Ufff...! Blackstar hat es geschafft :-) ! Obschon es bis am späteren Nachmittag dauerte ;-) ! Der weisse Benz war ja schon am Morgen 9am unterwegs.... Also, schön insziniert, super Bilder, die moosige Waldlandschaft gefällt mir auch besonders, und mit dem Funk-Ton ist alles noch realer, fehlt nur noch, dass sich der Fahrer bei den Innenaufnahmen bewegt....

Vielen Dank! Der Grössenunterschied ist in Tat und Wahrheit gar nicht so gross. Wenn man die Fender, grossen Räder und das erhöhte Chassis vom TRX-4 berücksichtigt. Kühlergrill, der Abstand der Frontlichter oder die Windschutzscheibe ist bei beiden Fahrzeugen beinahe identisch. 😉👍 Auch in echt werden Serienfahrzeuge teilweise aufgemotzt bis sie viel grösser sind!

A great video once again Matteo. That forest looked like a great place to drive and test the abilities of one’s rig. Seeing the TRX and the CC02 together that close makes me wonder what size the bodies are in comparison to each other. I remember you did a size comparison of the TRX4 Defender and CC01 Defender and the bodies were practically the same size. The fender flares and scale accessories just made the TRX4 looK bigger. I wonder if it’s that same for the two G Wagen bodies. From what I could tell in the video, the TRX4 G Wagen looks slightly larger in scale than the CC02 G Wagen by a few millimeters. Obviously the portal axles and fender flares and bigger wheels and higher ground clearance does help make it look larger.
Thank you! Yes, if we keep of the fenders and big tires, the two cars are much closer the same scale. But I think the TRX-4 ist still a few milimeters bigger.

There is a good interior lexan kit now for the TRX4/6 I ordered mine 3 weeks ago came out pretty nice it has plastic dash with Mercedes style wheel and gauges. Just search TRX6 interior on eBay they fit trx4 but easier to find.

I think somewhere in between these two trucks would be just right. I am currently trying to mould new fenders for my TRX4 Defender so I can run smaller tyres without them looking lost in the huge standard arches, time will tell if it works...

Side comment - Do you know what is interesting? That the first vehicle (I know of) to have portal axles was not featured. It was the AM General Humvee that the US military uses. I think the Mercedes G500 was a later vehicle. I'm going to look for a Hummer body for me TRX-4. (which I bought because of you) The '79 Bronco body is beautiful, with its lights, but I need a beater body, I think.
The portal axel is designt 1945 in Schwäbisch Gmünd from the construkores of the very first Unimog

TRX looks really big, maybe 1/9 or 1/8th scale
car is humongous irl, makes the normal g wagon look like a smart car
Most “1/10” crawlers are closer to 1/9 scale but all tamiya’s are about 1/10 scale
The base of the body is not much bigger (if you compare the size of the front grille and headlights or the windshield) But the TRX looks much bigger with its big fenders and tires and much higher chassis.

I have a question about traxxas crawlers: what car whould you recommand? the TRX4 or TRX6, I am thinking about buying one but i think the TRX6 is a bit overpriced cause it also needs a better esc and motor but they say it can climb better.
so please give me your opinion about the TRX6 and TRX4.

Why do you think the TRX-6 needs a better esc and motor? It's exactly the same as on the TRX-4, and this works very good. Also, the TRX-6 is out of the box fully equipped with led lights, this have a value of about 100.- 👍😊

The Black Traxxas have a 2speed transmission, in second gear it goes about 20 km/h the white Tamiya have a single transmission and goes about 12 km/h

I just bought me a Cc02 G500 with upgrades, can I ask do both trucks run locked diff?
On the CC-02 only the rear diff is completely locked, in front I used some diff putty. The Traxxas G500 have switchable diffs.
But the black geländewagen is much bigger than the white geländewagen. They are different scale?

On the Traxxas are Mickey Thompson 1.9 Baja MTZ, on the Tamiya CC-02 KM Crawler tire from MST

Are they even the same scale?!? There is no way.
Yes, if you compare the windshield or the distance between the headlights, you can see that both are almost the same. The driver figure is also exactly the same on both cars. The black one looks much bigger because of the bigger wheels, higher chassis and wider fenders.
