What a blessing, God is good. I relate. Got into med school at age 25, after so many regret letters, I am a Mom to a 7-year old. And here I am now, in my 4th year at 28.

@@noko_mokobiim struggling to get in I have a nursing degree with an average of 73% but ive been rejected so im considering doing a post graduate diploma course because I don’t know what to do now
This found me just when I was about to give up. I've been trying to get into Diagnostic Radiography but I already have a degree in Journalism and I'm a wife in my late 20's. I went to an interview for a training centre in 2022 and was told I'm too old and would make the senior students who would be managing me nervous and I was crushed. I took last year off and I'm trying again this year. I hope to come back to this post with good news.
Please come back with good news! There’s no such thing as “too old”. You’re mature enough to be able to navigate your way around a second degree and your wife-life and life in general! This is exciting, go for it! ❤️🎉
Oh my goodness this is so motivational ❤❤ I'm so glad I came across this video it's giving me the push that i need. I'm starting a 2nd undergrad from scratch next year at 23 and I keep worrying about being so much older than my classmates but i guess all that doesn't matter because i have a goal in mind. I also want to get into medicine so yeah I'm giving myself a second chance. At least this time it's something in health so i know i will enjoy it. I pray that soon i will tell my story just like you. Congratulations 👏 i wish you all the best with your journey Dr. All glory to the most high!
Yaaay! I am so excited for your story! And your mind is in the right place, you'll soon realise that being older is actually a great advantage cause you're more mature. But in the end, it really doesn't matter. Fetch your life. 🥰 And thank you!!
So touching and inspiring… really spoke to me in so many areas in trusting God for. Thank you for reminding us that rejection isn't a NO. God’s timing! ♥️
Gods timing is everything. We can never stop trusting Him because we are ultimately not in control of our destiny. But we know we are safe with Him, even through rejection! ❤️❤️❤️
Oooh Noko! What a magnificent God! I love your story. This is purpose, without a doubt. You’re amazing and I cannot wait for you to take us through as you continue your inspiring journey.
Oh Massi. God exceeds our expectations. I would have never known that this is his ultimate plan -to take such a long detour 😂 But I have peace. Thank you.
Go Mom! I absolutely believe in you, you’re going to finish strong and be so proud of yourself. Studying is never easy, but it’s always worth it. You can do it! And thank you so much ❤️
Wow Noko, this is so inspiring, and the fact that you kept going even in seasons when you didn’t feel like it. Such a daring courage. Well done and looking forward to learning more from you 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I had always and even this day want to be a doctor,am a nurse mind you...I still get rejections but medicine is where I belong...into engizoikhala when I get the congrats letter😢...and thanks for coming across your motivational journey into medicine ❤
Ahhh there is hope for you! You will make such an incredible doctor with your nursing background because you already know so much about patient care 🥰 Yazi ngizokhala nawe when you get that acceptance!!!!! 🫶🏽❤️ Stay encouraged.
We sometimes think people have it easy and they have it all figured out, but this right here proves that things don't always go as planned, and that's okay because God knows when and how it is going to happen....We serve a miracle working God, and no matter how difficult it is, all we have to do is just wait on Him because His timing is always perfect...I am truly inspired 😍🙌🙏
Truth only! You never know what people are going through cause it’s so hard to expose our struggles. And that’s normal. But it’s reassuring to know we serve a good good God. Thank you for your feedback ❤️❤️❤️
Hey 🌸 You know what, your Matric marks actually don’t count so much if you already have a degree. I struggled to get in with good Matric marks cause my degree marks were not great! There’s always a way 🙏🏾🤍
❤❤❤❤finally!! I loved this so much. You just motivated me to follow my dreams. Also can I just throw it out there that I hope you do Mrs SA story time 😅🫢
Wow this is so inspirational sis❤️😭. I relate so much in most of the things you said 🥹, struggling to get into Medical School with great matric results because your degree marks aren’t good. Please tell me when you applied at Stellenbosch and finally got an offer, at this time did you apply with the new marks of the post graduate qualification you did? Or you still applied with the university results you had? Also could you please tell me what did they ask you in the interview (I made an assumption that it’s Stellenbosch University that gave you an offer)
Hello! Yes, unfortunately you can pretty much forget about your matric marks once you have a degree. 🙄My postgrad marks were better than my degree marks and that is how I managed to get in. The interview questions basically relate to why you want to study medicine and why at that specific institution. 🌸
@@noko_mokobiim struggling to get in i have a degree in nursing with an average of 73% but ive been rejected im looking to doing a postgraduate diploma in something because i am now confused
Unfortunately not hey! Legally you’re obliged to disclose cause there’s a clause that you must accept with your application that says you’ve been honest about how you answered… and one of the questions you’ll have to answer is along the lines of “have you previously studied at a university”.
Funding is a tricky one! If you are able to get NSFAS and bursaries, GO FOR IT. Unfortunately for me I am currently self-funded, but still trusting that God will open up another route!!
Same. I tried from 2013 till 2020. I got accepted and now doing my 4th year
