Starting from her damn birth “Her other kids had been taken so she didn’t go to the hospital”, selfish. Wow - poor thing. She has to endure that scene in her head for life.
      Thats tough.
      Some advice -
Make sure you're always available to your sister - even if she's not the type to talk about her feelings, emotions, etc.
We all need to do better with this. Everyone needs someone to just ask "How are you doin'," or "How's everything," to us once in a while - and really mean it.
To lend a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen.
Sorry for the novella, but :
I recently read a statistics paper in a science journal on people as of late, and the percentage of them (all ages) with loneliness/depression was very high. I don't know if it has to do with covid/pandemic and being on lockdown, alone, sheltered at home more, etc.
(This was of ppl that weren't considered depressed before)
Some ppl in the comments mentioned that cellphones/electronics, and social media makes us more anti-social now, more than before.
Either way, we need to just be more aware, more compassionate towards each other.
      😊

I'm so sorry. I'm in Westfield, MA and I'm blown away by some of these MAgovernment-dropping-the-ball over the last few years. Baby Bella, Harmony Montgomery (that was the bio mom, bio father, stepmom, MA DCF and NH DCF. Even though I believe her death falls on her father, it took the bio mom 2 years to ask the proper authorities where her little girl was??? She was in FL, not space. She was also SOBER for those two years and had another baby) and even the 22 year old kid that killed all those VA Marines in NH. MA just "forgot" to file his RMV paperwork faster when both his CDL and class D licences had been revoked.
Sorry I needed to vent. Out cost of living and taxes in this state are outrageous yet the overpayed politicians and state agencies can't do the bare minimum of their job descriptions.

The Aaliyah Lunsford case was such a tragedy. Her mother deserves to rot in prison for the rest of her life. And she did receive life without parole, thank God! Aaliyah’a older siblings had been living with the terrible secret that their mother not only severely abused Aaliyah on a regular basis, but they witnessed their mother murdering Aaliyah. They were threatened by their mother with the same fate, if they told anyone. The oldest daughter finally got the courage to tell her adoptive parents that Aaliyah was dead, and that their mother was the killer. She had been harboring that secret for years, and she said that God spoke to her, telling her to do the right thing, and get justice for her baby sister. I can’t even imagine being in those siblings’ shoes. Thank goodness they were all adopted by a loving couple, and they were not split up. The couple even had clothes and a bed all ready for Aaliyah, if she was ever found alive, and they wanted to adopt her as well. I pray those children are doing well in their adoptive family, and are healing from their traumatic childhood.

@@Tsumami__ Yes! I never saw a photo of Aaliyah where she was happy, or smiling. The mother made her sleep on the cold floor with not clothes on. Aaliyah was the one child she picked out to serve her wrath upon. In child abuse cases, the parent(s) always single out one child, if they have multiple children. For some reason, they only abuse one child. The other children have to sit back and watch, and they’re usually afraid to say anything, because they’re afraid the same will happen to them. Lena Lunsford is right where she belongs, and if there were any REAL justice, every day of her sentence, she should be terrorized by the other inmates. I’m sure they have done that, since it was a very publicized case, they know what she did to poor Aaliyah!

How did Rachelle get to keep Bella after she gave birth to her? Children and Family services took her other two children, because of her addiction, and she was still doing drugs occasionally when she was pregnant with Bella. I’m sure she tested positive for drugs when she had gave birth to Bella. Why was she not taken like the other two children? If they had taken her at birth, she might still be alive. Again, a department that was created to protect children didn’t do that. This happens much too often, a lot of children slip through the cracks. So sad, and infuriating.

Then, due to drug addiction, they left her in longer than usual and when they did finally discover her dead, just left her there until there was an opportunity to dispose of her. I was an IV drug addict for 17 years, heroin being 15 of it. I have 2 kids. As soon as I found out I was pregnant I got clean that day. I also have always worked, just got back from taking my kids to a 5 day trip to Disneyland, have a 2 story house, and my kids never want for anything. I got a college degree with honors, while on heroin, being a single mom and working. There really is no excuse. You make the choice to neglect your kids, drugs have nothing to do with it. The only time in my life I spiraled down, neglected my kids, and starting losing everything was the few times I got sober. Finally, I stopped doing what everyone wanted me to do and decided to do what worked. I don’t do heroin anymore (because I have no veins and it’s hard to get and total crap, I also don’t like fentanyl and that’s all there is now) but I will always be on an opioid (methadone) and I’m ok with it.

