Don't forget the fact that Miguel didn't give up on Johnny as well. Miguel followed Johnny's teachings and he got hurt. If it was any other person they would be pissed at Johnny and never forgive him. But Miguel did and Johnny came back into Miguel's life. They helped each other and they never give up on each other. It's not just one-sided don't forget that.
