      Yes but when u watch 1080p content on a 1440p monitor it looks blurry. 95% of youtube videos and 100% of twitch streams are 1080p. Movies u can usually find 4K, but if u watch videos or streams you're screwed. Better buy a 4k 144hz monitor. U need at least a 4070 Super for that (or Ti or Ti super, the base 4070 is a bit too weak) and u can get some really decent monitors such as the Msi Mag 274UPF which is less than 400 dollars.

      Glad, I'm not the only one. Been using 1080p 120hz for almost a decade and after switching my monitor to 1440p 120hz few months ago. The image is a bit sharper and that's about it. I could slightly tell the difference when I'm up close. If you are on a budget 1080p is still king. 900p and 720p are also still good as well since I use it from my server.
      1440p is only worth it if you have spare cash and in need of a niche upgrade. It's a decent enough upgrade if you have a gpu that could take advantage of it. Though with that said, it's not mind blowing enough that you should switch your 1080p to 1440p asap.

    There are people that actually can't feel the diff between 1080 and 1440p. I advise going to a monitor shop to check if you can actually see the difference or even better go to your friend's house that plays the same game as you. Same goes for refresh rate if you have a 60hz monitor, uncap or set the FPS limit higher and see if you can notice any screen tearing.

    Its important to note that 1080p is still a very solid resolution, but most people upgrade because 1080p is CPU bound and having a 1440p monitor will actually use more of your GPU (which on mid tier or high end builds it's actually better to have a 1440p monitor because you want to get the most out of your expensive GPU)

    My analogy:
    1080p if 24" or less (better fps)
    2k/1440p if 27" or more (mid fps)
    4k if 32" or more (not so good fps)
    Personally I use a 1440p on the side when I am gaming since it's only 144hz and when I am gaming I use a 1080p 240hz monitor as my main. My 2k monitor is 32" since it's rly good for content besides that overall I still prefer the 24" 1080p 240hz ips monitor I use.

    I would recommend a 1440p or 2k monitor with 160 fps, as its balanced and has something from both sides!

    in a 27", you DEFINITELY should use a higher res for that.
    Basically, the bigger the screen gets, the more stretched out the pixels can be. Make sure you get a high res so the pixels wont be stretched out too much.

  • @VioletPrism
    @VioletPrism 29 дней назад

    It's a huge difference on a quality screen. Same with 4k but most cheap TV's look identical on 1440p and 4k due to bad pixel density at most you will see slightly more shimmering artifacts.
