Love your Grandpa Kate he is the voice of experience and he has the knowledge to enable future generations to be the best they can be. Listen and take heed of every word he says Kate. All your grandpa’s advice will be invaluable when you are running the farm on your own in the future.
Hello little Kate, thank you for this video. We don't shaw not enough the big problems that faemers can face. Thank you your dad and your grand dad for their explications. Have a nice day.
Kate, I appreciate your passion for farming. You are a sponge when listening to her Dad, Uncle, and grandpa to learn about all aspects of the operation. They have a wealth of knowledge to share. Keep up the great work ethic and great video's. This former Iowa farm kid has Montana on my bucket list to venture that way to see the operations in person. It is very impressive. Take care.
Fields in the uk have ditches, hedges , roads in between so no spread like this. Not to mention the rain we get. Interesting video, enjoy your harvest 😊
Your dad is one of those calm guys - the exact type of person you want to have around in case of emergency! Pretty exciting stuff Kate, I hope the rest of harvest is nice and relaxed!

I volunteer on the fire department in a farming community... Seen lots of scary fires... I'm actually to busy farming to be dedicated to Fire Department.... But somebody has to do it, help when I can.... One of the few volunteer jobs I do where people come up to me, to let me know they appreciate it!!! Fires can get very serious...very dangerous FAST!!! Big thanks to neighbors and people who are willing to fight these fires. Fighting fires and farming at the same time have made for some long days and nights!! Great video lets people realize how stressful farming can be at times... Farming is never boring always an unexpected situation coming up!!!
Thank you for your great comment and for your service in the fire department. We really appreciate those who are volunteer firefighters because they are the real heroes. All our neighbors help with tractors and discs because it doesn't take long to burn 10,000 acres. It is amazing how quickly our volunteer firefighters can get organized and on the scene! We are very grateful that everyone was safe and so were the animals.
You are very lucky to be around these older guys like your dad and Grandpa. As you get older you will realize they are great people to be around. They've been around for along time and good people to be around especially your Grandpa. Try to keep hanging around them, a lot of wisdom to be gained from being around them. Enjoy your videos.
Neighbors helping neighbors in the true American spirit is, unfortunately, something that we do not see enough of in America today. You have a very kind and caring family Kate.
Well done, Kate. When you're driving around work through what you would do in the case of different emergencies. Talk it over with your dad and grandpa and then you won't have so much anxiety and will be better prepared for what ever might happen. Did it for my 26+ years in the Air Force and still practice it even now. Preparation pays big dividends. Stay safe!
That's amazing how fire's can hurt the farmer's, your amazing Kate on what you do to show people what you farmer's have to deal with , your a very smart farmer and learning a lot from your dad which will help you in the future with all your farming, thanks again Kate 😀

