    These eggs were perfect apliques for my egg collecting apron! They really turned out fuller and plumper than most. I loved every second of making my egg apron, but I wish you would design one in the future and have a tutorial for it. I just know it would be awesome. With the growing popularity of raising chickens, the call for these aprons has skyrocketed! Thank you for all of your easy to follow tutorials they are the first thing I go to for everything!

    I love them! Super cute! I was going to comment on your nice cowl and headband and then you mentioned it's your vintage cowl! I am making it right now! I have some 3 weight yarn that I'm not too thrilled with but I am using it to learn the pattern. I went and bought some nice DK weight yarn from a local yarn shop that I really like and plan to make it in as well. The colors are a cream and a deep teal. This current one is pink and white. I plan to make it small and give it to one of my younger granddaughters. They love pink. I LOVE the pattern. I really love the treble crochet stitch. I also see your subscribers increasing by leaps and bounds. So happy for you!!

      @JaydaInStitches  7 лет назад +1

      Hi Thea! I have to say, both versions I make of that vintage shawl pattern were made using yarn I didn't really know what to do with but liked the weight of and I love how they both turned out! That cream and teal yarn sounds gorgeous, what a lovely shawl that's going to be!

      Hi Lakiesha, you can use scrap yarn or embroidery floss and if you plan on using these eggs as appliques, you keep all the embroidery "mess" on the back of them :) We added a little heart embroider to one of our Candy Hearts, you can find the tutorial here: ruclips.net/video/-EHLTPzGv6Y/видео.html

    If I wanted to increase more than four rows, what do you suggest?

    • @JaydaInStitches
      @JaydaInStitches  5 лет назад

      Hi Shellie, you want to maintain the egg shape which can be a little tricky, I recommend you take each additional row as a unique addition to the egg and don't worry too much about following a "pattern". Increase gently where you feel you need to round corners and if it starts to ripple or look funny, take out the stitches and try something new - experimenting is always recommended!
