Your videos are the only ones I bother watching from start to finish. Just something about your unboxings. They're fun to watch. :) Keep 'em coming Carlos.
good video, glad your excited! I lol'd when you commented on the kit lens' glass saying "this is what you pay for" You'll be really excited when your start buying real lens', if you ever get your hands on an L series you'll really be blown away. The rings are soo smooth and the build quality is infinitely better than the plastic kit lens!
"I talk alot, don't I?" That's what makes these videos so awesome. I want a DSLR so badly! I used to have an SLR, and I loved it, but I moved away from a location with a darkroom, so I can't use it anymore, but DSLR's are so expensive!
I love that camera!!! I was so close to being it before I got my JVC... I still would love to get a camera like this down the road.. but the lenses are so expensive... Good luck with the Camera bro! I can't wait to see it in action!!!
Im going to get the Canon T1i in the craziness of black friday in a Best Buy here in Miami. Wish me luck! Your vid surely made me realize im making the right purchase after much research. Thanks!
Great to see that SLR in your hands, I own the 450D, and it is SUPER, but I would like that video option, so please do some more reviews on that so people can decide! Keep it coming!
You and your Rebels lol. You keep saying you talk too much, but that's why we like you Carlos. If we wanted to just watch some mindless drone unboxing stuff we'd watch something with music over the sound. The fact that you include personal stories and experiences is what makes your videos entertaining.
i use my 28-90mm seems to work really well get close ups but i also have 2x magnifier for it and a wide angle but i also have a 75-300 mm and really its just good for going to sports which i use most at like football games
Nice vid Carlos! I look forward to hearing more about this camera. I'm interested in getting a DSLR and can't decide between Canon or Nikon. Hopefully this will help! Keep up the great work on the vids!
Just got the 450D as a gift. Planning to buy a standard zoom lens for it since the 18-55 is not that great of a lens. Maybe the EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM.
Great video Carlos. Thanks for the unboxing I have been thinking of getting this camera but have been stuck between this or the point and shoot SX1 very close to a DSLR but think this may be the one for me. I just wish this had the swing out/tilt screen like the SX1.
Congrats Carlous! I remember buying my first Digital SLR. Like I mentioned on my tweet, please pick up a 50mm 1.8 lens! That lens is inexpensive and produces amazing results. Specially if your gonna take pictures of your daughters. Anyway if you need any help with anything to do with photography let me know. Again, Felicidades Carlous
oh - and it won't be too much for you to handle - keep it on the set up modes such as sport, portrait and it's as easy as a compact point and shoot. I did a one day course re the other settings and there are loads of youtube vids in what set up to use for what shot have fun - i bet you will have so many photo's of the girls!!!
There is no mic input on the T1i... the input you were referring to was for a wired remote... The T1i can also handle wireless remotes if im not mistaken...
Hey Carlos, you will not be disappointed by this Canon...I have the older Canon Rebel Ti with the 18-55mm lens and the 55-300mm lens. I know there are better lens' out there but I am so happy with the pictures it really doesn't matter. Go to vimeo's website and put in Canon Rebel T1i and check out the great videos you find there. That site has the best HD videos around. You will be using this camera a lot more when you see the quality!!!
Oh wow, this video helped me tremendously for all the wrong reasons. I too bought this camera - (Loving it to pieces!) - but have to send it back because it has a defective hot pixel and get it returned. Because I couldn't figure out how it was originally packaged, I searched and found this video. Oh dear.....
Great unboxing bud. You should've looked into the EOS 50D, it is older, but the kits come with some great lens'. The 18-55 is alright, I guess you won't be doing far length shots? I've got a 8-160mm lens, as I'm always going mountain climbing (y) Glad your back is ok
Great purchase Carlos! But also remember, most of the canon rebels have a 1.6 crop factor which means the sensor is smaller than a 35mm slide.. So the kit lens you have is actually equivelent to 28.8-88mm.. So it will basically shoot the same as your point & shoot... Also DO NOT read canons manual, go buy a book specifically for the camera.. Hit up amazon or barnes & noble to find one, they normally run about 18-25 bucks.. Good luck & get ready spend cause the photography world is addicting!
carlos if you want quality pics dont worry about the zoom get yourself a fixed 50mm (fairly standard zoom) 1.8 or better yet 1.4 to get GREAT quaility pictures with huge depth of field great for portraits and such
hi cArlos first thing you need to do is go and buy some lens filters which will protect the lens - get them on TODAY - once it's scratched it's ruined. You can put a natural sky light on for now until you work out what each filter does and what it adds to your photo's! No DSLR's took video's when i bought mine you lucky sod - i'm very jeaous! Also I would consider taking the 55 - 250 back and buying the 28 - 300 (or similar) I never use my 55 - 250 since i bought my 28 - 300!
If I were you, I'd be waaaaaay mooooooooore excited than you. I am still using my P&S Canon 780 IS. It's amazing but you know, just like you, I want to move on with photography. I can't stick to the auto mode. I definitely need full manual control & I want this camera to be my first DSLR. I'm afraid I can't afford it. Do you think I can do without buying these expensive lenses? I mean, can I just use the one that comes in the kit??
Lowepro and tamrac make some of the best camera bags, Also a majority of your camera items should be bought online its alot cheaper with lenses you should really try to get the F series lenses they have best glass and best build quality. I just recently got my 40d for my photography business and its great camera canon really knows what they are doing
When I got my first DSLR, I couldn't bother what in the box, all I did was ask the sales assistant to pop the lens in and off I went shooting. Nice unboxing but personally, I feel you are abit too over excited over the DSLR.
Should of just got the sx20is. It shoots 28mm-560mm. no need to change lenses or anything and shoots 720p and will optically zoom while shooting hd. much better than paying more for a t1i
Nice camera dude. You made a great choice, I bought a Canon Digital Rebel XT a few years ago for $600 great camera I love it, Wouldn't mind upgrading too the Canon 50D so I can have the metal body I like my cameras a little bit more heavy =P anyway take care and have fun.
After five years I'm still rewatching your videos. I really enjoy the way you did your videos. Will you have a comeback?
HES DEAD RIP
Your videos are the only ones I bother watching from start to finish. Just something about your unboxings. They're fun to watch. :) Keep 'em coming Carlos.
Depends. If it's 1080/60i, it can be pulled down for 1080/30p
@almostlaurel its not all about megapixels unless ur making huge poster and btw the t1i does have full hd 1080p
its crazy ! I just got my t4i last week and too see him unbox the t1i is just insane !
good video, glad your excited! I lol'd when you commented on the kit lens' glass saying "this is what you pay for"

