  • Looking to replace your Honda H emblem with a more personalized color? Considering removing your Honda emblem, but don't know how? Maybe you're thinking about plasti-dip for your emblems? You're not alone - I have as well, and I'm going to see which one of these, emblem removal and replacement, plasti-dip the emblem, or vinyl wrap emblem is right for our project car, the 2019 Honda Accord 2.0 Touring. A great cosmetic mod to personalize your 10th Gen Honda Accord (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 Honda Accord). In this video, I'm going to try my hand at vinyl wrapping the Honda front H emblem. There are quite a few vinyl wrap manufacturers, including 3M wrap, Vvivid wrap, Inozetek wrap, and Avery Dennison wrap. Regardless of vinyl wrap manufacturer, find out how easy / or hard it is to use vinyl wrap as a chrome delete on your project car. I do NOT have a lot of experience working with vinyl, but this video will go through the steps that I followed, and my lessons learned. Hopefully this information will help you decide if you'd like to try wrapping your car badging yourself. In a future video, I'll be using Plasti-Dip for the first time on the rear Accord, and Touring 2.0 badges to black them out ; )

Excellent work on the H emblem vinyl wrapping. You've convinced me to do mine now.
I highly recommend plastidipping the Accord and 2.0T badges on the back, the black-on-white contrast will be nice! The Touring badge however will just look like a black bar so I would suggest debadging that one. You'll find plastidip to be a lot of fun like vinyl as well. On my Accord, I did plastidip on the side window chrome trims.

Thank you and good luck with yours 👍. I tried Plasti-Dip a couple days ago on the back emblems - it looks pretty good 😁👍

Nice job. Looks good for a first attempt! (especially with all the curves and radii). I was not confident in my wrap skills so I paid a pro ($20) to wrap my emblem, I found a 3M vinyl sample ($6) that closely matches the SNP. I've got enough to do it again if it gets damaged. It's holding up well after a couple of months. For the rear emblems I used a product called Hyperdip (IMO much better than plasti-dip). One can ($18 shipped) was enough to do all the rear emblems and chrome exhaust trim. I'm very happy with results.

I tried Plasti-Dip on the rear emblems this past weekend and although it’s not perfect it came out pretty good. It’s inexpensive and reversible which I like 👍

Hi Chad, vinyl wrapping is definitely a better solution than Plasti-Dip or Superwrap. I spend $$$ in plasti-dip cans until I finally finished with vinyl for my car. More color choice and gloss using vinyl and more durable. Plasti-dip is not a bad choice but if you only do cover the chrome, it is still less effort wrapping than having to tape all your car for plasti-dipping. Also, liquid plastic really smell when you spray it (require layers) and you may need to do it outside to avoid family complaints!

Hey Chad, I’d vote debadge, but if you are looking to change the emblem colors I would go plastidip. So much easier than vinyl for emblems. Plus there are plenty of color options. You could go white, black or even clear to give the chrome an aluminum look. Let me know if you need a hand. I debadged the Accord and Sport off the back of mine. So much easier to clean and wax.

I tried my hand at the Plasti-Dip this past weekend and it wasn’t too bad. I can see benefits with going either with vinyl or the Plasti-Dip. Hopefully I can finish it up and decide which I prefer myself 😁

I would definitely dip the rear badges. You don't want a blade that close to your paint and it would be a ton of cutting. Dip is really easy to work with. See the numberous videos on RUclips of how to do badges. But great video on wrapping the front emblem.

Good vid but I have to ask...why didnt you take the emblem off the car to wrap it? Its so easy to remove and then you could have stretched the material and made perfect straight lines. But I am glad I saw this because I have had some electric blue carbon fiber vinyl sitting around for years but never had a use for it but now I think I will do the badge on my 2017 Type R. So thanks for the idea.
