The constant uploads and work you both do, while it takes me a few days to bribe myself into weeding the garden. How do you both remain so energized to accomplish so much, if there is some sort of super food you are eating, this tired mum of 1 needs to know!
Laura - can you show us how you can/prepare and freeze your produce? Also - I am curious about your 'cold room' - is that done yet? Would love an update! Thanks!
Laura thank you for your wonderful videos. I also would like a part 2 video of you canning, freezing and or using your dehydrator for all this produce. Thank you for showing all of us how all this can be done.
Gm garden answer it’s is definitely that time to harvest, I recently just harvest a lot of fruits and veggies and herbs 🌿 fall is here........ Russel the garden protector 😆.
To freeze bell peppers, I just cut each one into four pieces and remove the seeds and stem. Lay out in a single layer on a cookie sheet. Freeze. Put into gallon zip lock bag. When I get ready to use them, I can pull out what I need, rinse which also thaws, and chop. Your harvest is beautiful and amazing!
Yes, canning, freezing, all the storage stuff! I want to start a veggie garden but I don't know what to do with it all after I harvest to make it last. There's no way we would eat it all that fast.
Congrats on having a baby girl!! You will love dressing her up💕😍.. Gardening/baking /cooking too.. Good luck and God Bless.. You and your beautiful family be well and stay healthy!!
Russell the prairie dog/garden ornament. Ha! NICE Harvest and pretty harvest music with the guitar. Amazing how much your bounty is -- it's so encouraging to see the rewards of your labor!
Coffee with Laura and Russell the rabbit cat lol. I thought he was going to go bounding off into the plants chasing something. Such a great harvest and so awesome to show how you can plant later and still get lots of food to store for later. Thanks for the inspiration!
I noticed around 11:32 that Laura stopped using the kneeling pad. I guess she got very excited and overwhelmed with the abundant amount of beans in the ground. I am amazed at the ease in which she kneels and gets up picking out beans. In spite of the belly, she seems to carry on as she did not have one, at all. God Bless her.
Wow thats a lot of harvest.. First time to see Russel standing like that for few seconds.. love your harvest.. I didn't know that o can still plant peas beans in July.. thank you for sharing
Russell the meerkat! Your gardens are absolutely wonderful. To be able to feed your family so much fresh from the garden food is enviable, but I know a lot of work was involved.. Since your corn ears are small, to be sure you get full corn cobs, I would carefully cut off a couple tassels into a glass bowl and either gently shake the anthers over the newer silks coming out, or use a small paint brush to brush the powdery pollen on them. Should take less than 30 to 45 mins of your mid morning. Will definitely be worth it.
Russell is so funny. He's a reminder of how full of personality cats are! Thank you for always sharing the browning, yellow, stories of trellises falling over; it reminds me that there will be struggles along the way!
I absolutely adore this video, your channel is a goldmine and seeing vids like this on in particular are so precious and not something I get to see where I live in the UK.
Russell standing up on his hind legs just randomly caught me off guard. Gave me the giggles. Made me think he morphs into human like behavior when he thinks your not looking. Haha
Wow! This harvest is awesome! It sure is worth the effort to plant! I can only imagine what that would cost if you had to purchase all that or even apart of it. It's amazing and gratifying to see so much from all the hard work getting the new property started. ❤❤❤❤
I just saw the videos with you and mom with give away flowers. Laura what a wonderful thing you did. Right now there s so much crazy out there, it s wonderful to see all the good. You and your.place great. You inspired me to keep going . I just love your videos.
I planted 17 cucumber plants this spring for my niece and nephew, 2 & 3, they eat them whole off the vine and can get through 4 (or more!) each a day. Never have any surplus here haha.
So sad that we now cant send seeds from Sweden to you. I've grown the most fun pea this season called " The train driver Bergfelts gigantic pea" It's a cross between a sugar and a grey- pea. It went enormus like six to eight times bigger than an ordinary pea. It was sweet, crisp and gave a lot for us to eat. So fun for the kids too. The best pea i've ever grown. Hugs Mia in Sweden
Be carefull that you don't send seeds or plants in a country wich are not allowed there. Some plants can be invasive plants/ neophyts and there are legal things to consider. E.g. Australia has strict rules.
Wow 😍😍😍 a beautiful harvest 🥰🥰 I feel just like you do when you look at your baskets full of beautiful vegetables 🌽 and think “wow I grew that “ BEST feeling in the world 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
How do you usually enjoy your beets? Russell is so funny....looks like he was having a sneak peek over the flowers at whatever was going on in the distance! He has such a vibrant personality!
so amazing what you have grown from seed. Although I know this is not a cooking channel I would love to see some of your dishes you make with all this produce or just the end result. I am sure you are a great cook as well.