Nice one.... I have the Canon 450D and I love it but not been using it lately should really get back into it since I spent so much on it.
Wow Carlos congrats on your purchase!
Nice vid Carlos! I look forward to hearing more about this camera. I'm interested in getting a DSLR and can't decide between Canon or Nikon. Hopefully this will help! Keep up the great work on the vids!

nice video. I have a handycam and they are great. I use the wide conversion lens and it is great. Have fun with your new toys.
Great video Carlos. Thanks for the unboxing I have been thinking of getting this camera but have been stuck between this or the point and shoot SX1 very close to a DSLR but think this may be the one for me. I just wish this had the swing out/tilt screen like the SX1.

Nice camera Carlos. I am looking for a camcorder myself, so i wanna see how you like the new sony you picked up.
oh - and it won't be too much for you to handle - keep it on the set up modes such as sport, portrait and it's as easy as a compact point and shoot. I did a one day course re the other settings and there are loads of youtube vids in what set up to use for what shot
have fun - i bet you will have so many photo's of the girls!!!
anyone know how much the sony handycam is?
Great camera Carlos, I would really like to see the review of your Sony Camcorder. I'm considering the same one.
I was wondering when you where going to get into the cameras
Will you be shooting on manual Carlos?, you seem to have a good understanding of apertures, shutter speeds, ISO's ...
There is no mic input on the T1i... the input you were referring to was for a wired remote... The T1i can also handle wireless remotes if im not mistaken...
@AETrainingDavid97 I'd go with the t2i. More megamixels, and full HD video. I think it's only 200 dollars more?
Hey Carlos, you will not be disappointed by this Canon...I have the older Canon Rebel Ti with the 18-55mm lens and the 55-300mm lens. when are you going to pick the winners of the rebel cases
quick question. i was wondering if this camera has a built in flash or if you have to use an external flash
Really nice camera. Looks a lot like my Olympus e420, especially in looks.
great camera..I have the Nikon D40, luv it.
what kinda watch you got?
i want to ask is good for beginner photographer ? and can we capture BW Black and i White photo ? re comment me please ?
at 12:51 you said there is a mic in. Not at all. Is an imput for external shutter
iw as gonna get the handy cam or the webbie cant remember but i was put off cause of no stablisation feature on the camera
I have the Canon EOS 500d it seems exactly like this, what Is the difference between mine and the Rebel T1i ?
Oh wow, this video helped me tremendously for all the wrong reasons. I too bought this camera - (Loving it to pieces!) - but have to send it back because it has a defective hot pixel and get it returned. Because I couldn't figure out how it was originally packaged, I searched and found this video. Oh dear.....

