why?
Phil poker brat brags when he wins but is 😢 crybaby when he loses 😢.
did anyone else feel bad when the cancer guy got out and someone said "hey theres always next year" to him?
He said it himself
he is still alive today
It keeps baffling me how of a crybaby Joe Hachem is. You won 7,5 million...you have NOT the right to cry at a poker table EVER again.
Bilzerian so clapped
