    I have recently found your channel and must say I’m hooked. Your attention to detail is mind blowing . I love watching you manufacture or remanufacture a part to make things work. I wish I had tools and skills to to do this. 👍

    Good vid, looks like your typical abandoned project where the owner has bitten off more than they can chew, but at least it'll be sorted when they get it back. Best advice would be to pay you to finish it!

      We will have to see if he has the budget really, money is tight for everyone these days isn’t it mate.

      @@skidmores.garage Yep, but at the end of the day sometimes you have to accept you need to spend money if its not something you can do yourself, in my case bodywork! There's obviously a good chunk of money been spent there for no benefit so far. I'm guessing the wirings been done enough to fire the engine and thats it.

    Funny about the wife's attitude about your beard. I've had a beard since 1977. My wife and kids asked me to shave it off so I did about 30 years ago. My youngest who was about 3 at the time took one look and said " grow it back". My wife said give it a day or two. The next day she agreed " grow it back"

    Great stuff as always Matt. The best 'tool' I have bought for my garage this year, was a foam kneeling pad to go on the garage floor - call me a softee, but it is BLISS! - watching you kneeling on that hard, cold floor made me think of it - if you don't have one then treat yourself for Chrimbo - you won't look back!

      What you could not see in the video is I hit my knee of the bolts sticking out the front subframe and spent 5 mins saying some horrible things to that bolt lol

    When you took about the willwood brakes you like, is that the dynalite 4 pot callipers?
    Does someone make a kit or you just make adaptors? And do they work with 10inch wheels?
    In nz the KAD brakes are very expensive compared to the willwood callipers

    • @skidmores.garage
      @skidmores.garage  Год назад +2

      Yes mate the 4 pot wilwood ether dynamite or power light. Zcar used to make the kit but I don’t know if they do any more they are 265mm disc do only for the 13” wheel I think the biggest you can fit under 10” is the kad 6 pot setup on a 7.9” disc

    • @neilbedford5082
      @neilbedford5082 Год назад +1

      You could be right. I drove a mate's Metro turbo many years ago and that had a lose rack. It felt wrong, with loads of vibration through the steering wheel. He knew he had a problem but it took us a while to figure it out. I thought the track rod ends were completely shot, but they were fine, the rack was moving.