You got enough for the weekly harvest market sale! What an awesome and colorful spread! Not to mention, Ummm.........huhuh...excuse me.....just thinking out loud at how delicious 😋 I'm sure it will be! Great job! Have a great rest of the week and God bless. P.S. Like stuffed bell peppers? Freeze some whole with just the tops and seeds removed. I freeze mine on a cookie sheet and then bag them. But I have almost completely forgot to keep some set aside for this reason a couple of years. 😆
I was given a gift one year of canned Dilly Beans flavored with garlic and a spicy pepper. It was amazing!! Since you have so many green beans that may be something to try!! Beautiful harvest!!
What a bounty! Green beans are always a surprise when you go to harvest. They seem to hide well until you really get in there and see how many are there.
Here in Montana we had a couple of frosts several weeks ago. I covered up my day neutral strawberries and am getting a few and they are blooming. Earlier in the summer the grasshoppers, birds and slugs got most. I can probably keep them covered with clear plastic and blankets for another month.
Hey Laura, I have never grown vegetables or flowers from seed but I’ve been so encouraged watching everything on your new property ... I cannot believe how quick things grow!! I’m definitely going to try seeds now next year so thanks so much for inspiring me!!
Such a beautiful garden space now...cannot even recognize or recall the land before you planted everything Laura! What a difference all the emending work! 🙏❤️🇨🇦
A few days ago I made a mixed pickles , with cut up cucumbers, pearl onions & cauliflower, & cut up sliced carrots. Dill pickles canned, Jenkins with the baby cucumbers, pickled onions, grapple juice, & grapple sauce, & butter. My sister does the pickled beets, alone with the jams. I make the 3 kinds of oranges marmalade. Navel oranges, clemetimes, & mandarin oranges. Mixing those 3 kinds of oranges together, makes a great marmalade. I even use Splenda sugar ,1/4 cup for 1 cup of regular sugar. Wow what a great combination. My next project is zucchini & cucumber mixed sweet green relish, alongside regular sweet green number relish, & zucchini relish. Then getting the tomatoes from my Sister 's garden. Making stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, salsa,(mild), & thick. Corn relish, pineapple salsa for using with fish, & pork chops. Might even try apricot salsa this year. Found a recipe that sounds good. Canned pumpkin, make it with just cinnamon, & nutmeg. Can't use the ginger cause of deadly allergy. So make my baking goods without it. The peppers I use some in my canning, the rest & cut up & freeze, & just take out what I need for each meal, then put the rest back in the freezer. That way you can keep the peppers longers. I make 3 different batches. One with the green peppers, one with the green pepoers, & then make a mixed peppers mixture when I freeze them. Just make a bunch of little freezer bags , of the peppers, & freeze. Say about 1-2 cups of peppers per bags. I even use the cut up orange peels, & freeze it in small batches, for using in baking. Or shred them & stick in ice trays, then freeze with a little bit of water. Take them out with amount you would need for say citrus muffins, or chocolate & shredded orange peel cake or muffins. My Mom makes a beet salad with pickled beets, celery cut up fine, along with an apple, & Miracle Whip , delicious. If you like beet soup or bortch. It is delicious. With the beets, best tops, carrots, onions, cut up fine, you can even add spinach, or kale cut up. But you need to start with either bone broth, beef broth, or vegetable broth. Then add your vegetables & tops of the vegetables . Add some Clubhouse Italian Seasoning with red lid only contains dehydrated vegetable peppers instead, of pepper spices. Which I can't have either. Add some onion powder, or salt, garlic powder or salt, a bay leaf. But the bay leaf needs to come out before serving. When everything is cooked, add your milk, with a little corn starch, to make it a little thicker. Cooking it a a little longer until it is a little thicker. Add a little bit of sour cream when serve it.
Beautiful harvest. All your plants look amazing. No bug or heat damage. I love it. That Land and Sea must be magic stuff. We don’t have it here in central Texas yet. Come on, PW. Get us folks in Texas some! Lol. I’m discovering fall is the best type garden to have. I don’t have to deal with the hot and humid extremes we get. Canning is my favorite way to preserve right now. First, because you don’t have to depend on electricity to keep your food safe. Then, because it’s so very easy. Like those green beans, just wash and fill the jars. Same with the carrots and beets. I pickle my beets, too. Thanks for sharing. I would love to see a video of you ‘putting up’ the harvest. God bless. 👏🏻💕👏🏻
I love watching you harvest 😍 It would be so much fun to see some cooking with the harvest. Maybe that can be something that you put out on your other channel in the fall/winter then there is not much to do outside.
