  • WATCH NOW! My experience with Eurostars Partner High Speed Train Operator - Thalys
    • Paris to Amsterdam: Th...
    Join me onboard Eurostar inaugural 2019 service from Marseille Saint Charles to London St Pancras International onboard a Magnificent Class 373 or E300.
    Despite my train arrived into Marseille Saint Charles inbound from London about 20 Minutes late, it was turned around and sent on it's way again in about 12 minutes. The Refurbished Eurostar E300 is a very Comfortable Train to travel on with Eurostar's Free Wifi and Power Sockets, Spacious Seats and 2 Buffet Cars making the experience very enjoyable for this 8 hour journey. Although at Lille, the passengers go through security in stages. The rear half of the train go through first followed by the front half. Though me in the second half sat onboard the trains for about 40 minutes before being Checked. Although not in the video there was a sort of welcome party when the train arrived into London St Pancras International at around 10:30PM from families waiting on friends and relatives getting of the first Eurostar Marseille Service of the year.

    Nicely made video.
    Wouldn't it be nice to see more eurostar services available to other european cities, making a pleasant change from flying.
    For thoughs of us in not so much of a hurry to get there, taking the train is a great alternative.
    Thank you for sharing the experience.🙂👍

      I 100% agree, I would absolutely love to see Eurostar running services to other European cities like Frankfurt or even Milan. However I do not believe this is likely to happen in the next couple of years whist they recover from the pandemic.
      Like many other train enthusiasts, I am hoping to travel again on the Eurostar as soon as I can.

      I think "Shocked" is a better word. I actually saw the train coming from round a bend thats why i turned the camera on. It was just the sheer speed it was going that made me jump with susprise.

    These trains looks like the Acela in the US. The Acela are basically French design locomotives.

    • @PlanesTrainsFan
      @PlanesTrainsFan  3 года назад

      You're right the Acela does look a lot like the Eurostar. In fact, the Acela is developed by French manufacturer Alstom, same country as the TGV and Eurostar.

    • @PlanesTrainsFan
      @PlanesTrainsFan  4 года назад

      Well actually the station was quite busy. I took the shots of the trains and signs when there was a gap between the crowds. Although the station was busy, my train wasn't busy until Lyon.
