    Another great video, thank you. I watched a Dent Baron vid, (I believe) using his lateral tension with short tabs. As the force was applied it created crowns at the far ends where there was no damage. So thinking it needs a larger area for push force distribution.

      Yes I have seen that many times. Usually that happens when too much pressure is applied and the rod bends, thus digs the tabs into the panel. If the rod doesn’t bend, less likely to cause more damage .

    I used a 1/2 inch rod, real nice.

    That 5/8 rod seemed to require a lot less torque to turn.
    I made one a year or so ago using a basic scissor jack from a Toyota.
    It was ok, but very limited from the short span.
    Adopted Brice’s porta power method.
    Anyone looking to start using lateral tension, I advice to practice on replaced panels before trying on customers cars!

    Nice . I made one a year ago . Keep in mind there is different strength of threaded rod . I bought high strength from McMaster car

    beautiful tool. I want to make one but I don't know where to find the material here in Italy. the threaded part is found but I don't know the rest. Can you please tell me if there is something on the internet? or as can be found from something.