I would be incredibly interested in how you handle or preserve your harvests! I know very little about canning, drying and freezing. I know it’s not your favorite aspect of gardening but I do feel it’s important, especially if the fresh produce can’t be eaten quickly enough!
Hi Laura beautiful harvest! Would you be willing to share your stir fry recipe?? I know that seems to be a pretty basic entree, but maybe you have a few secrets up your sleeve 😆😋❤️❤️
I cannot even believe the transformation in this area! I'm so happy for you guys. Between your rows looks very weed free. How did you and Aaron end up controlling all those killer weeds???
YAAAAY! My seven year old LOVES your harvest videos! She loves all of them, but the harvest ones (Especially where Russell photobombs and shows his butt) are her favorite. She thinks the cat is hilarious ! 🤣 Thank you for inspiring the next generation of gardeners! Thanks to your channel, she had a fantastic harvest season of tomatoes and basil (her favorite snack) and is planning a raised bed garden for next spring. ❤️
My auntie has a bunch of chickens BUT the eggs they lay have a very funky taste. My mom says it’s because of what they eat.... since your chickens tend to eat lots of veggies & fruits do you find that they eggs taste good, in comparison to eggs we buy at the grocery store. PS I love starting my day with Garden Answer, with everything going on around me you are a breath of fresh air for my soul. XOXO Zory from Katy , Texas zone 9
Had a yard sale this weekend in Meridian and who popped up? some of your family. I was so thrilled to meet Aaron’s sister and all of them. Such sweet folks. Told them how much I love your channel and showed them my new yard. Just moved here. Russell hilarious 🤣
Laura and Aaron, thanks for making such informational garden videos! I've been watching for nearly 5 years now and I'm constantly learning. I started seeing ASMR (no words, talking or music) videos on my YT feed and found them restful and calming, particularly of garden harvests like yours (particularly footage at 4:45 and 6:36). I've seen video hosts who let the sound of vegetables hitting a bowl or the snap of stem or stalk drive the content. It seems to be a bit of visual therapy! Have you already or would you consider creating such a video for your followers?
Always love watching your videos they're always encouraging since you have so many zucchini have you ever tried making zucchini candy all you need to do is boil them in pineapple juice until the zucchini look clear and then dehydrate them of course you have to cut them in slices or pieces whatever size you would like them to be
So utterly satisfying!!!! Love it that you still have strawberries in September. QUESTION...Just wondering if you find that the taste of these berries is best in summer and not as good by now? Very interested in these ! Maybe someone on here has experience as well?
I bought berried treasure reds back in the spring and some everbearing white fragoos and the strawberries are just as good right now as they were in June and July!
Russell adds comedy to today's video! 🤣 That is a good start to this Fall crop harvest! When I grew beans it was always a bumper crop harvest, I believe I canned millions of jars! 😁 I am impressed with everything you harvested! 😃🍉🍓🥕🌶🫑🥒
What a satisfying harvest. I love autumn and all it brings. Russell is so sweet 🐈 Could you please consider an update on your amaryllis? Do you cut the leaves back now? Is it a good idea to repot in fresh soil? When do you feed them and what with? Thanks for all the great videos. 🙏🏼😘
Linda, if you watch Laura on Youtu be you can put the videos in chronological order. Look for her past videos on Amaryllos. Mine is in basement now and not watering. When leaves die back cut them off and bring bulb upstairs. Don't water until it starts a flower stem.
Laura, for anyone new to growing produce like me would you be able to tell us how to know (what to look for) when the crop is ready to harvest as you harvest yours? Thanks so much. Your videos have inspired and cultivated the gardener in me!
Wow 🙌🏼 what a harvest. I’m so impressed. You so inspire me. This is all so new to me. Would love to see how you process, maintain, preserve all of these beautiful things! 😍
That is a wonderful harvest! I planted a few Amaranth seeds and learned something too: apparently the only thing cucumber beetles like better than cucumbers is Amaranth!
I wish, my garden got hit with frost 4 nights in a row about 2 weeks ago. Premature end of my season. I did plant garlic this week thanks to you. I never grew it before because we never eat it other than powdered, but I tried it raw the day I planted it and it was pretty good so I will grow it from now on.
I just love your harvest videos they are so entertaining...it motivates and encourages me not to give up on the carrots and beets not sure why I don't do well....I have tried everything...lol!
