Thank you for this inspiring treat! I have been extremely busy and never had a chance to watch this episode. But I finally had time today to enjoy a leisurely lunch and feel transported to your relaxing conservatory. What a joy to my senses! Your videos are so well done. You include sweet little touches of movement and the viewers feel like we are right there with you. Truly breathtaking.
Your conservatory is wonderful, such beautiful plants, and to look out the window see the snow. I cannot keep a plant alive for anything, so I will watch in wonder as you do. ❤️😊🪴
I love my houseplants year round as they give life to all my rooms! They help me get through New England winters while waiting to play in my little front yard garden.
You have a beautiful room. Have no idea how you do everything you do. Children, paint garden in and out and maintain your wonderful home. Thank you. Sandy
Hi Angela! Love seeing the conservatory….it truly is a beautiful place to enjoy the beauty of the plants, as well as to relax, read, and exercise. Plants, books, and music are things we all can enjoy and they bring life to a home as well as peace. Thank you for your segments…..you are an inspiration!
I love New Orleans and your courtyard inspired room makes me think of sitting in the square by the catherdral, going into Cafe Du Mond, and enjoying a salzerac in a cozy jazz bar- it's perfect! Your channel is always inspiring, thanks so much.
Hello Angela! Your houseplant collection is amazing! I have plants throughout my home, but can only dream of having a space like this! Thank you for sharing!
I have and have had quite a few of the sane house plants as you- and its is always a joy to help them grow and sit amongst them. I espcially love the cathedral windows, calthea- it always reminds me of the one who created them all as it looks as if the leaves have been painted by hand. Thanks for sharing xx
I really enjoyed your conservatory video. It was so calming and beautiful looking at all of your gorgeous plants. It is on my wish list to have my own some day!
I caught this literally in the midst of a green therapy day where I drive around to plant places and explore- I mean I also came home with some violets for Valentine’s Day and a Joseph’s coat! 😂 I have such a challenge keeping ferns alive and of course I love them! I have tried all the usual suggestions. Anyone have secrets for ferns? Beautiful, Angela!
Aloha:) Ferns need lots of humidity.. they dry out very quickly. Even in a tropical humid, climate..ferns need to be in the shade here and be in an area that receives lots of rain. If your house in the mainland uses heating.. I would assume the ferns would not do well. It might not be you as the caretaker..it might be the climate or environment inn your home How that helps
@@avisladera6415 thank you! I loved your comment about the different plants you have around you that we consider houseplants! I live in Wisconsin like Angela.
Dear Angela- it is very good "feng shui" to have healthy green plants growing indoors around your house. If your plants survive and thrive , that only reflects your own well being. I share your love for houseplants. Some have lived in my house for more than 10 years. Bonne chance, and happy gardening!
Aloha Ang! I live in Hawai'i and I find it so interesting that all the mainland house plants are our normal plants here that we grow outside 🤣 Then a bunch of your outdoor plants that I covet, can't grow here because it doesn't get cold enough(stratification) or is just not cool enough.. like hydrangeas. I see these"house plants" outside everywhere.. daily.. so I don't get as excited as I do seeing things that we don't have here lol. Personal preference:) I use many of these to make lei po'o for hula.(worship hula-I am a Christian and we dance at church) You should try making leis with some of your leaves:) you can wili(twist) them..or haku(braid) them and then add on pua(flowers). You would be a natural! Your so crafty. You can also use your ti leaves to wrap meats or fish or different types of food.. to steam them and it's yummy. We use it to make laulau (which means leaf, leaf) Mahalo for all that you and shaye do to inspire homemakers From a -Christ follower, wife and mom of 4 🌺🌺🌺
I love this. And it's so true. SO many "houseplants" are just normal plants in the rest of the world. It's 3 degrees F here today, so I'm very grateful to be able to enjoy this tropical beauty. PS - I love hula. It and other cultural dances like belly dancing look SO beautiful.
@@ParisienneFarmgirl Awe! Mahalo! We are greatful when people love and appreciate it! And that it can bless others :) P.s... that's cold! I've never seen snow..and I'm almost 35 years old hahaha
You are so lucky to have a cathedral window facing south all my windows are small so I can only have low light plants enjoyed your tour on this cold foggy morning
Hi Angela, such a beautiful room, plants and music! Is this where you will start your seeds for the garden? I think you started seeds in the mud room last year (?) The fountain is magnificent!! I’m on the hunt for a great fountain for our potager. Counting the days till spring, Julie 🌷
This was really fun! Thank you. How do you keep your kitty from getting into them? Also, how do you decide which plants to overwinter? I will definitely take some ideas from this for my overwintering next fall! 🤗❤️🪴
I love your plant room. I never had good luck with indoor plants until we moved to our retirement home that had a sun room. Now the plants go crazy! ( guess they need sun! DUH)
So lovely! All my plants have been exhiled to the spare bedroom because I have a very naughty kitten that likes to dig in the dirt. Any tips on keeping cats out of houseplants?
Love this informative video. I'm a "winterover" person also and use my rosemary all winter; also enjoy my blooms on pink and red geraniums. Did you mean fiddle leaf fig instead of fiddle head fern?
@@ParisienneFarmgirl ...And your first plant - the rubber plant is actually a peperomia. Rubber plant is much bigger and structured. Anyway your conservatory is a very peaceful place to relax and recharge. Love your videos!
So loved this video - hope to be building something similar this spring...two questions - how do heat this space? and are you concerned about your kitty and 'the toxic to cats' plants?
Did you remove your rope from in between the floorboards for your room in the ceiling above? I was considering doing the rope idea in our dining room but now wondering if the technique didn’t hold up for you?

The blue glass bottles in the Rosemary look lovely.
They are old ink wells dug out of VIctorian garbage pits. Their colors are so lovely.
