Favorite looking? There are 4 grades of Blackwings for which all the "Volumes" are based on. You have 'soft' (Blackwing black), 'balanced' (Blackwing Pearl), 'firm' (Blackwing 602), and the additional 'extra-firm' that appeared with the Volumes 24 and 530. My favorite grade is "BALANCED", which is why the Blackwing Pearl is my favorite of the original 3 that you can buy anytime. The Volumes are limited editions and won't always be available to buy. Of these, I like Vol. 725 as it is also "Balanced" like the Pearl and has a cool paint job. My least favorite is Vol. 24 because it is all black (boring) and extra-firm. I prefer the softer pencils.
Up to now, you've had several "best pencil in the world!" Pencils, in that category, well, my major question would be, which best pencil would be your VERY VERY BEST pencil in the ENTIRE pencil community? No sir I'm not trying to be funny. This is a serious question. Thank you.

Hey Rick i found some chinese woodless pencils on aliexpress set comes of 7 pencils from 2b to 12b it must be as black as kimberly 9xxb
If they are just graphite, probably not as black as 9xxb. The 9xxb contains carbon as well.