How awesome! What a harvest! Those beets look so pretty and those pea pods I could just snack on raw! I plan to build raised beds for next year.. do you have any suggestions as to the best crops to start out with? Your enthusiasm is infectious! Thank you for sharing!
wow its really nice to have vegetables garden so many pick to choose fresh vegetables for cooking. plus lovely flowers that brings life to sorrounding. 👍❤️
Do you eat the beet greens? They are my favorite greens. Fresh they are tender and mild. I slice them up and stir fry in olive oil, garlic and salt. So yummy 😊
Wow, what a harvest! Can you film an update on your Gardener's Supply dehydrater for us? You had not received it yet at the time of filming the apple drying.
Oh my.....so satisfying! Can’t get over your peppers!! 😲. My late planting has been a bit disappointing. Sunflowers did great but everything else is barely growing and not sure why. 🤔☹️
You should do an overview video of how you process the various crops. I struggle with storing things as it seems like everything gets soft shortly after bringing it in so it would be nice to see how you store your massive harvests.
Hi Laura! Can you do a video showing us how you preserve some of your vegetables? Canning, freezing? Thank you
Yes please ☝️☝️👨🏽🤝👨🏼
Yes please
OK!
Laura's chickens must be the happiest, well fed chickens ever!
I was thinking the same thing!
Like a natural garbage disposal. I love it. Nothing goes to waste.
Im so impressed with what a powerhouse woman you are! even being a mum to one with a bub on the way, you are a force to be reckoned with.
The constant uploads and work you both do, while it takes me a few days to bribe myself into weeding the garden.

I believe it also helps that her job is what she ❤️❤️
They eat good fresh food and are happy. Not so much drama but peace. Great recipe for a good life.😊❤️💕❣️
Must be all the organic veggies!
Especially for the pickled beets, please.
Russell is the funniest cat ever 😂
At first i didmt know what ibwas looking at, then realized he was standing straight up it kinda startled me!
Russell is the best name for a cat!
*bunniest 😂
I just love Russell! I wonder what he saw? Something moving in the distance, I suppose.
Russell pop up 2:10 like a rabbit 😃 Beautiful fall harvest.
58 days can bring you so much 😍 WOW!
Sandra Fuchß yes it is such an amazing harvest
I'm loving the time lapse of harvesting. It's as peaceful as sitting by a waterfall.
Gm garden answer it’s is definitely that time to harvest, I recently just harvest a lot of fruits and veggies and herbs 🌿 fall is here........ Russel the garden protector 😆.
Russell is definitely protecting the garden 😂
To freeze bell peppers, I just cut each one into four pieces and remove the seeds and stem. Lay out in a single layer on a cookie sheet. Freeze. Put into gallon zip lock bag. When I get ready to use them, I can pull out what I need, rinse which also thaws, and chop. Your harvest is beautiful and amazing!
My husband brought home a bag of peppers from a customer this week and I wasn't sure how to save them. I'm going to use your method! Thanks!
@@amywright2243 You're welcome!😀
I'm going through a tough time with my gardening channel but listening to your happiness and harvesting gives me the push to keep going. Thank you
I'd love to see a video of some canning tips
Who knew you could get so much in such a short amount of time. It’s been so fun seeing how things have done and are doing in your new space. 🧡
Ohh Russell!!! He is the cutest :)) it's so sweet he is always near by or sleeping lol that's important too
Russell is so funny. He's a reminder of how full of personality cats are! Thank you for always sharing the browning, yellow, stories of trellises falling over; it reminds me that there will be struggles along the way!
This kind of motivation has kept me going all summer long when I normally just quit and hide inside. Thanks Laura!
Seeing your “ Beautiful bountiful harvest” incentivizes people like me to give it a try. Everything you do is so inspiring.❤️
I absolutely adore this video, your channel is a goldmine and seeing vids like this on in particular are so precious and not something I get to see where I live in the UK.
We love you Laura, thanks for taking us along to harvest it’s SO much FUN!
Russell standing up on his hind legs just randomly caught me off guard. Gave me the giggles. Made me think he morphs into human like behavior when he thinks your not looking. Haha
This is everything I needed to see today! Please give us some of the recipes you use your harvest in ❤️

Can we get a compilation of you harvesting beets and carrots and other root vegetables. Because those beet pulls were so satisfying😩🙌🏾❤️
You have so much energy, I so appreciate your beautiful veggie/flower combo. You need a veggie/flower stand! Have a wonderful day ❤️
Love when your cats show up in the videos! They always make me smile!

