For others who are considering starting accutane, make sure to consult your dermatologist to discuss your medical history and associated risks of accutane. Yes, accutane has its side effects, however, in recent times micro-dosing or low-dose accutane courses have been implemented and are successful in clearing patients’ acne while minimizing side effects to the most severe being skin dryness in most cases. Also, accutane isn’t something you have to fully commit to, you can stop at any time :)
My derm said for hormonal acne it’ll just come back within 1-3 years after accutane for most people, that’s why I didn’t go on it when I was struggling. But I get what you’re saying and agree!
Yes! Especially teenagers often have to do it again in their mid-twenties. But yeah the amount of time one has acne clearance really depends on factors that are triggering the acne like hormones, etc., like your derm mentioned!

try wrapping the top of your diptique candle with aluminum foil the next time you burn it, it helps the hard wax at the top melt down 🫶🏻
For the candle, put a little bit of tin foil around it and create a little dome on top with a opening for air and it’ll fix the candle! ❤

Wrap aluminum foil around the mouth of the candle as you burn it, so it will burn the outer rim to stop the tunneling :)

I’m so proud of you for clearing your skin using other products besides accutane. I have been watching your videos for 4+ years now and you’ve always been such an inspiration to me, and I definitely advocate for using the cleanest solutions possible in every aspect of life. I just wanted other girls to know that I did have to go on accutane, and if you have to, it’s not the end of the world. I had horrible cystic acne, like Maggie, and I took accutane for 7 months (that’s what my dermatologist recommended) and it cleared completely for me and I’ve been off of it for 2 years and no breakouts, so don’t feel like it’s the end of the world if you do end up taking it because it was honestly great for me.

You should try the brand Ascent Protein. There’s only like 5 ingredients in it, and it tastes so good! I like to add 2 scoops of dry PB to it as well. Amazing!!! Highly recommend.

Every time I eat eggs 2 days in a row I have really bad acne too. I've never been a fun of eggs but back in 2020 I started eating them for breakfast and my skin went crazy! I had to go see the lady who does my facial (she has 15years of experience) and her first question was: do you eat anything that you are not used to? I told her yeah.. I eat eggs for breakfast since a week now. She said: stop it now and let's see what happens. Well.. my skin cleared up immediately!
