I cried when I first saw this last week. Just love it. All Australian except for Home Free. Absolutely love it. Producer: Luke Pierce & Ben Haley, Director: Jay Seeney - Blacklist Productions, Filmed: Hunting Ground Studios, Moorooka QLD. Travis was so excited about doing the collab with the boys. My friend Jay did an awesome job filming it. It was done when they were here in March for CMC Rocks.

When I logged in this morning after first listening to their release and I saw that at least one of the guest singers was Australian! Then I the first reaction that popped up was Lyle’s! It made me smile!! 😂😂😂❤❤❤

Highly obsessed with this one. Home Free is my FAVORITE group. I can't tell you how many times I've listened to The Horses, not just by Home Free, but by Daryl Braithwaite as well. I can't get enough of The Horses.
Song was new to me and it was top shelf, but your reaction blew me away. The joy in your voice was heart warming. It obviously took you back and you captured the feelings from your youth!
Chance's hand tattoo is a calavera -- the very artistic dia de los meurtos skulls. He's also recently added an old sea chart to his arm which I first saw in the Australian terms video. Man loves his ink.

I was waiting for your reaction. I loved the song when I watched it earlier in the week on Patreon, but had no basis for comparison. When a performer produces a cover of a song that is special to you, it can go either way. You'll either hate it or love it. Great reaction! Hahaha, I started giggling at Lyle 'tingling' and smiled with him through the whole song. There were huge herds of wild horses (mustangs) near our ranch in Wyoming, every few years the government would use helicopters to round up a bunch, clear them with veterinarian and adopt them out so they wouldn't over graze the land or get diseased.
Thank you Lyle! I get your reaction. Kenny Loggins had this out when my children were younger. I used to sing it to them. I had forgotten how much I loved it. The minute I heard it on Patreon,I had the same reaction. Music evokes strong memories. I saw there little faces and laughing. Teared up myself every time I've heard it today. I miss little ones. We all have those songs that bring us back to precious times. I was not familiar with this song but can certainly see it being that type.
Loved everything about it. Austin was perfect to start it out. Your 2 countrymen were wonderful joining in. HF is always smart enough, when the song calls for it, to have some members just provide the great background that fills the song out. One reason we Fries love these humble and gracious guys.
A content idea for Lyle realizing he does MANY more things now but JIK he is interested in working in some more HF content.
Go back to the songs/videos that either had the greatest initial impact, were favorites, or surprised him and do a retrospective. See if they held up for him, if the impact was still there or he still enjoys the song/video as much.
I specifically remember his "Helplessly Hoping" as an impactful reaction but I'm sure there were many others.

Insofar as it being an American writer - good music transcends national boundaries. I imagine the writer(s) are extremely proud to have written a song that Australia has adopted.
Was looking forward to your reaction. When this was released to Patrons, a couple weeks ago, it sounded familiar although I have no idea where I might've heard it previously being from the Midwest US. Somewhat rare for you to do a triple play but can appreciate the emotional attachment and associated memories. Could definitely see this as a rousing, ride-in-the-car singalong.

They were performing at a festival around March, wanna say Longreach but not sure. PTX were touring at the same time...I couldn't afford both. Definitely Home Free next time they are here.
Supposedly they will be back to Australia to tour in 2024. They had hoped to come back in 2023 but wanted to go to Europe since they had to dash out of there because of Covid