I BET THE CHICKENS ARE LOVING YOUR HARVEST!!! Its so beautiful Laura, seeing the harvest laid out in the truck.
Beautiful harvest! Living in Finland the growing season is quite short, but I’m happy to say that I’m getting two harvests of kale😊

Always love watching your videos they're always encouraging since you have so many zucchini have you ever tried making zucchini candy all you need to do is boil them in pineapple juice until the zucchini look clear and then dehydrate them of course you have to cut them in slices or pieces whatever size you would like them to be
Good harvesting. Hard works never goes in vain. Good job, done wonderful.
Syed Burhanuddin yes! It so worth all the work when harvest time comes. A beautiful harvest
Loved Russell's brief stand-up routine!
I live about an hour away from Laura in Idaho. My ever bearing berries actually always seem sweeter starting in Sept. 👩🌾♥️
Did you receive a response to the testing of the soil on the new property? I'm interested in the findings. Thank you!
Russell adds comedy to today's video! 🤣 That is a good start to this Fall crop harvest! When I grew beans it was always a bumper crop harvest, I believe I canned millions of jars! 😁 I am impressed with everything you harvested! 😃🍉🍓🥕🌶🫑🥒
Roast the golden beets in the oven with a bit of olive oil! Delicious!!
Yes, this is soo encouraging! I cannot wait to have a veggie garden as big as yours.
What a satisfying harvest. I love autumn and all it brings. Russell is so sweet 🐈
Could you please consider an update on your amaryllis? Do you cut the leaves back now? Is it a good idea to repot in fresh soil? When do you feed them and what with? Thanks for all the great videos. 🙏🏼😘
Linda, if you watch Laura on Youtu be you can put the videos in chronological order. Look for her past videos on Amaryllos. Mine is in basement now and not watering. When leaves die back cut them off and bring bulb upstairs. Don't water until it starts a flower stem.
Sally Poppema Thankyou, I should have thought of that ☺️
Laura, for anyone new to growing produce like me would you be able to tell us how to know (what to look for) when the crop is ready to harvest as you harvest yours? Thanks so much. Your videos have inspired and cultivated the gardener in me!
Will you be doing a full garden tour of your "old" space this fall, the areas around your house, etc.? I miss seeing how those gardens are doing.
Gotta love ❤️ Russell I love his special appearance .
Wow 🙌🏼 what a harvest. I’m so impressed. You so inspire me. This is all so new to me. Would love to see how you process, maintain, preserve all of these beautiful things! 😍
I love how Russell follows you around. Like he’s a dog. it is funny
What a lovely harvest! I dream of one day planting a vegetable garden and harvesting. Thank you Laura for your inspiration.
Lovely harvest! Now's when you could use that root cellar.
Great Harvest!!! But I just can't get over how clear your paths are and free of weeds. Great job of keeping them clear!
That is a wonderful harvest! I planted a few Amaranth seeds and learned something too: apparently the only thing cucumber beetles like better than cucumbers is Amaranth!
good to no i am a young gardener
Laura, your channel and work really lifts my spirits. Do you get back pain or knee pain from all the bending and kneeling?
She's in her 30s and seems very healthy. Ask her again in ten or fifteen years, lol.
So exciting to see so much produce & so much left to pick. Your cart looks so beautiful. Really happy for you. Land & Sea & biotone. Incredible.👍💥
Love how you incorporated some natural garden sounds in this one 💕
How awesome! What a harvest! Those beets look so pretty and those pea pods I could just snack on raw! I plan to build raised beds for next year.. do you have any suggestions as to the best crops to start out with? Your enthusiasm is infectious! Thank you for sharing!
wow its really nice to have vegetables garden so many pick to choose fresh vegetables for cooking. plus lovely flowers that brings life to sorrounding. 👍❤️
I love watching your older videos when I’ve watched today’s video!! ❤️💫❤️
Russell is hunting. lol Great harvest. You are so blessed with your crops this year.
Oh my.....so satisfying! Can’t get over your peppers!! 😲. My late planting has been a bit disappointing. Sunflowers did great but everything else is barely growing and not sure why. 🤔☹️
Great harvest! They taste so much better than what comes out of the grocery store 'much more flavor'.
You should do an overview video of how you process the various crops. I struggle with storing things as it seems like everything gets soft shortly after bringing it in so it would be nice to see how you store your massive harvests.
Russell is on the lookout! 😆 I really, really like the tango cosmos..may be an addition to my garden next year along with sunflowers 🙄😊