Great content Kate. I'm a rancher in Oklahoma. In the summer during fire season, our winds are so strong in Western Oklahoma that it is almost impossible to put a big fire out! Keep up the great content young lady!
Kate, you are awesome. Please become an investigative journalist. The world needs more of your piercing interviews. You unfailingly drive right to the point. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
Thank you Kate . Great observation. I agree. Listening to the calm approach your father takes in light of the situation, that is a man I would be happy to have around in a stressful times . I am not a farmer so I have no idea how much damage a field fire can do. I do happen to know that natural fires occur in the forest all the time and I feel so bad for the livestock being in danger and having to find new places to live but in the long run the fire does the land a lot of good making the soil fresh again and ready to start over. I hope you all stay safe and I really enjoy your reporting Kate. Your doing a great job.
Oh my goodness.Kate! My anxiety was through the roof! I am beyond grateful that nothing really bad happened. And Kates Ag Dad, your input to your daughters videos is priceless. Thank you sir for your comments. You really help explain things. There are a ton of Kates followers that are so interested in what y'all are doing on your beautiful farm. God I am so sorry this fire happening. Stay safe y'all. Thank you, Kate. God bless America! 🇺🇸
Hi Mr. Koblitz! Thank you for your kind words!!! I am very grateful that everyone and all the neighbors animals were safe. There is nothing worse than having to turn a herd of horses out because of a fire. We are all very fortunate!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I was a kid, in the 1950's, I used to ride the train from the titanium mine way up in the Adirondack high mountains down to the port of Albany, NY. The heavy trains and hot iron brake shoes would spark fires all the way down out of the mountains. At night, you could see a ring of fire around the wheels. The fire companies would all go on alert when they heard us coming, blowing the horn for the crossings.... Glad you're all safe and the Lord switched the wind around! WillyB
This is why I love farm communities. Everyone sends equipment to help their neighbors. Half the fire department are farmers. Everybody coming together for one common goal
Why do you assume she will get married? Many women are choosing not to marry or have kids, so they can live their lives and not have that responsibility
You did a great job on the play by play of the Wheat fire, didn't realize it was that dangerous, Kudos to You Young Lady...I loved that Piano Riff at the end of your video, finally was able to hear the entire piece of Fifth Ave Stroll...
I love this activity ….Kate you are an amazing super young woman- a definition of beauty and brain who is out of her comfort zone rolling-up your sleeve and ready to showcase and inspire the world especially the young generation the benefits of farming in our contemporary world. I salute you.
It shows how important it is to have equipment like the disk and water trucks on hand for harvest. If it isn't lightning, it is dust and chaff in the combines. In my part of Northeastern MT we have fires in places it takes an hour or more for the fire department to get to. The locals are great at trying to get the fires out. My hat is off to them!
Oh my...so sorry you had a feild fire so close to you and had crop damage. Glad you and your family are all safe. I hope no one was harmed and hopeful everyone else that suffered crop damage is able to get by okay. Kate thanks to you and your family for being so friendly and well mannered. Even though your busy you still try to reply to each and everyone of us. Your positivity is a breath of fresh air!
Your a doll. Love hearing about farming. My grandpa had a farm in southern Michigan and I've been out west for harvest myself with some Amish boys I took to Missouri
WOW! That was wild. I've never seen a field fire like that, I have heard about them. I am so glad your dad got some footage wit is drone. It really shows the reality of the situation. I feel sorry for your neighbor. But I am so glad it only did minimal damage to your crop. When you turned around and got a real view of the fire, it looked like the world was on fire. This year in North Dakota we've lost a lot of acreage to fires because of the cigarette flickers out the window on our highways! Good coverage of this fire looks like it went a long way up that Cooley. Good Drone footage showed where the disc did their thing! I enjoy your interviews with your granddad, I see where your father gets his sense of humor.
Thanks for the update I been wondering how it turned out glad no one got hurt my 12 year old watched with me she had never seen fire in farm ground before she's been harvesting with me since she was 1.5 years old I'd seat belt her in the buddy seat and away we would go
As a rural firefighter I seen a ton of these fires. Nothing beats a tractor and disc at fighting these fires. We pull the brush trucks out of the fields and let the tractors work.
Well it was good to see you guys didn’t lose much crop or any equipment! And congratulations on the new combine with duals! You’re sure lucky to have a dad and a grandpa as smart and as nice as they are! As always love watching your videos, keep up the good work Kate!!
Where I worked in Eastern Oregon hay field fires can burn so quickly when the winds are high and are very dangerous. The farmers all worked together to put them out. I never saw a field fire when I was working as a hand on the Ranch. The Cowboys told me about them. Lightning started the fires. Great video. Thanks Kate's AG for this informative video. :)
thanks for another great video fire wind and mature crops are such a dangerous combination, you family was well prepared and you handled it well, glad to see you are all safe thanks again!!!!!!

