You continue to inspire with each creation you share. Thank you for everything. Love the unsettling metal sounds and overall vibe in this one. You're a big part of why I started a youtube channel myself to share the music we make too. 🙏
Thanks so much for the kind words, man! We've had a lot of awesome discussions over the past few years, here on youtube and on elektronauts and elsewhere. I'm glad to hear I inspired you guys to start a youtube channel. And all our discussions have definitely inspired me to explore in certain direction with hardware and software, too!
Ohh, thank you very much! So THAT's why I felt like something was missing from the kick until I added the noise! I actually didn't think about the snare rattle thing when I made this. Must've been subconscious, hehe.
It’s clear how much you know FM synth, it’s not just turning knobs, you know when, how and anticipate the results…. Ok some happy accidents too. Bravo!
Why does this thing sound so good every time I hear it? im actually not a huge fan of the FM sound and I dont especially like most of what I hear from the og DT (your stuff being a notable exception) but this machine ... damn. What makes it different???
Impressively eerie. All the right tweaks at the right time to keep it lively... Or more appropriately, deadly. I love your beat stuff, but explore this vibe more.
Thank you very much, man! I feel like I've been stuck in a trip-hop rut and have been exploring synth stuff like this to try to get unstuck, hehe. It's very satisfying!
Would love this for cinematic sound s for my hiking videos. Would I need other equipment as well? Can you record whole songs? How do you get a wav or aiff of the track?
Hehe, it's overwhelming, trying to get the most out of both machines at the same time! You don't HAVE to use them like that, but that's what's holding me back when trying to pair them together. I have a hard time just letting the Digitakt play samples without feeling like I'm underutilizing it :D
I've put it up for sale, but it hasn't been sold yet. I do feel a bit weird selling it when it's been such a huge part of my growth on youtube, but I can't justify keeping both the DN1 and DN2!

@IvarTryti Looking forward to the continued exploration and discussions! ❤️
as a drummer i think it’s so cool that it sounds like the bass is making the snare drum rattle. great track!

An Ivar video with 'dark' and 'spooky' in the title? My hand clicked before my mind had the chance to think :D
hehe, thank you very much!

You continue to make all the best soundtracks to the games that don't exist 🙌
Thanks a lot for the kind words, man! A lot of my inspiration comes from game soundtracks :D

Sooooo fuckin gooooood omg
is it just fomo, or does the digitone 2 have a completely different sound than the digitone 1

Nice one! Did you sell your DTone1 or still keep him? I have mine & I think I will keep it.. I don't like getting rid of my gear :D
