Thanks for your video! I have a 2021 John Deere and it was overheating and my screen was very dirty! And my air filter was dirty! Cleaned and changed the filters. Works great now. No overheating!
oh yah, totally not a design flaw...it's totally normal to have to stop every 20-30 minutes to clean it out when mowing a lawn or clearing brush with it. No issues when doing other types of work, but c'mon. That's a design flaw since these are primary use cases for these models. I get that you disagree, but you're just wrong. There is no reason to buy a tractor that can't run all day due to 20 minutes worth of dust being kicked up. It's stupid to even buy one with these issues.
Between my brother and I we own 6 different models of tractors of 3 different makes. All will collect debris on the front screen, and need cleared, when working in an environment that kicks up leaves and fluffy pollen. When I hired a guy to clear autumn olive with a CAT skid steer and mulching head he commented that he would check his radiator through the day for leaf and debris collecting. The fans are designed to pull outside air across the radiator fins and cool it. The grill screens and secondary screens are designed to catch debris before it lodges in the radiator screen. A pretty good design that apparently is flawed by at least 4 top tractor manufacturers and their engineers. Please share your credentials and experience so we can understand what your feedback is based on.
Howdy Jason! Yeah... not just a Deere issue. My Mahindra does the same dang thing. It has a screen as well... but is a bit of a pain to take out. I have to remove a bracket for the air filter to get the screen out. It is just one wingnut but still a pain. I use my EGO leaf blower to clean off the entire tractor and mower deck as well. Great minds think alike 🤣 Well done and thanks for sharing 🤠

This is all great advise, the simple things seem to slip by and catch you unaware until it literally shuts you down. Seems these small compacts have a host of things to watch for with all there versatility. Just keeping on top of it can be a dauntless task.

Excellent Yes I use my Ego battery powered leaf blower. I have a snub nose attachment also for it to detail vehicles and blow dry them. Plus battery leaf blowers work Excellent to blow snow off of vehicles and decks and porches.
Really like my ego blower. I use it to blow off decks, patios, equipment. This air gun really gets into tight spaces well. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@HardyLifeOutdoors Looks like you can pinpoint the air better. If I was mowing fields I would make me a holder like they have for chainsaws and carry my leaf blower with me so I have it right in the field.
I have thought about that. We mow a lot of invasive species and I would like to have an easy way to blow off any seeds in the field rather than spreading them to another area.

My Kubota did that before check your thermostat it could be bad
Good tip. But this is clearly bad air flow. Once I blew out the radiator (really good) the issue went away.
Not so on a 3033R 2016 year wish it did my older 4200 had one
Yea. My 4052r doesn’t have a removable screen either but the air gun does a great job of cleaning it out.
