What a perfect cottage, elegant yet cozy. Beautiful and peaceful countryside. You have a talent for finding just the right spot for a getaway. I am getting used to Joerg's sense of humor and have learned to listen closely to catch his quips. He makes me laugh! I get a kick out of the way he sometimes catches Kirsten by surprise and she giggles.
Oh I have totally fallen in love with that place. The cottage is beyond charming! Love all the period furniture and artwork and of course the china. The scene with the rainbow is just beautiful. Thanks for taking us along.

I live in a village a couple of villages over from the estate and I drive past the houses often, as I walk my dog on the grounds at Castle Howard, usually ending up in the farm shop for something or other. It was lovely to have a tour of one of the properties.
What a lovely area. If the cars weren't there I'd say you are back in time. Amazing that people live in such surroundings now. We in the states can't imagine how that might be. The cottage was lovely, loved the lighting fixtures. So lucky you were to be there, thank you❤️😁

The cottage looked so cosy! Castle Howard is one of my favourite grand houses in the UK; we went there last year for the second time. It's a beautiful estate and I remember the farm shop/gift shop was so busy at the time too (we went in June), but it had a great selection of food and gifts (in my opinion). The bridge Joerg walked across was closed in June, because of renovations. I will check out the next video 🙂

And like you I love China and before I had to move into my little apartment I add many different sets of China and I just couldn't seem to stop buying them. Just discovered your channel, subbed immediately when I heard your voice…❤ I’m from Canada and I have ALWAYS wanted to live in a traditional English cottage or an old Victorian home… I LOVE old buildings, they have so much character. Homes like these do exist in parts of Canada but completely unaffordable unless you’re a multi-millionaire. Even just to rent for a weekend is thousands of dollars (depending on the location/size). So I live vicariously through RUclips channels such as these…. But your channel is special because you don’t talk too much, just enough…and your voice is so calming, the camera movement is just right… 😊

Orange sauce marries very well with poultry. I am not a big fan of duck, it is quite rich for me. But I would often make an orange sauce with orange juice and zest if I had a fresh orange. If not, orange juice, rosemary, a light savory sauce or butter and whatever else struck my fancy and would cook a chicken, turkey breast or Cornish hens in the sauce in the oven and would baste the bird with the sauce a few times and then thicken it a bit as a gravy. The carrots would bake very well with the chicken and sauce. Beautiful estate! Thanks for the tour!
