Hey guys - my wife and I follow your videos and the ministry you both have. We can both attest that God uses you both compellingly and practically. Is it possible to restore a relationship where the "trust" has been broken? If so, how long does it usually take for the woman? Is the wife more prone not to forgive as quickly as the husband, or is the variable different for every marriage?
Love the points made, but I’d push back on the recommended book you gave by Gary Thomas. There are lots of problematic points made in the book Married Sex, specifically in the parts that he wrote, that need to be examined and questioned. Especially for those who are looking to have the conversation of improving your sex life and bringing life back into your intimacy as a couple, he presents concepts that will actually backtrack your goals. If you’re going to go for a book, I recommend “The Great Sex Rescue” written by Sheila Gregoire (author of To Love, Honor, and Vacuum) over Gary Thomas. And also, I think presenting these points as “affair-proof” brings a lens of fear, that I have to do these things otherwise my marriage is going to fail because I’m not enough. If we present it as “ways to strengthen and bring life to your marriage”, then there’s a lens of confidence and joy. I hope that makes sense. Thanks for bringing these points up to start the conversation!
U see it as a lens of fear and having to do what they said, but I dont! They've been arrived 19 years. How many years have u been married? No one else is complaining about the book, their title or anything they said but u. U should make ur own video and talk about the book u want, title ur video, and watch other people criticize and downgrade ur work. Bye Felicia!
