I search RUclips the most for patterns because I prefer a video to a written pattern. I try to purchase yarn with a project in mind or I'll buy yarn if it's a super deal to stash for later. I downloaded Pocket Crochet app which allows me to inventory all of my yarn and info for projects.
RUclips for me!!! And I use yarn I already have most of the time (I have quite a bit). Sometimes my husband will let me get some yarn for a project or just because but most of the time I try to use out of my stash to save money and look for new yarns when I'm at or near a craft store.
An artist's color wheel is very helpful.
I use yarn that is on hand. I did win a box of yarn last year and received my first what I would consider non bargain yarn, ie not red heart or Mainstays or dollar tree. I love the helpfulness of your content. Always fun and fascinating. I really like your hair style and color, very cute. Went directly to get that Autumn Hexie blanket. Thanks

What I mean is I want to use a mandala square from one blanket and use the extension from another crochet blanket?
There's a designer I love and she made a beautiful pillow cover but it doesn't fit any of the ectopic from the others.

Tiffany. I want to crochet a small heart and add it to a crochet blanket I made. How do I do that? I am a strong beginner. HELP
Hi there @nanniesadventures2313! What I would do is begin my heart with a tail long enough for me to see the heart onto the blanket. Then when finishing the heart, thread that long tail into a yarn needle, place your heart where you want on your blanket and then just sew it on to attach. I hope this helps! 😊❤️🧶