I remember my grandpa had a field fire out on his farm. I was only about 10 years old at the time so to me it was very scary. I remember my uncle's helping him to control it. There were others with water trucks helping to put it out....stay safe out there.👍
Glad you were able to stay safe and that the fire got under control. The drone footage of the aftermath was really interesting to see how the fire burned and what stopped it. Congrats on hitting 30k subscribers!
Here in Northern Michigan, when the farmers and ranchers need help, we are one family when we need or don’t need each other. We love your videos, keep them coming.
I farmed with my father until I was 23 in the UK and we had a combine fire. Pretty frightening because when you are on the combine you don't know the machine is on fire because the smoke looks like dust at first and when you are concentrating on the header its really in your peripheral vison. Unfortunately, by the time the driver realises the machine is usually really well alight if no one else is in the field. Then the field is also quickly on fire in minutes. The fire service is of course miles and miles away and a field of dry standing wheat on fire in a wind just rips through with a sheet of flame.
A great but sad video Kate. I would think the hardest thing for your self and those helping you combine as the feeling of helplessness, nothing you can do but watch. I am glad that no lives or property were damaged, loss of part of a crop can be covered. I really like what you show us Kate, and applaud what you do.
I think a fire like this is very dramatic if you've never seen it. But it just happens sometimes and you have to do the right thing. Thank you for the insight into your important work. 🙋🇩🇪
You definitely should continue your interviews with grandpa! I'm sure he's full of great stories from his farm life as well. Good job with your channel. Live "on the scene" reporting!
I think these farmers need to look into the old way or preventing fires from jumping between different farms, it's called a fire break. It's a stretch of green grass, cut regularly at the edge of your property and/or by roads. Preventive is better
A tractor sitting with a tank of water is a good idea to have close by and get on top of ot before it gets out of hand also stop and blow equipment out everty once in a while is a good idea
I'm from Georgia and don't know what a doolie is. We have field burn offs. Where you catch the field on fire on purpose, mostly in hay fields or in pine trees forest and this does two things. The hay comes back healthier when we drill and in the woods it removes the fuel for a fire. We have more cotton here and cotton pickers catch on fire all the time. You hear about it happening every year. A cotton gin about 30 or 40 minutes from the house had 60 to 80 of round cotton bails burn. Cotton straight off the plant is extremely flameble. Kate thank you for the videos it's neat to watch farming is done all over the country.
A coulee is like a ravine or a wash out area where the water runs out. Thank you for your great story! I would love to visit a cotton farm!!! I appreciate your kind words and great encouragement!!! You made my day!
we didnt drive around speculating on whos field was burning and hoping it didnt burn ours, we went and helped fight the fire regardless of whos field it was
Another great video Kate ! You are one tough( albeit pretty) young lady ! Wow, I felt the tension you, your dad and grandpa were feeling and I’m many miles away ! Very interesting. I love all your videos. I'm a firefighter so I especially enjoyed this one.
Thank you for your great story and wonderful kindness Mr. Mordan! Thank you for being a firefighter!
I think a fire like this is very dramatic if you've never seen it. But it just happens sometimes and you have to do the right thing. Thank you for the insight into your important work. 🙋🇩🇪
Thank you for your kind words!!!
Glad no one was hurt. Be safe out there.
Thank you for your kind words!!!!
You definitely should continue your interviews with grandpa! I'm sure he's full of great stories from his farm life as well. Good job with your channel. Live "on the scene" reporting!
Thank you for your wonderful and kind words!

Hello from Montana! Thank you for your kindness!!!!!!!!!
That sky behind you is awesome. Very pretty country.
Thank you for your kind words!
Don’t have to be that exciting. Glad fire out. Just like looking at big fields.
Thank you for your comment. We are glad everyone is safe!
Don't forget dads new combine. Important.
Thank you for your great comment!!!
Well that was kinda tough to watch Kate. Scary stuff right there. Glad you guys are all right. Hang in there and be safe !!
Thank you for your kindness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ich wünsche euch alles Gute und viel Gesundheit und bleibt Gesundheit
Vielen Dank für Ihre wunderbare Freundlichkeit!
we didnt drive around speculating on whos field was burning and hoping it didnt burn ours, we went and helped fight the fire regardless of whos field it was
As they did, didn't you see the tractor with disks driving past? Or did you want them all to go try and stamp it out? 😆
Hope everyone is staying safe
Thank you for your kind words! Everyone is safe!
Kate I am glad they got the Fire under Control and everybody is safe

Another great video Kate ! You are one tough( albeit pretty) young lady ! Wow, I felt the tension you, your dad and grandpa were feeling and I’m many miles away !
