Lebron with Jokic's physical predispositions would not be a starter on any NBA team, and Jokic with Lebron's physical predispositions would be the GOAT. Everything that Jordan, LeBron and Chamberlain have accomplished in their careers with their superior physical predispositions is quite expected, and what Jokic has accomplished in his career with his unathletic body is nothing short of a miracle. Jokic is the best passer of all time and people are slowly starting to accept that as a fact. Magic is the second best passer after Jokic, although people don't want to admit it to themselves. Whether Jokic will ever win a championship ring is absolutely irrelevant because he has already greatly exceeded all expectations.

No one wants to say it, and a lot of people won’t say, so I will. It’s 3 reasons why he doesn’t get the love he deserves: 1. He’s white 2. He’s tall and goofy looking 3. He’s also not American… All of which have nothing to do with skill and how good of a basketball player someone can be.

Worth noting that the Joker is the only other player in NBA history besides Chamberlin to put up a stat line of at least 40-27-10 and that the Nuggets have won 25 consecutive games when Jokic records a triple-double, the longest such streak in NBA history, passing Magic Johnson and the Lakers from 1984-87. Last season the Joker was the FIRST EVER NBA player with 2K points, 1K rebounds and 500 assists in a season. Chamberlain missed it by 8 points in 1967 O. Robertson missed it by 15 rebounds in 1961 and Abdul-Jabbar missed it by 87 assists in 1975. Other than those three, EVERY other player, past and present, haven't even come close.
That makes the Joker one of a kind already.

  • @tpstrat14

just like Nash in his late 20s, Jokic is still becoming a better passer. That's because passing is about intelligence and experience, not athelticism. You could already make a legitimate argument for him as greatest passer of all time and he's still getting better, and by the way he drops 26 per game at 60+%. He's the only player I literally have to watch right now. Other games are optional but when the nuggets are playing I say to my friends "the artist is on tonight". I'll watch by myself if I have to LOL

I love both Jokic and Luka, but it's honestly insane how people outright demand Jokic to win a championship just so everything he's done so far in his career and his case as the best player in the league would be acknowledged by them whereas Luka's putting up the same insane stat lines that the Joker does every game and people are already calling him the future GOAT.

Then how about you add 10 assists per game that on average would add about 25 points as well as 11 Rpg as well. Luka is my guy and all, but even he understands the sheer futility of trying to stop Jokić right now. He improved a ton since that WCF against the Lakers and a healthy AD, where now he ACTUALLY has a decent team of consistent players and not streaky ones like he had during that season. You also, hopefully, understand that 6 other players average double digits for Denver right now - all thanks to one of the best, not centers, but basketball players to EVER play the game. Oldheads and newbloods who know what ball is all about will tell you the same thing. Fuck outta here with the 35 pts average bs and answer my question right now - no. 1 seed in the west is Luka's team yeah? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Good job @Hoop Reports! Not sure where he would stack currently, since he is just in the middle of his career. However, what's interesting about his style of play, which does not depend on athleticism: He can do this for years to come! Even when he gets older and slower... It will make little difference. He will still be able to put up crazy numbers. His next goal should be Championship, and I think as long as Denver remains healthy will be a realistic possibility.

Just out of curiosity, Wilt Chamberlain's season didn't include all his stats, but are they including all jokic's stats, isn't that an important thing to leave out?
It's not that jokics better than Wilt, Bill and Nate and numerous other centres, its that all these skills are counted in this era to make him look great, while the modern nba refuse to acknowledge or accept that a great center can be good in any era?
Nate Thurmond during his career 15 points, 15 rebounds couldn't do more in this era?
Wilt chamberlain a player who wasn't alone in refusing to score from long range (3 points distance) because it was a low percentage shot, while video evidence exists that Wilt was absolutely able to make shots from range, a skill that he never practiced.
If jokic is good today imagine how impressive a centre like Wilt chamberlain would be in today's game, when he not only has his 1960s skill-sets but all his blocks, assists, steals and 3 point (long range) scoring are added, he would make Jokic look normal!
The sober truth is while centers like jokic are rare in the modern nba, its simply a falsehood that jokic's one of a kind, the modern NBA, sportswriters and the media have failed to convince anyone who saw the centers of the past and I don't mean Shaquille, that Wilt or Bill are anomalies in skills and winning because they played in a none recorded era both on video and on half the stats that make up Jokic's numbers to make him look more unbelievable than what he his!

Let's make things clear. Yes it's amazing on paper, but context is king, as always. A lot of these recent "record breaking achievements" really benefited from all the rule changes that span from the start of basketball up until today.
1st of all, hand checking has become completely illegal. A lot of "seconds" violation for people in the post, which frees up more space. As said, space is king. More space, more chance to move your body and pass the ball. This is why a lot of teams prefer longer agile players than stout, somewhat shorter than norm players. I mean seriously? Look at the height difference from way back in Wilt's days and go decade per decade. And while there are still teams that are ok with small guards like Atlanta with Trae, Miami, etc. Most are now transitioning to big men or taller people handling the ball.
This trend started with LBJ, then KD, then Giannis, Jokic, Luka, Ben Simmons, Draymond included etc. Taller and bigger guys are now mostly the passers. Some not "big" or "wings" but still lengthier than most in terms of wing spans and height like Lamelo, SGA, etc. Due to the limits of seconds violations and freeing up space, teams need longer arms or taller players to cover the space/gaps. It's not like before that stout or muscular players even short ones can bully their way in, sure it still happens, but we know the trend.
So these record smashings has truly benefited from rule changes. Heck even "zero stepping" and carryings aren't called carries or travels anymore.
So the pace and space of the game has changed. Players had to adapt to this, which brings us to where we are. It's not just the needs of the league, the better genetics of the players, but mostly the rules that made them have to change, adapt. So it's not impossible anymore that most of Wilt's records will be broken. In a few years or so, maybe in a decade or two, someone will come along or multiple "someones" will break them over and over. I'm not saying Wilt didn't benefit from his era, he did. He played with others that while talented for their time, Wilt was just leaps and bounds better than they were. It's like prime Shaq playing against grade schoolers. He'd keep dunking, no other move needed. Heck he may even average a quintuple double 😂.
Not taking anything away from Jokic, it's just that, while impressive on paper, you still need context to show that he achieved it by being the best right now, while also benefitting from the rule changes

Like Wilt said to MJ "during my time, they made it harder for me, while the league made it easier for you".
