When Eddie shouted " GLORIA DONNNTTT" I about jumped out of my skin 😂😂
Great episode, again said this 100 times, said it after the Margate episode and the Ravi vs Jack episode, EastEnders are still capable of producing classics like this but they lazily throw out tripe majority of the time.
The actor who plays Eddie is unfortunate that he looks evil in real life. He played this role to perfection. You knew the second they arrived on The Square that Eddie is a wrongun.
Fun fact he was also the xandarian broker in Guardians of the Galaxy.
I expected the twist but was a very good episode probably the best since Christmas day.
For me personally it was better than Christmas day, Christmas day was boring until the last 15 minutes or so. This had my attention the whole way through.
@@cfexplorations9583 Agreed. The Christmas episode wasn't even all that.
@cfexplorations9583 Yeah fair enough man I see a few people not been a fan of the Christmas ep to be fair.
The show has been dull although not poor since Christmas this is definitely the best episode this year so far it was brilliantly written and performed.
@@footballfanatic3481the Christmas episode was the start of the decline in to the new year as it’s always about the flipping six and there’s no time for any other characters I can’t wait until it’s over and I hope they all go down for it.
The best episode of this year so far.
This episode was brilliant. Colin Salmon and Christopher Fairbank’s performances were brilliant.
That was up there with get out of my pub , it was so unexpected and so cold. Wow , his masked slipped to show his true self .
The hand holding sad for George 😢but great acting
GET YOUR FILTHY HANDS OFF ME
Oh wow. Gloria loved George more than Eddie. Great acting
I’ve actually enjoyed the George and Eddie storyline but a lot of people don’t like it and couldn’t care less where George came from but I’ve enjoyed it.
George has just found out that he’s actually black 🤣.
But all seriousness. I thought this was gonna be shite racist storyline the typical white man bad. But it’s been one of the best ones so far.
We didn’t need to know about George’s background to be fair, it only got interesting when we found out about Eddie’s past too.
Eddie was ready to batter George here 😂
If Eddie was a younger man, it would’ve been a good fight considering they were both boxers back in the day.
Angry little gnome would get battered like a fish by george 😂
For a couple in their 8os Gloria and Eddie are acting really well here ❤❤
I don't think that they are actually in their 80s they are just playing a older couple that's the guy from Auf Wiedersehen Pet he is probably in his late 60s or early 70's
Christopher Fairbanks who plays Eddie is in his 70’s in real life.
@@lukedaley17He’s 70. He looks closer to 90 😂
Poor George
Wasn’t expecting that to be his dad idk what Eddie did for George no way is he getting that character reference now
Eddie certainly had some cheek wanting a character reference from the son of the man he killed.
I kinda saw the twist coming. Can’t believe Eddie had the audacity to ask George to defend him knowing full well he killed the latter’s real father.
Superb episode
George needs to say Auf Wiedersen to the old bigot.
I see what you did there 😉

This was fast lmao
George is going to smash up his pub becsuse he is fueled up with all off that rage his evil adoptive dad caused him
I’ve never really liked Eddie. As soon as he made comments about Gina’s hair and dress sense. It’s pretty obvious he’s a racist.
Well know George knows who killed his father. Sorry Eddie no character reference.
Eddie looks a bit like the old Albert Square milkman.
That guy was way tougher than Eddie though.
@@H.K.5 That milkman would give Charlie Slayer a good fight, and Reiss, not still lose though.
The square never had a milkman 😂

Poor George his adoptive parents lied to him his whole life
Nas and Timi kipiki when
Some serious issues are being raised
1.) he was actually farmed
2.) coming to terms his adopted father is an actual racist
3.) he watched his adopted father kill his real father whom he never knew that was his father at the time
4.) he then found out after all these years his adopted killed his real father and he ran .
The layers the layers 😢

Love Eddie he's a good man
No He isn't
@@s.l.l818 yes he is
If you seriously think that then there’s something seriously wrong with you. Because Eddie isn’t a nice man he’s the complete opposite to a nice man.

So every black actor in soap land has to be involved in a woke race storyline now? 🙄
George doesn’t represent every black character
@@zainabkhalid103 I didn't say that he does. I really like Colin Salmon and his character George has been a great addition to the show. Salmon has been one of my favourite actors since he starred in Pierce Brosnan's Bond films in the late 90's. However, my point is that I can't think of a black character in any soap that hasn't been involved in a woke storyline (the Bailey's in Corrie, Ethan in Emmerdale, Patrick and Keegan in EastEnders, to name just a few). It's always a storyline where said characters are a "victim of racist abuse". It's just ridiculous. I actually find it insulting to black actors, it feels like the writers think that they can't be anything other than victims. Bottom line, they're only fictional soap operas so it doesn't really matter, but I personally think the level of race storylines over the last few years is tedious and cringy. It's likely because we live in a society where it's become trendy to be a victim who throws buzzwords like racism and bigotry around. The writers are just trying to portray society as something that it really isn't.
We are only getting this because of this era we are in
@@bigbailey98 I cannot ever remember Clyde Tavernier or Steve Elliott getting racial abuse storylines in the 1990s. EE was not as woke back then.
@@bigbailey98 Agreed with everything you said there, people need to stop acting like certain races are oppressed when there’s people of all races who are victims of oppression. In this day and age, black people are treated just as fairly as every other race.
😅
nah Eddie isn't Racist if he could have voted for Obama to have another Term he would have 😂😂😂😂