But I really hate when they use drugs to make excuses for disgusting parents. My kids always came before my drugs. I used heroin and lived a normal life, even having normal friends. No one even knew. Its not just rare....its dangerous.
Im an ex addict and an ER nurse.
I found out i was pregnant in Dec 2007 right around the time someone at work decided to tattle on me (to distract from THEIR addiction and abuse/negligence of their patients).
So until i could "prove" i wasnt addicted (because in medicine, youre fuilty until proven innocent), i was sent home with my nursing license on the line.
Anyway, I knew I was pregnant but i was dumb and naive back then. So i quit cold turkey. (To "prove" my innocence of course. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🙄😒)
Around 2 wks into withdrawals (opiates), I began to cramp and bleed. I was around 10 wks along at that time.
Got to the ER (different hospital in a different town obviously) and all I told them was I was bleeding and cramping.
Sonthey did an ultrasound and his tiny little body was flipping and flipping and flipping! It wasnt until years later that I realized he was withdrawing too. Of course, babies dont really feel pain, pressure or discomfort until around that time or later and obviously he doesnt remember it but I still feel awful...
Anyway, hes fine now of course. He will be 15 in July. Hes perfect. Tall, handsome, healthy, smart, strong, active.
Hes perfect! But Ill always feel guilty about that.
My point is, pregnant women SHOULDNT try to withdraw during pregnancy. Its almost certain death for the baby.
      P.S. I cant believe i almost forgot!
The smooth muscle cramps my uterus did during withdrawal caused the amniotic sac to tear away from the inside of my uterus wall.
Only on half. It was still connected on the other side where the cord was.
But when it pulled away, it filled my utterus with blood.
And as my cervix was closed, so much blood couldnt escape before becoming one big clot.
I was put on bed rest until 36 wks while the clot reabsorbed - when I finally went back to work. Worked for 2 wks and he was born! 😊

Unfortunately Ive relapsed a few times.
Im certainly not proud of it either.
But it is what it is.
And we all know we couldnt have done anything differently until our "switch flipped" in our brain. Short of chaining us to a tree without access to a phone, theres nothing anyone couldve done to MAKE us stop until we COULD stop.
Thats what non - addicts dont understand. It may not begin like that, but it does end up being out of our control. We can hit our knees and beg God or anyone else to take the rig out of our hands, to take away our urge to use, but until we CAN quit, we really just cannot quit
So dont be too hard on yourselves.
No one is perfect. Yesterday is gone and we cant go back. Tomorrows not here yet so we dont ever know what to expect.
If we did know, if we couldve known where wed end up, we probavly never wouldve done drugs at all. But we didnt know.
All we can do now is make each day all that it can be for our babies. 👍🤗🥰

Drug addiction makes people feel powerless and hearing other people talk about their success getting and more importantly staying substance free can empower and inspire people to keep trying. Maybe the sketch looks spot-on to those of us on the outside looking in, & not so much to this oh we closest to this family. But her friends, who noticed Rochelle’s addiction was back in full force, she wasn’t posting on socials anymore & tried alerting CPS, they clearly knew something was very wrong. And if they didn’t see the resemblance in the sketch, they had to have seen it on the new at lest! How did they not recognize her for SO LONG?!? I understand the mom lied to friends & family, but if CPS & police did their jobs & refused to leave UNTIL they laid eyes on Bella, then answers would’ve been found much sooner. CPS has got to be the 1 agency that needs the most overhaul! Not just there, but everywhere! They take children away from families who have baseless allegations made against them, yet, they push reunification for families that should never be around a child ever again! 💔💔

@@JenX_1973 how would that work exactly? And holy hell the corruption this would quickly have. I certainly don't want children abused or neglected, but this suggestion would only lead to blatant issues of racism and classism plus the difference between driving a car and having a baby is you 100% choose to drive a car you don't always choose to be a parent, so say someone gets pregnant has to be tested for competency and is deemed unworthy, are we forcing termination? Forcing adoption more kids into a failing foster system?
I think this is more a case where more funding needs to go into CPS and similar programs, that we should teach children how to recognize abuse and how to report it, that we should inform adults of the warning signs of abuse and ways for them to report it that aren't cops showing up to every door, not ever case that looks like abuse is that, and we need more people and more resources to get to the facts so no child is abused and no one is falsely accused of crimes they didn't commit