Glad your back is ok
Yeahh, great video. I've been checking DSLR for more than a week, and the video helped. This is the ons. TKS
can you use this as a webcam? i have the same camera but im trying to figure it out i heard you can but idk
Btw, that full HD 1080 logo on the Sony actually means 1080p not 1080i. Right?
Ahh Carlos I wish you was still here man you’d of lost your mind knowing we can now shoot 4K 60fps with HDR on an iPhone R.I.P
Great purchase Carlos! But also remember, most of the canon rebels have a 1.6 crop factor which means the sensor is smaller than a 35mm slide.. So the kit lens you have is actually equivelent to 28.8-88mm.. So it will basically shoot the same as your point & shoot...

omg, the EOS Rebel can take HD1080p video too, that's what it says on the Canon site... so I don't think there was a need for the sony cam
Agreed, Aperture is awesome, I have it and Photoshop and i use it over photoshop 9 times out of 10
oh snap! i got the same camera on friday. love it. love it!
Carlos, could you insert some photos from this camera (full resolution) on the next video ?It would be awesome.
Love your video man... even if you do talk a lot, u make it really interesting and fun to watch...keep it up man!

i have a canon 50D and i love it
well that was an expensive trip to best buy !!!!
wow keep it up Carlos! your videos are great
carlos if you want quality pics dont worry about the zoom get yourself a fixed 50mm (fairly standard zoom) 1.8 or better yet 1.4 to get GREAT quaility pictures with huge depth of field great for portraits and such
@marquesbrownlee What is that port? If it isn't a mic in?
awesome camera carlos....hope ur back is getting better
Isn't both the camcorder and the camera 1080p and not 1080i?
i just got the hdr cx 100 yesterday!!! i love it
hi cArlos

Have you announced the winners of the giveaway yet?
Whats the use of a dslr if your gonna use your point and shoot way more.
good you got canon i just got the rebel xsi i love
If I were you, I'd be waaaaaay mooooooooore excited than you. I am still using my P&S Canon 780 IS. It's amazing but you know, just like you, I want to move on with photography. what does telephoto mean, i know this is a stupid question but i dont know
So nice that you finally buy a HD camera!
you might want to invest into Aperture....great software, Mac only and many professionals use it.
It's going to take a while for you to get through those instructions! Good video
Nice HD camera Carlos, good for recording great moments.
is this the latest Canon DSLR?
correct more MP is not needed unless you plan on printing large prints
Nice vid. Hope you enjoy the camera!
i have the canon rebel but it doesnt have videos... :(
I'm getting my Rebel next week!
Im waiting for the Kodak Zi8 only 179.99 and shoots in 1080p and 720p, coming out next month. Great unboxing vid carlos, i see you doin it big :)
what happened to your flip mino?
OMG CARLOS! That's the camera I'm getting next week! Great Entry/Mid-range DSLR ;) But it's 1080 HD at 25-30 fps. A little jerky.
Carlos i think the 250mm lens is considered a "zoom lens"
omg man... i never imagined u would get this camera... i have been saving up for a year now and i still cant get it :( .. very nice video
unfortunately the T1i has a 1.6 crop factor so that 18mm is more like 28mm. So your point and shoot will have a wider angle.
the rebel box looks straight outta the 90's
no they said September 1st, unless its available some where else, but over here and even on kodaks site it says September 1st
@2000pcman lol, it is currently 22 version
how much was the canon rebel T1i?
Nice Carlos, looking forward ti hi-def videos
Nice camera, I like Nikons myself, but you got a great camera
great unboxing carlos, love your vids.
When I got my first DSLR, I couldn't bother what in the box, all I did was ask the sales assistant to pop the lens in and off I went shooting. Nice unboxing but personally, I feel you are abit too over excited over the DSLR.
Should of just got the sx20is. It shoots 28mm-560mm. no need to change lenses or anything and shoots 720p and will optically zoom while shooting hd. much better than paying more for a t1i
Nice video it helped alot XD when r u gonna review the extra lens u bought, hopefully soon ;)
grate video carlos nice to see a new video from you
Nice purchases Carlos.
499 do you think that cheap?
Hey Carlos.
Great vid and love canon DSLR.

Peace
SOOOO JEALOUUUSSSSSSS...I really want my own DSLR. I had one for awhile and it was wonderful. I personally want the D300s
How much is the Sony HandyCam???
Nice camera dude. You made a great choice, I bought a Canon Digital Rebel XT a few years ago for $600 great camera I love it, Wouldn't mind upgrading too the Canon 50D so I can have the metal body I like my cameras a little bit more heavy =P anyway take care and have fun.
I never use the software that comes with cameras..
