I know it’s six years later but THANK YOU SO MUCH. I was ill when we covered this topic and now I’m reviewing it for homework and no one sent me notes so I’m currently doing my own. No textbook was able to make it as clear as you did. Thank you!!!!!
thank you so much for this video, im literally on the verge of breaking down from frustration. u explained this better than my friends and teachers good job 👍👍
Thank you so much! I’m in a online tutoring group lesson and didn’t understand anything but didn’t want to hold the group back, watching this rlly helped!
thank you so so much. i have a test tomorrow and didn't even know wtf this was. i totally get it now and got your whole exercise correct. super happy, thanks again!
I'm not sutre if its me or you,but the points are plotted wrong.Like I don't know how to plot the points its never accurate and theres a median question where its not the same as u did?
Hi, since in this video the data started from 0, that's why you joined the curve from (0,0). But what about if the data started from 1 for example, do I start from (0,0) or (1,0) or from the first point plotted?
Half the total frequency and draw a straight line, on the value, on the graph, until you get to the curve then draw a line perpendicular to the point and you can find the median.
@@alraydalley5635 For interquartile range you have to find the upper quartile and lower quartile and find the difference between them(UQ-LQ). To find the upper quartile you times the total frequency by 3/4 then plot it on the graph as if u were finding the median but instead finding the upper quartle, and for the lower quartile you do total frequency times 1/4 and plot on graph as previously.
Wish you could filter out all the, "Thank you so much this was great", "I didn't understand this when my teacher taught it but this was perfect!", "Great Video!". That blocks up every single RUclips video.
the median is equal to the sum of the frequency divided by two , but in the first question it was 30 , and the sum of the frequency was 50 , it should be 25 , right ??
@@mathsgenie7808 I thought that if the frequency was 50 or less, the median would be (n + 1)/2, but here you divided by 2 without adding 1. Please explain 🙏

At 5:00 ,isn’t the median 34.5?
Haha, it's rounded off.
Yep this opened my eyes! Thanks a lot!
That hepled me really!
Much appreciated sir 🙏
Thank you very much! It has been so useful.
What if the data is inclusive then do we first convert it to exclusive data?
thanks for explaining it so well . I understood everythin
absolute life saver.
its been 3 years what are you doing now out of curiosity
'hummm. that is not possible :) ' , I can't believe it only 2 watched commented out of 906?

It’s optional, you either start the line at 0,0 or at the point where your data starts
Thnx fr the explanation bro
Do your answers matter on how you draw the curve because i got different answers
How did you get the median
Also the inter quarter range
Half the total frequency and draw a straight line, on the value, on the graph, until you get to the curve then draw a line perpendicular to the point and you can find the median.
@@alraydalley5635 For interquartile range you have to find the upper quartile and lower quartile and find the difference between them(UQ-LQ). I don't get it😭
How to do whisker plot one?

Thank you I have my maths gcse exam tomorrow and forgot how to do this!
its not seconds its minutes 5:00
aint last question 15 people? cause it goes up to 70..
*10 seconds later* i understand..
the median is equal to the sum of the frequency divided by two , but in the first question it was 30 , and the sum of the frequency was 50 , it should be 25 , right ??
Bro I'm also baffed about this
Did he make a mistake ?
I dont know how you calculated the median ..
Great vid but at 9:27 you say the median is measured from 30 not 35
If there are 60 people the median is at 30.
@@mathsgenie7808 I thought that if the frequency was 50 or less, the median would be (n + 1)/2, but here you divided by 2 without adding 1. Please explain 🙏

How did he get the frequency
It was already there unless your on about the cumulative frequency which is all the numbers before added on to the current number
Thanks 👍
Thanks man
Thanks🌷🌷🌷
If they don’t give you the frequency.Do you have to use the mid point to find the cumulative frequency
i believe frequency is always given
thank you!!
Thank you!!!!!
Very good
Sounds like zerka
1:38 lol
what?