addicts need to stop normalizing poor morals- we make mistakes. we're human. ONCE YOU INVOLVE A CHILD THO UR DONE, selling yourself for a fix is BAD ENOUGH for YOU and your own MENTAL+PHYSICAL HEALTH.. LET ALONE PUTTING A CHILDS ENTIRE LIFE ON THE LINE DAILY. I'm personally a recovering addict of the same substance as Michelle and WOULD NOT let myself sink like that and bring everyone around me with me. ridiculously weak. unacceptable. My ex threatened my PET RABBIT ONCE and put hands on me maybe 3 times, and I made a plan to leave and I followed through and never looked back because NOT MY BABY. even seeing poor baby Bella's clothes makes me feel nauseated.
IF YOU REFUSE BIRTH CONTROL/CONTRACEPTIVE OR FALL IN THE 1% THERE WAS AB0RTION!!!!!!! IF THAT GOES AGAINST YOUR SO CALLED BELIEFS WHEN YOU'RE ALREADY BREAKING THE RULES- THERE ARE TONS OF PEOPLE WHO WANT A CHILD! THERE ARE RESOURCES AND PROGRAMS(INCLUDING OUTREACH), THERAPY, TREATMENT, DETOX, GROUP CHATS, SAFE PLACES, THEN YOU HAVE FAMILY AND FRIENDS, TRUSTED PROFESSIONALS SUCH AS DOCTORS AND FINALLY FOSTER CARE END OF STORY.. YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE.

Amazing how so many neglected and abused children are paraded on social media in the guise of being loved and cared for yet the reality of their lonely, squalid lives is hidden from the world until they are found murdered. All those eyes looking at photos/videos but no one seeing the truth is the hardest thing to accept. Rest in peace dear sweet Bella failed by everyone in your short little life🧸🕊🎈

Why? WHY can't I be granted 5 minutes (maybe 10) alone with disgusting ppl like this! If someone was comfortable enough with me, to open up about murdering their own child or allowing them to be murdered... They would quickly wish they hadn't been so comfortable. I can't wrap my head around these parents doing this crap to their kids. I was abused horribly and I still, cant wrap my head around it.

What's also horrible is how there was a period where it seems like Rachelle was trying to make a better life for herself and Bella, even though she was still struggling with addiction. So it makes it even worse that in the end, she chose having a man around who was also on drugs and whom she was warned about, over the safety and well-being of her daughter.

So she is "the evidence". She told them what happened and they believed her. A person who already lost 2 of her children due to her actions.
Everything about the poor childs murder and his conviction is based on what SHE said. The police made the "evidence" fit the narrative.

This was personally hard to listen to, rather than hard to listen to because it's extraordinarily tragic (like *all* your other videos).
I had a mentally ill ex try to kill me thinking I had demons as well. We were both using drugs heavily, he had stopped taking his antipsychotics the week prior (I didn't know) and nearly beat me to death with a skateboard. It's terrifying to think he could have reacted similarly with a child, even one he didn't know, but it certainly was. Thankfully neither of us had any at the time, and he's dead now. The last time I spoke to him I told him that I was working on getting past being angry with him. He said "Why would you be angry with *me* ?! You left me!"
I "left" him to go to the hospital for six weeks, so he could go to jail and then be moved to a cushy psych ward because his family was all lawyers. Not that wasn't initially where he belonged, but...as someone with severe mental illness myself who has also been through psychotic episodes, I think it IS your responsibility to take your medications once you know without them you may hurt others or yourself. I'm never going to forget him standing over me crying yelling at me to stay still, he was doing me a favor, he was sorry but it was the only way to save me hold STILL. I hear it in my nightmares.
I had a fractured skull, seven broken ribs, nearly every bone in both hands and both feet (I used my feet to protect me as well as my hands). L1 and L2 in my spine were also broken leading to lots of physical therapy, years in pain management which I definitely abused, and mobility issues I still deal with...I'm 39 and use a cane, but at the time of the phone call I was 23 and using a walker.
At three I could process a lot. I have memories. She knew she was being hurt, she was afraid and alone and in pain when she died...and a child. Unable to leave. I could and should have left, I know that. She didn't have that option. That's the worst part for me.
Take your meds folks. Especially if you're seeing demons that make you think you should maybe kill people.
